Orlando City defeated the Philadephia Union in their last league game, a win that makes it three victories on the bounce for the Lions and a major upturn in form having previously gone 3 games winless. The Lions are now 6th on the Eastern Conference league table and they would be looking to continue their good run of form here.
Orlando City were second from bottom in the MLS table last season and fresh fears were raised when they failed to beat DC United, the only team they finished ahead of last season in their opening game of the season, losing their next two games against Minnesota United and New York City didn’t help to calm nerves either, but their last three wins have changed moods among fans and their players.
They were 14 goals scored in their last three wins against New York RB (4-3), Portland Timbers (3-2), and Philadephia Union (2-0). Last season Orlando City’s first clean sheet of the season also came against the Philadephia Union, what a coincidence that is.
Unlike their host, San Jose Earthquakes started the season brightly before fading away into a run of bad form. The Earthquakes won their first game of the season 3-2 with Dutch attacker, Danny Hoesen scoring twice against Minnesota United to give them their only win of the season so far.
They have lost out to Sporting Kansas City (3-4), New York City (1-2), before picking up two draws against Philadephia Union (1-1) and Houston Dynamos (2-2). The Earthquakes have been involved in interesting clashes this season with four of their five league games this season seeing over 2.5 goals scored and both teams scoring in 100% of those matches.
The Earthquakes have scored in all of their matches this season while conceding in all also. Conversely, Orlando City have scored in all but one of their six league games this season while their defence have also kept out their opponents in just one game this season.
Chelsea have had a predictably bad season despite winning the Premier League last season. Axing Diego Costa and bringing in an inexperienced and goal-shy Alvaro Morata was always going to see them struggle for the cutting edge they need in attack for a successful season. They are currently outside the top four and their hopes of making it back there is fading by the week.
Antonio Conte would most likely not remain as Blues manager beyond this season, however, he would want to end the season on a high by winning the FA Cup and this semifinal offers him the chance to show that he can do just that.
Chelsea defeated an in-form Burnley 2-1 in midweek and that followed a 3-2 come back win over Southampton in their previous game, they should head into this game with high confidence to send them to the finals.
Southampton collected a point from their last league game against Leicester City on Thursday.
While that win helps them end a three-game losing streak, they are still 4 points short of surviving the drop, which should be a priority for them at this stage of the season.
The Saints usually a solid team at the back, but the reverse has been the case this season as they have conceded at almost every attack they face.
Infact, they have conceded at least 3 goals in 4 of their last 6 games and that could be the case here again.
Chelsea are also struggling to shut teams out as they have now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last ten games.

The ongoing problems between Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho could see the French midfielder leave Old Trafford in the next transfer window except if the Portuguese manager leaves or clubs fail to meet Manchester United’s asking price.
The French midfielder has come under serious scrutiny from his manager this season as he continues to struggle for form especially since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez and that has affected their relationship.
Young Scot midfielder, Tom McTominay has been preferred the former Juventus star by Mourinho this season and although Pogba has been recalled to the line and starred in their 3-2 win over Manchester City, he looks set to leave Old Trafford.
According to Sun Sport, Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola has been looking for a new club for his client and recently offered him to French moneybags PSG. The French champions are looking to win the UEFA Champions League sooner rather than later and they are prepared to spend on big-name stars to achieve that goal.
However, any deal that would take Pogba out of United would cost the buying club at least 120 million pounds as the Red Devils would want to recoup as much of their 89 million pounds investment as possible.
Real Madrid are also interested in Pogba and Los Merengues could sell the less commercially appealing Casimero and bring in Paul Pogba.
This game is expected to test the security of Istanbul as this two Turkish heavyweights clash in the second leg of the Turkish Cup semifinal.
The first leg ended in a drama-packed 2-2 draw at the Vodafone Park.
Premier League flops Alvaro Negredo and Roberto Soldado scored the first goal for their respective teams after the latter cancelled the former’s strike after just three minutes of them taking the lead. Fenerbahce were reduced to ten men a minute before the break as Alper Potuk was given his marching orders for a second yellow card, they would eventually end the game with 9 men.
Surprisingly with ten men on the field, Fenerbahce took the lead but Anderson Talisca came up with the equalizer for the host in that game and Fenerbahce would be feeling that they can complete the job here on their home turf.
These two sides come into this game on form as they have both won their last three successive games, however, Istanbul derbies have shown in the past that form of the two sides really does not count here.
Fenerbahce have lost only two games at home all season and that should tell Besiktas that they have a mountain to climb in terms of eliminating their host in this game.
Burnley’s incredible season continued with an impressive 2-1 win over Leicester City in their last league game.
That win made it 5 wins on the bounce for them after they had been billed as one of the favourites to get relegated at the beginning of the season. They are now unbeaten since the 10th of January and they look very good to even finish the season inside a European place.
The Clarets have an 8 points lead over 8th placed Leicester City and they are just two points behind Arsenal who are 6th even if they maintain the 7th position they would be playing in the Europa League except if Southampton wins the FA Cup, which is very unlikely. They won the reverse fixture 3-2 at Stamford in their first match of the season and they would be feeling they can get another win here.
Chelsea have had an underwhelming season and if they lose here, they would surely be out of contention for next season’s Champions League. The Blues survived a major scare in their last league game as they went 2-0 down to relegation-threatened Southampton.
They were lucky to have Olivier Giroud as the French man came off the bench to score twice and helped them win the game 3-2.

Schalke head into this game looking to get into their first final since 2011.
They couldn’t have come into this game from a better position than being second on the Bundesliga table and from the back of an impressive 2-0 win over local rivals, Borussia Dortmund.
They now look set to compete in next season’s Champions League, but winning the DFB Pokal would be a fitting end to an impressive season for them.
Bastian Oczipka and Max Meyer were rested for Schalke game against Dortmund at the weekend, but they are both expected to start in this game.
The last week has been one of its kind for Frankfurt. They were unhappy with Bayern Munich’s announcement that their manager, Niko Kovac would be their next manager at the end of this season. That announcement was followed by a 4-1 loss to their fellow top-four competitor Bayer Leverkusen. The good news from that game was that Mexican winger Marco Fabian marked his return from a long time out with a goal in that game, he should keep his place in the line up for this match. top scorer, Luka Jovic should also be recalled here.
