Albania VS Spain: Preview And Expert Football Prediction

No other team would want to be Albania as they face an impossible task of winning against qualified and exceptional Spain in Group B on Monday. The Albianians have shown grit and effort in their last two group stages matches. But, needed an equaliser in injury-time to get a point over Croatia in their previous match. They’ll need to beat the Spanish in Albania VS Spain. Follow MatchPlug to get the Expert Football Predictions, picks, odds, and analysis for Albania VS Spain. We are a reliable Prediction Site to get Euro 2024 previews.  Predictions and Betting Preview For Albania VS Spain  Venue: Dusseldorf Arena. When: Monday, June 24th, 2024. Time: 14:00. Teams to play: Albania and Spain. Expert Picks: MONEYLINE 1.501. Odds provided by 1XBet. Betting On Albania 1XBet Spread: +1 1XBet Over/Under: Over 2.5 1XBet Moneyline: 7.35 Albania entered this match with only two victories in their last eight outings, both against Liechtenstein and Azerbaijan. A loss to Italy in their Euro 2024 opener, despite scoring the fastest goal in Euro Finals history, was backed by a 2-2 draw with Croatia in their last match. The Albanians have not struggled against two clubs that are recent World Cup Finalists and are more than capable of being a problem for Spain.  The question for Albania is if they have what it takes to turn their effort and energy into chances and goals. On the upside, they have scored in all their last four matches, but also conceded five in the last three. The latter stat may be Albania’s undoing against the opponent they’ll face on Monday. Betting On Spain 1XBet Spread: -1 1XBet Over/Under: Under 2.5 1XBet Moneyline: 1.501 Spain manager Luis de la Fuente will be excited by how his team has done at the tournament so far. Two victories and a guaranteed top spot in the group and a spot in the Round of 16, all secured without a breach in their defence. That is an excellent start by any accounts. Spain’s best performance was in their 3-0 opening group match win over Croatia, but they also maintained composure in the match against Italy.  Although an own goal gave them the victory in that match, their three-points against Italy was well-deserved. With Spain having nothing to play for here, de la Fuente may rest most of his top players. Regardless, the squad he brings to the contest will be powerful opponents for Albania. MatchPlug Prediction For Albania VS Spain  Spain have put one of the most excellent performances at Euro 2024 so far in the contest, winning both their matches to qualify for the knockout stage with a game to spare. Albania have been competitive in both their matches with Italy and Croatia, but only have one point from those meetings. They will now face a strong contender on Monday in this tournament. Final Prediction: Spain Moneyline.

Teams to play: Scotland and Hungary. Expert Picks: MONEYLINE 2.561. Odds provided by 1XBet. Betting On Scotland 1XBet Spread: 0 1XBet Over/Under: Over 2.5 1XBet Moneyline: 2.744 Scotland took a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Germany in their campaign opener. In their last outing, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Switzerland. Kiernan Tierney suffered a hamstring injury in this match and has left the camp. His absence is a big blow for Steve Clarke, who is also missing defender Ryan Porteous who has been suspended.  The Scottish had a captivating game against Switzerland on Wednesday and they almost missed out on the victory, after Grant Hanley’s header hit the woodwork following a brilliant free-kick from Andrew Robertson. Tierney’s injury also dampened the team’s mood and Steve Clarke will have to replace the Arsenal defender. Clark might choose Lawrence Shankland in this must-win fixture.  Betting On Hungary 1XBet Spread: 0 1XBet Over/Under: Under 2.5 1XBet Moneyline: 2.561 Hungary also needs to qualify for the knockout stages, but needs a big win in this game. They lost 2-0 to Germany in their last outing and cannot move onto the next round of the tournament until they win this match. The Hungarian team’s poor form in the European Championship reared its ugly head on Wednesday as they lost to the hosts. They got four shots on target but could not find the back of the net. They have scored at least once in six of their nine matches at the European Championships in the 21st century and will want to build on this form. MatchPlug Prediction For Scotland VS Hungary  While Scotland can pull off a victory here, they are missing two of their key defenders, which might affect their performance. Fatigue will be an issue for they and Hungary. And considering their recent record in the Euros, this match may end in a draw.  Final Prediction: Hungary Moneyline.

The Germans passed Hungary by an easy 2-0 margin in their last game and will want to recreate that result today. Die Mannschaft have been one of the best teams in the contest so far and will need to peak at the right time. Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz have really grown this year and will want to make an impact here.  MatchPlug Prediction For Switzerland VS Germany  Switzerland can pull off an upset when they play and have been trouble for Germany in the past. southgate on denmark draw: not what we wanted

Southgate on Denmark draw: ‘Not what we wanted’

England coach Gareth Southgate agrees the team is disappointing for their 1-1 draw with Euro 2024 opponents Denmark on Thursday.  Morten Hjulmand’s long range drive cancelled Harry Kane’s opener. This means that England’s last 16 chances enter into the final group game. Southgate said after the match: “Clearly not what we would have hoped. We’re not using the ball well enough and we have to accept that if you do that you will suffer at times as we have tonight. We know there’s another level we have to find.  “I think we’ve played teams that are quite fluid in back threes and it’s not easy to get pressure on them but we’ve got to do that better than we have in these last two matches. Not keeping the ball has been another problem.” On Trent Alexander-Arnold  in midfield, he continued: “He’s had some moments where he’s delivered what we thought he would. We know it’s an experiment. We know we don’t have a natural replacement for Kalvin Philips. We’re trying different things and at the moment we’re not flowing as we’d like.   “There’s a huge amount of work, that’s evident from the two performances we’ve given and we’ve got to be tight. We understand people will be disappointed with the performances and rightly so and we’ve got to make them better.”

spain secure euros progression with win over Italy

Spain secure Euros progression with win over Italy

Spain qualified for the knockout stages of the Euro 2024 with a match to spare after defeating Italy 1-0 in their 11th appearance at a major football contest. With this being their fifth meeting in European Championships, but Spain and Italy were familiar rivals as they took the field in search of success within their respective groups.  Spain showed they can move on, after Italy eliminated them at Euro 2016 and Euro 2024. Their win over Croatia was with less possession; the first time since the Euro 2008 final. La Roja saw plenty of the ball early in their match with Italy, and some grand build-up saw Pedri’s header cause a spectacular save from Gianluigi Donnarumma.  Italy could not maintain Spain’s space and Nico Williams tried his golden headed chance 10 minutes in, nodding past the post.  As the half continued, the Italians seemed to strike on the counter, but the Spanish dominated as Alvaro Morato sent a shot at Donnarumma, before the keeper pulled off another save from Fabian Ruiz’s long-range effort. Having witnessed an early chance foiled within 90 seconds of the first half, there was an early second-half symmetry  as Pedri sent his 12-yard shot wide of the goal. Given their inability to find the back of the net, maybe Spain’s coach Luis de la Fuented was relieved when his team led the match, thanks to Riccardo Calafiori’s own goal 55 minutes into the game; although it was well-deserved for Spain. Spain showed glimpses of their golden era by the way they passed the ball around, with Italy unable to keep up with Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Williams. Yamal almost scored one of the goals in the match with 20 minutes to go, curling an impressive attempt into the woodwork from the edge of the box. The Italian team finally penetrated Spain’s defence with 10 minutes left, but it was too late. However, Italy will hope to play better when they face Croatia in a crucial group stage game. Spain, continue to defy critics and are playing their best football ahead of their meeting with Albania.

Burton Albion have signed Chelsea midfielder Charlie Webster. Webster will join Burton in a permanent transfer after spending last season on-loan with Heerenveen. He is a talented midfielder with creative skills and goal-scoring abilities. “Charlie’s addition brings a new dynamic to our squad, and we are really looking forward to seeing him in action for Burton Albion.”
