Atletico Madrid vs Getafe: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Atletico Madrid will look to make it three consecutive La Liga wins when they host struggling Getafe on Saturday evening. The hosts come into this tie on the back of back-to-back wins ‘to nil’ against Valladolid (3-0) and Osasuna (1-0), taking their points tally for the season to 34. Having been eliminated from all cup competitions this season, they will look to concentrate all their efforts on securing a top-four finish and perhaps joining the title race. Meanwhile, Getafe remain rooted in the relegation zone after another poor showing in the league that saw them lose 1-0 to Real Betis. Read more: Wolves vs Liverpool: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction The loss was their fourth consecutive loss and made it back-to-back outings without a goal for the visitors, who have scored jusgb16 goals in the league this term–the fourth fewest goals scored in La Liga. Head coach Quique Sánchez Flores has been backed to secure Getafe’s survival in his third stint at the club. But the Spaniard must sort out his side’s defending to achieve that, with Getafe keeping only one clean sheet in their last six league games. This game will likely feature Under 2.5 Goals. Borussia Dortmund vs Freiburg: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Borussia Dortmund will look to continue their good form when they welcome Freiburg to Signal Iduna Park on Saturday afternoon. The Black and Yellow returned from their winter break in good shape, recording consecutive wins to put themselves back in the title race. A 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen cut the gap between them and Bayern Munich to three points, and they will hope to level that gap at least for one day, as Bayern don’t play until after 24 hours. Returning to Signal Iduna Park should instil confidence among the Dortmund players, too, given that they have lost just once at home in all competitions this season (W7, D3). Read more: Paris Saint-Germain vs Toulouse: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction Freiburg are level on points with Dortmund and will also want to climb closer to the top of the table with a win. However, the visitors possess a dreadful head-to-head record on Dortmund’s territory, winning just once in the last 22 meetings (D3, L18). Christian Streich’s men have also struggled on the road, with just one win in their last six Bundesliga away games (D2, L3). They conceded 14 goals in those three defeats, so we can expect Over 2.5 Goals in this game.

Bernado Silva eager to leave Manchester City this summer

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has reportedly asked his club to allow him to leave this summer. The Portugal international has been the subject of speculation since last July and could have joined Barcelona last summer. But City were not interested in selling the player and held firm despite strong pressure from Barcelona. However, according to reports in Spain, the 28-year-old will ask to leave this summer and is prepared to listen to approaches from Barcelona or Real Madrid. Pep Guardiola loves the player and wants him to stay. But as seen with the loan departure of João Cancelo, Guardiola isn’t one who will keep a player against their wish. Should the player insist on leaving and the right offer comes, City will be open to selling. Should Silva leave, City will speed up their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. The Premier League giants are also interested in Leicester City’s James Madison, while a move for Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell has also been mooted as a cover for Cancelo.

Manchester United want to sign Federico Valverde in the summer

Manchester United reportedly want to sign Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde this summer. According to reports in South America, the Red Devils will make a fresh bid for the Uruguayan in the summer after failing to sign him in the January transfer window. Manchester United lost influential midfielder Christian Eriksen to a three-month injury just before the winter window closed. To cover for the Danish international, they approached Real Madrid for the 24-year-old, but Los Blancos were uninterested in parting ways with the player, who is a vital part of the team.  Read more: PSG blame Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech’s failed loan deal However, according to El Nacional, Erik ten Hag’s side will return for Valverde in the summer,  with an €80m bid on the table for the player. United and Real Madrid did business last summer when the Spanish side sold long-time midfielder Casemiro to them. But it appears that another deal is imminent this summer if El Nacional is to be believed.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Toulouse: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Paris Saint-Germain will continue their defence of the Ligue 1 title this Saturday when they welcome mid-table Toulouse to Parc des Princes. The hosts ended a run of two league games without a win (D1, L1) with a 3-1 away win over Montpellier on Wednesday. The win means they come into this round of games sitting five points ahead of Marseille, their closest challengers. Christophe Galtier’s men should feel confident of getting a win here against a Toulouse side they trounced 3-0 back in August. Also, having not tasted league defeat at home in 32 games (W27, D5), they can be backed to record a win here. So, a Sure Home Win Prediction will be the best bet in this game. Read more: Juventus vs Lazio: Match Preview and Expert Football Predictions  Despite this, Toulouse are no pushovers themselves. The visitors are currently on their longest unbeaten start to a calendar year in Ligue 1 action for over a decade (W4, D1). Also, their 4-1 over Troyes in midweek in the Coup De France means they are unbeaten in seven games since the turn of the year (W6, D1). But it seems unlikely Toulouse will go a step further in their unbeaten run as they have lost their last two visits to the current top-three Ligue 1 teams by a 3+ goal margin. They’ve also lost by four clear goals in two of their previous three trips to the Parc des Princes, potentially providing a psychological block.

Everton vs Arsenal: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Everton will look to begin life under Sean Dyche with a win when they welcome Premier League leaders Arsenal to Goodison Park on Saturday. The Toffees sacked former boss Frank Lampard last week after a run of poor results that has left them without a win in their last eight league matches (D2, L6) – their longest winless Premier League (PL) run since October 1994. As a result, the hosts currently sit inside the relegation zone but just two points below the safety line. They will come into this game desperate to get off a flying start under their new manager, who is famous for his strict standards. Read more: Chelsea vs Fulham: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction Arsenal will hope to keep their unbeaten run in the Premier League for another game when they visit Merseyside on Saturday. The Gunners have not tasted defeat in the league in 13 games (W11, D2) and are currently leading the title race by five points, having played a game less than closest challengers Manchester City. However, they did lose 1-0 away to Pep Guardiola’s side in the FA Cup last weekend. But given that Mikel Arteta’s side have won each of their last three Premier League away games – which included victory in the North London Derby – and did so with a margin of 2+ goals in each, they will fancy their chances of recording a win with Over 2.5 Goals in this game.

PSG blame Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech’s failed loan deal

Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has blamed Chelsea for his side’s failure to sign Hakim Ziyech on loan on the last day of the January transfer window. The French giants moved to sign Ziyech from Chelsea but failed at the last minute due to paperwork issues. However, the PSG coach has absolved his side of blame in the failed move, maintaining that the ‘responsibility’ did not lie with his side as they have a ‘quality workforce’.  Read more: Thiago Silva disappointed about Jorginho’s decision to join Arsenal Speaking about the situation after the French side’s win over Montpellier on Wednesday, Galtier said: “From the moment we released Pablo Sarabia to join England, we targeted players who could play on the right side. For various reasons, which I won’t go into, we couldn’t make the player we had targeted. “I have a quality workforce. The young people will have their say. Obviously, in a very busy schedule, you have to be careful with injuries and fatigue, but there you go. I’m satisfied with the squad I have.  “Unfortunately, we could have reinforced it following the departure of Pablo, but we couldn’t. I believe that the responsibility does not lie with our club. That’s how we move forward. That’s how it is. That’s life; we look ahead.  “We wanted to replace Sarabia with a player able to evolve on the right side. Unfortunately, Ziyech was not done, and these are the hazards of the transfer window. It must be accepted. The responsibility does not lie with PSG, as I know.”

Arsenal targeting summer move for Chelsea’s Hudson-Odoi

Premier League leaders, Arsenal are reportedly tracking the progress of Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi. The 22-year-old winger left Stamford Bridge on loan last season, but could be finally sold this summer according to the Guardian. Chelsea spent heavily in the January transfer window to recruit players, with the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez the highlihght of the winter window. Those additions has made space in wide areas very limited and Hudson-Odoi could be the first casualty of the shake-up.  Arsenal are lookingto pounce on that and sign the Englishman once his loan with Bayer Leverkusen comes to an end in the summer.  Read more: Nottingham Forest target free agent Andre Ayew However, the Gunners are strong on the wings position at the moment, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and new-signing Leandro Trossard currently the first choice in the wings.  But should an opportunity to sign Hudson-Odoi for cheap arise, Arsenal might be interested. Mikel Arteta’s side recently signed Jorginho from Chelsea. Since his loan move to Leverkusen, Hudson-Odoi is yet to net a league goal for the German side, creating values of just 0.1 Expected Goals and 0.8 Expected Assists. But he has netted just once in the Champions League and created a 12 chances in eleven league games

Athletic Bilbao vs Cadiz: Match Preview and Expert Football Predictions

Athletic Bilbao will look to win their first league game of 2023 when they welcome Cadiz to Estadio San Mamés on Friday. The hosts have endured a miserable run in La Liga since after the World Cup, with no league wins since then (D2, L3). Their most recent outing, a 1-0 loss to Celta Vigo, confirmed their longest winless run of this La Liga campaign.  After the game, manager Ernesto Valverde said his sides’ greatest problem is “generating a lot but achieving little”, as they converted 51% of possession into zero shots on target in their most recent outing. They have a chance to bounce back here, given that Cadiz have conceded the joint-second most goals in the league this season (29 goals). Read more: Real Betis vs Barcelona: Match Preview and Expert Football Predictions  However, the visitors come into this tie in good form, having lost just one of their last five league games (W2, D2). Their last outing was a 2-0 win over Mallorca, so they will be confident of getting a good result here. But given that all but one of the last ten La Liga fixtures involving either club produced fewer than 2.5 total goals, the Accurate Football prediction for this game is Under 2.5 Goals.

Chelsea vs Fulham: Match Preview and Expert Football Predictions

After outspending every European team in the January transfer window, Chelsea will focus on achieving success in the Premier League when they host London rivals Fulham this Friday. Last month, the Blues reportedly spent £288 million on transfers to boost a struggling squad. Yet, they come into this tie with just two wins from seven matches since the restart (D2, L3), leaving them ten points adrift of the Premier League top four. However, they are unbeaten in their last two games (W1, D1) and will look to make it three games without defeat for the first time since Graham Potter’s first month at the club. Read more: Real Madrid vs Valencia: Match Preview and Expert Football Predictions  However, the former Brighton manager has to down some demons to win this game as he has never beaten Fulham in four personal H2H meetings (D2, L2). He has also already lost twice to Fulham manager Marco Silva this term (once when he was still Brighton manager).  Silva has overseen a remarkable return to the Premier League for Fulham, who currently sit closer to the top four than Chelsea. The Cottagers are sitting in seventh position, just five points behind fifth-placed Tottenham. However, they have failed to win any of their last three competitive games (D1, L2) and come into this tie without a clean sheet in their last four games.  Given those numbers, football prediction will suggest this game could be a tough affair for both sides. But we expect at least over 1.5 goals scored by both clubs.
