Eddie Howe has built Bournemouth into one of the Premier League’s most effective sides. They have been improving every season and this may be the season that they finally make it to Europe. The Cherries are not considered a contender for the top six, however, they have been so good this season that they sit 6th on the league table ahead of this game and lead Manchester United and Watford on goal difference. The Cherries have suffered a dip in form over the past few weeks as they have been beaten by Manchester United and Newcastle recently. The international break should have given them enough time to plan for the visit of the Gunners here. Arsenal ushered in a new era when they named Unai Emery as a replacement to Arsene Wenger over the summer. The Spaniard made an understandably slow start to his Arsenal career, but he has since turned things around for the Gunners as they head into this game in fine form. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 16 competitive fixtures, but they haven’t won 4 of their last 5 games, so they come into this game in need of a win, it would be interesting to see how they fair here.

The International break is over and Chelsea would be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they visit Wembley in this game, however, Spurs know that only a win would keep them within touching distance of their title rivals. The hosts have been waiting to move into their new stadium since the start of the season and that could be on until next season, Nevertheless, they have managed to collect 9 wins that has placed them just 5 points off the top of the Premier League table. They are not doing as good in the Champions League and need a win against Inter Milan next week to keep them in the competition ahead of the knockout stages, so they would most likely have an eye on that game as they take to the field here. Chelsea can focus fully on getting all three points in this game as they have already qualified for the knockout stage of the Europa League, however, they would still face a major hurdle if they want to get all three points from this game. Chelsea are unbeaten in all competitions since they lost to Manchester City in the Community Shield. This is a run of 18 games, 14 of which have ended in wins for them. They were held to a goalless draw at home by Everton the last time out and that shows that Maurizio Sarri’s team is still a work in progress, but a win here would change that opinion quickly. Chelsea have won three, drawn one, and lost two of their last six meetings with Tottenham. However, Chelsea have beaten Spurs 4 times at Wembley, which is more than any club has beaten another at the stadium

These two teams are among the biggest teams in the Ligue 1, while they aren’t necessarily doing poorly, they should be doing better than they are doing at the moment. Lyon finished third in Ligue 1 last season and they are currently 4th on the league table. They have been very devastating at some points this season like when they beat Marseille 4-2, but they seem to be very vulnerable at the back. They conceded 43 goals last season, that is more than Amiens who finished 13th conceded and they have already conceded 17 goals in this new campaign. They have also kept just a single clean sheet this season, this could see them drop points here again. Saint Etienne have also collected 17 points from a possible 24 so far this season, but they seem to have won games that Lyon would have dropped points in. They come into this game having secured 5 solid wins against the likes of Monaco,  Reims, Angers, and Toulouse. They did struggle to beat Angers and Toulouse, but that was down to the resilience of those opponents. Lyon have lost four of their last nine Ligue 1 games against St Etienne (W3 D2), after losing only one of their previous 27 (W16 D10). Lyon have won only three of their last 10 home games against St Etienne in Ligue 1 (D5 L2), after winning eight of their previous nine (D1).

This has been a hot and cold start to the season for Bayer Leverkusen and they head into this game on the back of a 3-0 loss to RB Leipzig. The international break should have given them time to work on getting back to winning ways as they come into this game on the back of a single win in their last six league games. They have enjoyed some success in the German Cup and the Europa League. They were also without Bellarabi in their last game, and his return for this clash make them a more potent attacking team, it could also get them all three points in this game. Stuttgart are looking like the first team that would be relegated from the German top flight this season. They may have beaten Nurnberg 2-0 before the international break, they are still rooted at the bottom of the Bundesliga table after just a win in 11 matches. The away side made a managerial switch in the October international break but things have remained largely the same as they look to be heading back to 2. Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen lost 1-0 at home to Stuttgart when the two sides last met in April. Stuttgart have won just one of the last 14 meetings between them (W1 D3 L10).

West Brom would be looking for a second consecutive win when they visit Portman Road in this game while the home side would be looking to get a first win under Paul Lambert and move closer to avoiding relegation this season. The visitors beat Leeds United before the break and that result has placed them in the 5th position as they bid to bounce straight back into the Premier League. However, they are facing a team in need of all the points and they may be made to work much harder if they are to come away with anything from this game. The home side have won just one in 17 games this season and they seem to be on their way down to league one. Since they named Paul Lambert as their new manager, they have had a little improvement having gone from consecutive defeats to back to back draws, but that is too small an improvement when compared to the task ahead of them. West Brom suffered some slumps recently after they had played their way into the automatic playoff spot. They however, beat Leeds 4-1 just before the international break, and that should have boosted their confidence ahead of this game. Ipswich have won just one of their previous nine league meetings with West Brom (D2 L6), however this will be the first such clash since January 2010.

These two teams come into this game with the knowledge that a win would get them promoted to the second tier of European international football. Scotland’s win over Albania has made them favourites to win this group as they play Israel in this game, but the British side can’t afford to underrate this Israeli team in this game. The Scots took the lead when both teams met in Israel in the reverse fixture, but they were still beaten by the Israelis 2-1. They would banking on home support to get them the win here, but Israel would come into this game with enough confidence to carry them through. Israel’s consecutive home wins over Scotland and Albania has placed them at the top of this group and they come into this game in fine form. Apart from beating the other two teams in this group, they recorded a 7-0 win over Guatemala in a recent friendly game and they would feel they can cause problems for the Scots in this game.
