Inter Milan vs Fiorentina: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Serie A returns this weekend with Inter Milan playing host to Fiorentina for the 28th Round of the 2022/23 season.  The San Siro side are looking to get back to form after a return of just three points in four games has put the job of head coach Simon Inzaghi in perspective (W1, D3). The most recent of those losses was a 1-0 defeat against fierce rivals Juventus, which saw Inter Milan lose twice to the Bianconeri without scoring in a single Serie A season for the first time since 1976/77. The defeat was also the ninth defeat for the Nerazzurri in the season’s Serie A– a fate they have suffered after the opening 27 rounds just once this century. Read more: Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Having survived the international break, Inzaghi will probably end the season at Inter. But with his side just three points ahead of fifth-placed AS Roma in the top-four race, the former Lazio manager will know that he cannot afford his side to drop further points.  However, Inter will fancy their chances against a Fiorentina side they beat in five of the last six H2Hs (D1). Yet, the visitors were the most in-form team in Italy just before the international break, with their 13 points from five games (W4, D1) only matched by Lazio. It even gets better when you factor in other competitions for Fiorentina, who will travel to Milan on a seven-game winning run in all competitions. That run has seen them qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League quarter-finals and move back to the top half of the standings for the first time since mid-January.  Consequently, they started this round only four points away from seventh spot (and the potential European place that may come with it). That aforementioned run also consisted of consecutive clean-sheet away league victories which saw Fiorentina net five goals combined in those appearances.  That offers us a glimpse that this game could go either way. However, a potential ‘over 2.5 goals’ game is more likely.  Click here to get correct score tips daily.

Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Bayern Munich will look to begin life under Thomas Tuchel with a bang when they welcome fierce rivals Borussia Dortmund to the Allianz Arena this Saturday for the second Bundesliga Der Klassiker of the season. Tuchel replaced Julian Nagelsmann, who was sacked last week after a return of five wins from ten Bundesliga games in 2023. The poor return of points has seen the Bavarians relinquish the top spot to Dortmund, with their most recent 2-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen placing them one point behind the visitors. Read more: Chelsea vs Aston Villa: Preview and Expert Football Prediction After his unveiling, Tuchel proclaimed that he wants to win “all the titles”, as Bayern are still in the battle to lift a Bundesliga, Champions League and DfB Pokal treble. But any hopes of doing so will be hinged mainly on how he performs in this first game against his former club.  Bayern’s current 52-point haul is their worst return at this stage of a Bundesliga season since they last failed to lift the famous trophy in 2011/12. Should they lose here, they will end the weekend four points behind Dortmund.  While Bayern wilted in 2023, the visitors have enjoyed a remarkable run of form in 2023. They remain unbeaten in the league this year, with their only blip coming in a 2-2 draw against fierce local rivals Schalke 04.  Having won eleven of their last 13 games in all competitions, they will bear no fear on this trip to Munich. A 6-1 win over Cologne just before the international break should also be give them much-needed inspiration. However, they’ve lost their last eight Bundesliga trips to the Allianz Arena. Yet, Dortmund boss Edin Terzić has been boosted by the return of key players such as Julian Brandt and Youssoufa Moukoko from injury and will “travel to Munich with confidence and a full squad”. Meanwhile, an incredible 346 goals have been scored across the 107 Bundesliga Der Klassikers; that’s 3.28 goals per match on average. So an ‘over 2.5 goals’ prediction will be a good bet.  Click here to get correct score tips daily.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

After two weeks without football, Chelsea return to Premier League action this Saturday as they welcome Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge. The Blues will be desperate to return to winning ways after a disappointing 2-2 draw with a struggling Everton side marked their last game before the international break. The result ended a run of three consecutive wins for Graham Potter’s side, who are still battling to play Champions League football next season.  But with each loss, the Blues find themselves further away from their quest. They currently sit in tenth position, eleven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, having played a game less.  Read more: Manchester City vs Liverpool: Preview and Expert Football Prediction However, the injury-ravaged London side could now be without as many as five regular starters for the visit of Aston Villa, a side Chelsea have beaten in nine of the last eleven Premier League H2Hs (D1, L1). Potter’s side would dearly love to extend that run with another victory, but having won just three of their last nine PL home games (D3, L3), Stamford Bridge isn’t the impenetrable fortress it once was. It certainly isn’t the premier spot if entertainment is what fans want, with the stadium producing the fewest total goals (26) of any PL ground this season.  Meanwhile, Villa will come to Stamford Bridge confidently after going undefeated in their last four PL games (W3, D1). If Chelsea can still dream of a top-four finish, the visitors have every right to do the same, given that they are sitting just behind their hosts in eleventh position, with the same number of points on the table. However, Unai Emery will be more concerned about finishing strong, as his initial objective was avoiding relegation. But a win here will take them into the top half of the table and possibly shift their target for the season to breaking into the top seven and securing a place in Europe next season.  However, considering they’ve lost on six of their last seven PL visits to Stamford Bridge, they may be playing catch-up again come the close of play on Saturday. Meanwhile, Stamford Bridge is the only ground not to have seen a goal scored in the opening 15 minutes of a PL game this season. So we can expect a game of few goals. The best bet, therefore, will be under 2.5 goals.  Click here to get expert football predictions.

Manchester City vs Liverpool: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Premier League returns this weekend with the biggest clash of the weekend, featuring Manchester City and Liverpool. Both teams will renew their rivalry this Saturday at the Etihad for the 29th Round game of the 2022/23 Premier League season.  Unlike in recent seasons, where games between the pair were title deciders, this weekend’s fixture features two teams on the opposite side of the form table. While Manchester City are flying courtesy of a run of six consecutive wins and ten games without defeat (W8, D2), Liverpool are winless and scoreless in two games (L2). Read more: Marseille vs Montpellier: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Pep Guardiola’s men kept their quest for their seventh Premier League crown alive just before the break with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in their last league outing. The win over the Eagles was followed by two massive Champions League and FA Cup wins, which came by a combined 13-0 scoreline.  One individual, Erling Haaland, scored eight out of those 13 goals. However, the Norwegian is unlikely to feature in this game, giving Liverpool a significant boost. But having fallen eight points behind Arsenal in the title race, City need little reminding that this game is a must-win if they want to keep their quest for the title alive. Meanwhile, not only does the likley absence of Haaland help Liverpool, the return of attacker Luis Diaz after five months of injury will also be a morale boost for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who will be desperate to get back to winning ways and rekindling their fading top-four hopes.  The Reds went into the international break in a dour mood, losing their last two games against relegation-threatened Bournemouth and Real Madrid before the hiatus.  With nothing left to play for than the top-four this season, Klopp will hope that his boys will give their very best in this game against a team they have beaten just once in their last 13 PL matches at the Etihad (D5, L7). Meanwhile, Man City’s run of eight consecutive wins at home ahead of this game puts them as clear favourites for a win here. Click here to get expert football predictions.

Marseille vs Montpellier: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

After a two-week hiatus, the French Ligue 1 returns this weekend with second-placed Marseille taking on Montpellier at the Stade Vélodrome on Friday. Marseille were building momentum before the international break with a run of three games without defeat (W2, D1), including wins over top-four hopefuls Reims and Rennes.  The hosts are the closest challengers of perennial winners Paris Saint-Germain, having secured 18 wins this season (D5, L5), with their points tally just seven behind Lionel Messi’s side. A win here would close the gap on leaders PSG to four points as the season nears its climax.  Read more: Mallorca vs Osasuna: Preview and Expert Football Prediction They will fancy their chances of getting a result here after ending Reims’ remarkable unbeaten run with a 2-1 win last time. But if they’re to manage that and apply some pressure on PSG, they’ll also have to end their four-match winless run in home league action (D2, L2), including most recently squandering a 2-0 lead at the 85th-minute mark to draw 2-2 with Strasbourg.  But considering that Les Olympiens haven’t conceded more than once in a home H2H since December 2015 (W6, D3), they’ll expect to hold firm if they find themselves in a similar position again. Meanwhile, Montpellier come into this tie in formidable form as they are unbeaten in six league fixtures (W5, D1). Like Marseille, the visitors were building steam just before the international break. As a result, they were able to push themselves away from the relegation zone into the eleventh position, thanks to three straight league wins. The goal will now be for them to kick on from there and crack the top six places. However, they sit 13 points behind Lille in sixth position, with ten games to play. The possibility of a top-six finish looks slim unless they can continue to win and pick up their fourth consecutive win in this game. But given that they’ve only beaten one side currently sitting in the top half this term (D2, L9), it will be a significant result if they win here. However, that sole win did come away from home (2-0 v Lorient), and having secured four wins ‘to nil’ across their last six Ligue 1 road fixtures (L2), Montpellier will hope they can resume their campaign in a similar vein of form. Mallorca vs Osasuna: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

La Liga returns this weekend as top six hopefuls Osasuna will travel to Palma de Mallorca this Friday to face Real Mallorca in the 27th Round of the La Liga season. Real Mallorca are one of the eight teams dreaming of a place in the top seven of La Liga this season. The hosts have taken 32 points from their opening 26 games of the season, leaving them in eleventh position after 26 rounds of matches, nine points behind sixth-placed Villarreal. However, they could have been inside the top half, but not for a poor run of results just before the international break. Javier Aguirre went into the break on a run of four games without a win in La Liga (D1, L3). Aguirre’s job to turn the hosts’ poor run of form must start with fixing a leaky defence that has not kept a clean sheet in their last consecutive La Liga games (W1, D1, L4). Read more: Scotland vs Spain: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  They also have to fix their goalscoring, with Mallorca the joint-lowest-scoring side in the top eleven of La Liga with 22 goals. The other team with 22 goals in the top eleven is Osasuna, who come into this tie without a goal in their last three games. Like their hosts, the visitors went into the international break poorly, having lost two of their last three La Liga games (D1). However, Jagoba Arrasate admitted after their last outing that “we have to disconnect, recharge our batteries, clear our minds and work to return to being.  Having enjoyed two weeks of uninterrupted break and with most of his stars not called up for their national teams, Arrasate will hope that his well-rested stars will come back refreshed to navigate this last lap of games successfully and to get the most from their gruelling run of three games in nine days, including a cut-throat Copa del Rey semi-final tie with Athletic Bilbao.Click here to get the football best predictions today.

Scotland vs Spain: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Scotland and Spain will square at Hampden Park this Tuesday for the second leg of the 2024 European Championship qualifiers. The hosts began their quest for a place in Germany next year with a positive result, beating FIFA’s #110-ranked side Cyprus 3-0, courtesy of two late goals from Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay. The win extended their unbeaten run in competitive games to five games (W4, D1). They kept three clean sheets in those five games and failed to score in only one game. So they will fancy their chances in this game in front of their supporters. Read more: Preview and Expert Football Prediction A seven-match winning run in major tournament qualification matches (excluding play-offs) for Steve Clark’s men also shows they can rub shoulders with the bigger teams. Nevertheless, Spain will provide a far sterner test for them, with three-time European champions and #10 ranked looking to make it two wins in two qualifier games. La Roja began life under new manager Luis de la Fuente with a 3-0 win over Norway in their first game.  So they will travel to Glasgow looking for a win that will give them total control of Group A, ahead of Scotland. They will feel confident about getting a win, given their record in head-to-head games, as they are unbeaten in their last five games against the Scots (W3, D2). Also, they have lost just once in their last  18 away Euro qualifiers (W14, D3), so they will fancy their chances against a nation that is ranked 37 placed below them on the FIFA rankings. Ireland vs France: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The Republic of Ireland will begin their quest for a place in the 2024 European Championship with a visit from World Cup finalists France this Monday. The hosts are yet to kick off their Euro qualifiers but had a great outing last time when they beat Latvia 3-2 in an international friendly. Goals from Callum O’Dowd, Chiedozie Ogbene and 18-year-old Evan Ferguson secured the win for Stephen Kenny’s young side–their second win in a row. Read more: England vs Ukraine: Preview and Expert Football Prediction The Boys in Green now return to Aviva Stadium, where they beat Latvia, looking for another massive win in front of an expectant fans base. However, they haven’t beaten France in any game since October 1981, so this will be a tough challenge. Les Bleus began their European Championship qualifiers with a massive 4-0 win over the Netherlands, so they are easily the favourites here.  Didier Deschamps’ side are supposedly on a rebuilding journey, but they didn’t look like a team missing their veterans when they dispatched the Dutch. A brace from newly-appointed captain Kylian Mbappe, which came after Antoine Greizmann and Dayot Upamecano had given France a 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes, ensured the World Cup finalists made a positive return to competitive action after their tragic end to the World Cup. Another win will see them set the right pace for the rest of the qualifiers. However, the visitors haven’t won any of their last three matches as the away side (D2, L1), while each of their last four such games produced exactly two goals. So they will have to tread carefully here and not become too confident. Click here to get the best prediction for this game.

France vs Netherlands: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

France and Netherlands will look to get their 2024 European Championship qualifiers with a bang when they meet at Stade de France on Friday. Both sides are looking to dust themselves back up after a poor end to their World Cup when they face each other. France were among the favourites to lift the World Cup in Qatar but failed at the last hurdle to Argentina, losing on penalties after a 3-3 draw in extra time. Read more: All-Star: Arsenal returns to a different MLS seven years later Their rebuild has started, with key players like Raphael Varane and Hugo Lloris hanging up their boots. There’s also a new captain in town, with Kylian Mbappe now given the national team armband following Lloris’ retirement. Head coach Didier Deschamps has surged the shuffle in the FA, which has seen French football federation president Nöel le Graet resign. The World Cup winner will be desperate to begin this new era with a win here over fellow Group B favourite, the Netherlands.  History places Les Bleus as the favourites for a win here, as the hosts have five wins across the previous six H2Hs against the Netherlands (L1). However, the visitors could struggle to win here and stop France from extending their current nine-game unbeaten run on home soil in Euro qualifiers (W7, D2). Like their hosts, the Oranje also saw their World Cup journey ended by Argentina in the quarter-finals. However, the Netherlands are also rebuilding, with new coach Ronald Koeman taking over the reins after Louis van Gaal resigned after the World Cup.  The former Barcelona boss has experience in this job, having been in charge of the Dutch national team before. But he will hope to hit the ground running and extend a decent run that has seen them go unbeaten in their last 20 competitive games (W14, D6-90 minutes only). Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Bayern Munich will continue their quest for an eleventh consecutive Bundesliga title this Sunday with a visit to BayArena, where they face Bayer Leverkusen. Fresh from booking their place in the quarter-finals round of the Europa League, the hosts will host Bayern looking to keep up the pace in their race for the top six. The hosts were not expected to compete for a place in the top six this season after they recorded their worst-ever start to a top-flight season. But an uptick in form since Xabi Alonso’s appointment as manager and recent back-to-back league victories have reignited their chase for the top-six, although they’re still six points adrift ahead of this round. Read more: PSG vs Rennes: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Their 2-0 win over Ferencváros on Thursday was Leverkusen’s fifth win in their last six competitive games (D1), so they will be confident of getting a good result in this game. But maturity will be necessary here if Alonso’s side are to break a six-game winless H2H streak in the Bundesliga (D1, L5), which included a 4-0 thrashing in this season’s reverse fixture. That win in the reverse fixture forms part of Bayern’s historical dominance of this fixture, in which they boast a daunting overall H2H advantage (W59, D18, L19).  However, the Bundesliga champions are under pressure here, with Borussia Dortmund trailing by two points heading into the weekend.  Julian Nagelsmann’s men will be desperate to enter the international break with their slender lead firmly secure. They held their nerve last time out to win, with a rollercoaster 5-3 victory over Augsburg, their fourth win in a row. Having scored their 71st league goal in that Augsburg win, Bayern will be confident of getting a win here. The Bavarians are often similarly ruthless on their travels, with the division’s best away side having lost just once on the road in all competitions since September (W10, D2). Therefore, all signs appear to point to that run continuing here.  Click here to get 100 Percent winning tips.
