Newcastle REACH agreement with AC Milan for Sandro Tonali

Newcastle United have reached an agreement with AC Milan for the signing of  Italy international midfielder Sandro Tonali.  The Magpies are keen on adding a creative midfielder to their ranks this summer and have targeted Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella and Leicester City midfielder James Maddison. But the price tag of both players has discouraged them from pursuit, with Inter wanting £70million for Barella while Leicester want £60million for Maddison, who has been leaning towards a move to Tottenham. Read more: Manchester United is ACTIVELY searching for a NEW GOALKEEPER as David de Gea contract talks continue Inter and Leicester’s valuation of both players has led Newcastle to chase Italy international Tonali, who they expect to get for less. Earlier this week, Eddie Howe’s side presented an opening bid of £42million (€50million) for the player. But according to 90min, they have now agreed on a deal with Newcastle, with the Magpies expected to pay €70m (£60m), including add-ons. That would make Tonali the second most expensive signing of all time at St. James Park, following last year’s capture of Swedish forward Alexander Isak. Tonali will now undergo a medical in Romania – where Italy are based for the European Under-21 Championships – before putting pen to paper on a six-year contract. The 23-year-old has 14 senior caps for Italy. He has made 130 appearances for AC Milan and won the Serie A title in the 2021-22 season.

Manchester United is ACTIVELY searching for a NEW GOALKEEPER as David de Gea contract talks continue

Manchester United are actively in the market for a new goalkeeper despite continuing talks with current number one David de Gea. The Red Devils and de Gea have been in discussion since last year over renewing the goalkeeper’s contract, which expires this month. United revealed last week that they are still locked in negotiations with the Spaniard when announcing their retained list. However, according to 90min, Man United are still looking to sign a new goalkeeper despite progressing in talks with de Gea. The 32-year-old received a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League but is expected to turn it down in favour of staying at Old Trafford. Read more: Revealed: the UCL Promise Erling Haaland made to Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak  Man United’s top targets are Brentford’s David Raya and Porto’s Diogo Costa. However, United are not the only side interested in Raya, with the Spaniard currently in talks with Tottenham. But Spurs are unwilling to meet the Bees’ £40m asking price, which could open the door for the Red Devils, who are willing to stump up that sum.  Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag also remains a huge fan of Inter Milan’s Andre Onana, having worked with the Cameroonian at Ajax. Inter may need to sell the 27-year-old to balance their books, so his move to Old Trafford is a huge possibility. But Chelsea are reportedly interested in Onana, with the future of Eduoard Mendy uncertain. Should De Gea sign a new contract, it is less likely that Manchester United will spend a huge amount on a new goalkeeper.

Revealed: the UCL Promise Erling Haaland made to Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has revealed that star striker Erling Haaland promised to win the Champions League title for the club when he signed last year. City secured their first UEFA Champions League title earlier this month when they beat Inter Milan 1-0 in the final. That title win ended years of agony for Pep Guardiola’s side, who had had several heartbreaks in the competition prior to the win in Istanbul. Haaland played a huge role in City’s run to the final, finishing top scorer in the competition with 12 goals. Read more: Chelsea forward Kai Havertz ‘agrees personal terms with Arsenal and is keen on a move to the Gunners’ Speaking about his side’s Champions League win and the impact of Haaland on the club, the Man City chairman revealed that the Norwegian had promised that he would help the club win the UCL in his first season. “What an addition he has been,” Chairman Khaldoon told City’s official media.  “Going back to that conversation. So this was my first conversation post him signing the contract. But what amazed me about Erling is his confidence. He’s got something special, confidence with respect. And to be having that conversation post signing your contract with your Chairman and saying at the end of that conversation, ‘Mr. Chairman, I’m going to win the Champions League for you. I’m here to win the Champions League for Manchester City, and we’re going to win it this year is really a testament to the greatness of this player. And to show you where Erling is going, this is the beginning. And the scary part, this is just the beginning for him.” Haaland scored 51 goals in 52 matches in his debut season for Man City, setting a new record of 36 strikes in a Premier League season. He also equalled Lionel Messi’s record of five goals in a Champions League knockout match when he scored for City against RB Leipzig in March.  Khaldoon underlined the striker’s hunger and desire to be the best. “Well, that’s the beauty of Erling is that he’s a champion. He’s never satisfied. If it’s one goal, if it’s no goals, if it’s two goals, if it’s five goals, even five goals,” he said. “And I remember when he scored five after the game, he was telling me, ‘Yeah, but I should have scored another three or four’, genuinely not joking. Like in his mind, he knows, ‘I should have probably scored seven that night or even eight that night’. That’s that winning mentality. That’s that winning recipe which you know is intangible. That’s the intangible, the anomaly that makes you great. And in Erling, I think this club now, we have an unbelievable, unbelievable player.”

Luke Shaw reveals he is encouraging Declan Rice and Harry Kane to join Manchester United

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has admitted that he is speaking to national team teammates Harry Kane and Declan Rice to join him at Old Trafford. Both Kane and Rice are transfer targets of United, who are keen on signing a proven goalscorer and an energetic defensive midfielder this summer.  The Red Devils are expected to bid for Kane and Rice in the coming days as soon as they get clarity from the club. Read more: Chelsea forward Kai Havertz ‘agrees personal terms with Arsenal and is keen on a move to the Gunners’ Ahead of a potential move for the duo, Manchester United fans were sent into hysteria over the weekend when Shaw shared a picture on social media showing him alongside Kane and Rice. The trio are currently part of the England squad training at Man United’s Carrington training facilities ahead of the Three Lions Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday. Shaw’s social media post came with the teasing caption ‘Carrington tour’, leading fans to speculate that he was tapping both players for the club. And when asked about Kane and Rice coming to Old Trafford this summer during a pre-match press conference, the left-back stated that he is talking to both players about how good Manchester United is.  “I was half joking; it is a bit of both. But I would take them in a heartbeat if it was down to me. Hopefully, they like it and can get used to it,” Shaw said. “I would love a few of them to join – I am not going to lie,” he said of his England teammates. “I am speaking to them, telling them how good Manchester is because I know their qualities. “I know they are world-class players, and they would be a massive help to us, but I can only say so much. It is up to the club, and whatever they decide, so we have to go from there. It is not normally discussed, but because of the time of the season, there is a lot of talk, a lot of banter.”

Kyle Walker in advanced talks to join Bayern Munich

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is reportedly close to joining Bayern Munich. The Englishman has spent six successful years at the Etihad Stadium since joining from Tottenham. But he has now grown tired of life at the Manchester club after he was used sparingly as City won the treble in the just concluded season. His lack of game time has motivated him to seek a move elsewhere, and he has found suitors in Bayern Munich.  According to The Athletic, the Bavarians are closely monitoring Walker’s situation at City and have offered him a deal to join them at Allianz Arena this summer. The Bundesliga giants see the right-back as a perfect right-back and are a better option than João Cancelo, who they signed on loan from City in January. They do not expect the fee and personal terms to be an issue, as Walker has just a year left on his contract.  Thomas Tuchel is also said to be central to Bayern’s quest for the player, with the former Chelsea boss said to be a big admirer of the 33-year-old England international. Walker made 254 appearances for City in six seasons. He has won five Premier League titles, four League Cups, and two FA Cups.

Chelsea forward Kai Havertz ‘agrees personal terms with Arsenal and is keen on a move to the Gunners’

Chelsea striker Kai Harvetz has reportedly agreed to sign for Arsenal this summer. The German international is one of the several players Chelsea are willing to sell this summer after he rejected a new contract offer at Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old was earmarked to be a key player under the new leadership of Mauricio Pochettino. But his reluctance to commit to a new deal beyond the summer of 2025, when his current deal will expire, means that the Blues put him up for sale to avoid losing him for cheap next season when he will have just one year left in his contract. Read more: Newcastle INTERESTED in Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella  Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were considered keen on signing him. But now, according to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have stolen a march on the other teams in the race for his signature. According to Romano, a deal has been agreed between the player and Arsenal, with the Gunners expected to submit a bid soon. Mikel Arteta has long been an admirer of the forward and sees him as a perfect fit for his attack. While a fee between the two clubs is yet to be agreed upon, Arteta’s side is said to be confident of getting the deal over the line after the international break. According to reports, the North London club opened talks earlier this week with a £60million bid valuation while offering Harvetz a wage packet said to be in the region of £ 200,000 per week. The 24-year-old is currently on international duty with Germany and played the full 90 minutes as Hansi Flick’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat against Poland in a friendly on Friday.
