Loris Karius to Join Newcastle United

Former Liverpool flop Loris Karius is set to join Newcastle United and he could be on their bench in a game this weekend. The German is famous for his errors allowing Real Madrid to beat Liverpool 3-1 in the 2018 Champions League final. His career has gone downhill since then and he was released by the Reds at the end of last season after spending most of the succeeding years out of the club on loan. He has been unattached, but Newcastle United need a new goalie after Karl Darlow suffered an injury in training. Matchplug understands they have spoken to Karius and he is set to join them on a short-term deal until the January transfer window roepens. He would become their temporary second choice behind the very impressive Nick Pope who joined them from Burnley this season. Karius has been very unfortunate in his career, with the performance in that final defining it. But he still just 29 and could get it back on track.

Matched Betting – A Beginner’s Guide

Do you want to know more on no risk betting? Our article on Matched Betting – A Beginner’sGuide can help.Matched betting is a low risk form of betting made on sporting events, used to make guaranteedprofits. Also known as ‘bonus hunting’ or ‘no-risk betting’, this betting strategy lets you use freebets and other types of promotions, to get guaranteed profits by having all the outcomes of amatch or event covered. When employed correctly, Matched Betting can make you profits from free bets and otherincentives provided by bookmakers. It is considered to be risk-free, since it is based on well-calculated mathematical equations, rather than on chance. In this guide, we explain extensively what matched betting is, how it works, and everything elseto know. What is Matched Betting?Matched Betting is when you cover all the outcomes of an event to qualify for free bets andbonuses for an amount that is next to nothing. After gaining a free bet, you repeat this process toget a fixed profit. Identifying a Matched BetA matched bet occurs when you back two contrasting bets to minimize your risk. Here is anexample below:● Placing a BACK – you bet FOR a sports result at a betting company.● Placing LAY – you are betting AGAINST a sports result at a betting exchange likeBetFair. Lay means that you are betting against an eventuality by accepting stakes on itlike a bookmaker. The two bets you stake will cancel each other out, causing you to break even. There is no profitor loss, but since you are gambling to make profit, you should mix Matched Bet with a Free Betoffered by a bookie.Back BetA back bet is the most traditional betting form, when you back a bet, you are saying “I predictthis will win”. If the selection you made wins, then you also win your bet and the profit that comes with it aswell.Lay BetA Lay bet is when you bet against an outcome in a match. If the team you wager on doesn’t winthe match, then you automatically win your lay bet. Similarly, if the result ends in a draw, thenyour lay bet also wins because the team still didn’t win the match. How Does Matched Betting Work?Matched Betting uses lay bets to cancel out any risks posed by a back bet. To remove all risks, you back and lay against the same result. You won’t lose your bet because you have coveredevery outcome. You can make profits from this system using free bets offered by bookmakers and otherpromotions, but this guide covers free bets only because it is simpler that way.In matched betting, your first bet is a “qualifying bet”, this is what qualifies you to earn a freebet. Your qualifying bet won’t earn you any profits and you’ll likely lose money in it.When you receive your free bet from a bookie, use the back and lay method to make profit. Sinceyou are now playing with another bettor’s money for half of the bets, you keep the winnings.Doing the above, removes all risks and assures you an easy payout, no matter the result of anysporting event you wager on. Furthermore, matched betting constantly offers you ways to earnfree bets that will form the basis of your betting income. Finally, to understand matched betting you need to also understand lay commission and liability.Lay CommissionLay bets require a little percentage of your winnings as commission. This commission is howbetting exchange platforms make their profits and how bookmakers make their own profits bygiving you unfair odds.Note, betting exchanges offer more profit return on your bets often, even with you paying acommission.Liability Liability is the amount you stand to lose on a lay bet. For instance if you placed a £25 bet with abookie at odds of 3.0 (2/1), you stand to win £50 profit. The bookie’s liability here is £50. Whenyou lay bets, you are the bookmaker. Note, you won’t technically lose this money when you usethe back and lay technique. How To Do A Matched BettingMatched betting at first looks impossible and difficult, but it is something you can grasp easilythrough practice. We used the scenario below to explain how to do a matched betting:● A known bookmaker is offering you a £25 free bet when you bet £25 of your ownmoney.● You sign up and deposit £25.● Next, you use an oddsmatcher to find a good event to bet on. Choose a bookmaker andthe minimum odds you want to bet on in the oddsmatcher filters, to get a good range ofbet choices. If the oddsmatcher says that Manchester City have back odds of 2.0 to beat Tottenham, the layodds for the result are 2.02.You place your £25 bet on Manchester City, then go to Betfair Exchange and LAY ManchesterCity not to win at lay odds of 2.02.So, how do you know how much to lay? Simply use a lay betting calculator. In the calculator youinput the information you already have to calculate your lay stake:● £25 stake● 2.0 back odds● 2.02 lay odds● 5% lay commission on Betfair ExchangeWhen you put all of this in, the calculator will tell you what your lay stake should be. If you laidfor example – £25.38, that’s what your lay stake is.The calculator also shows your liability will be. In this case, at odds of 2.02 with a stake of£25.38 your liability is £25.89. That is the amount you must have in your exchange balance toafford this qualifying bet you want to lay.You can expect two possible outcomes: ● Manchester City wins and you get a £25 profit from the bookmaker and lose £25.89 onthe Betfair Exchange.● Or Manchester City draws or loses, and you lose £25 from the bookie, but gain £24.11profit on Betfair Exchange which is the lay stake, minus commission.● Either way your bet goes, you’ll lose 89 pence. This loss is known as a qualifying loss. What is a qualifying loss?A qualifying loss is the money you lose in a matched bet to unlock a free bet. In the example weexplained above, you lost 89 pence, but gained

Factors To Consider When Making A Sports Bet

“Are there any factors to consider when making a sports bet?”Sports betting is a popular form of recreation accepted and engaged in by millions of bettors whoplace their money on games occasionally. Thanks to this popularity it rapidly garnered, it is so easy for bettors like you to find anyinformation you require about making bets, bookmakers who are eager to take your wagers, andother resources you require for assistance. However, to answer your question, there are factors to consider when making a sports bet, andknowing what they are will help you make more informed decisions during your wager and alsoavoid certain slip ups other bettors make.10 Factors To Consider When Making A Sports Bet The Odds Choose A Bookmaker With Good Odds Examine The League’s Overall Statistics Current Form Record the Last Three Matches Head to Head Records Bet More on Leagues than Cup Tournaments Overall Team Quality Tournament and Schedule Injuries, Lineups and Motivation Monitor The OddsSports betting odds reflect what a sportsbook predicts will occur in a match. Bookmakers usuallyhave odds for the home team, draw, or away team. There are lots of things you can bet on in one match – total number of points or goals, correctscores, goal scorers, half-time leaders, second half leaders or proposition bets. But, no matterwhat you intend to wager on, always check the odds your sportsbook is giving you.If you feel like your bookmaker is shortchanging you, then you might want to use a predictionsite like MatchPlug for the best odds. Still, try finding valuable odds as bookmakers don’t alwaysprovide you with fair odds. Choose Bookmakers With Good OddsDifferent Bookmakers offer different odds, with slight differences. However, the odds for onebookmaker can be much better than what the others are offering you, which is why you shouldtake the time to research this as it can be worth it.Additionally, find betting sites that offer betting types of live games, especially for a footballgame. These bets can be on goals scored during halftime, first player to score, etc. Not everybookmaker will provide the odds that come with these prop betting types, so find one that will. Examine The League’s Overall StatisticsIn addition to being a factor to consider, this point is also one of the best football betting tips youwill receive. This is because taking time to analyze the numbers, trends, and statistics associatedwith your wagers, can make you a successful bettor. You also need to know information like how well your preferred team and players perform – howdid they do head-to-head against an opponent, last matches’ performance, how do they play onthe road versus at home.A betting site that has insightful statistics on football or even other sports is priceless. Current FormThere are 3 types of teams and players to watch for in every sports competition:● The team’s excellent form that led the divisions in the NBA, NFL or the NHL.● The team whose form is bad, fighting relegation and tournament knockouts.● The inconsistent team that wins one match then experiences a losing streak.Keeping this in mind, you can easily know where a team or player falls short in terms of form. You can find this out by checking logs or the division and conference rankings for a MajorLeague Game. For international football, check the tables. The top teams are the ones in good form and the lastteams have bad form. Record The Recent Matches A team’s recent matches is a good way to gauge their performance in an upcoming game. This isbecause it helps you know which players are playing well and which are not. Similarly, agoalkeeper that lost many goals in previous matches might do the same in a future game. The same way, a player who has been scoring well during recent matches or has been dominantand assisting in goals would likely do the same for the next match. When a team always loses a match, some factors like injuries and slumps might contribute to it,but trends of recent matches can give an accurate report on how they are performing. If there are two teams consistently winning or losing, find out the contributing factors to theseperformances. Checking out both team’s recent matches lets you know how well they playedagainst other teams and how their opponents have been playing too. Head-to-Head RecordsHead-to-head records are another factor to consider when making a sports bet.For instance, if a team wins the home team in the previous ten matches, no matter thetournament, there is a chance they will beat them again. However, because this is not a solidguarantee on how a match will go, experts advise that if you are a beginning bettor, then youshould not pay too much attention to this factor. While a team may have lost to its opponent in the last 4 matches, some things may have changedin that time for the opposition, that puts them at a disadvantage and vulnerable to your team.Maybe they are fielding inexperienced players, or it is the finals and each team will perform at itslevel best.Head-to-head records gives you a faint idea of which team will be a game’s favorite, and helpsyou discover data about the average number of points or goals scored, top scorers or playingstyles. Also, note that if two teams usually score against each other in a match, you can expect a high-scoring game from them. Bet More on Leagues than Cup TournamentsWhile tournaments and leagues are favored by bettors, we suggest that you start betting more onleagues than on tournaments. This is because managers tend to pick their weaker players to compete in the tournaments insteadof on league play. But this does not include major football leagues like Champions League orother prominent knockout contests.League matches carry more importance than tournaments, which is why club managers won’twant to risk their best players who could get injured in what they see as lower priority games. This selection by managers is why you see weaker players playing in tournaments. Placing betson these matches makes it more difficult for you to find out which team may have a winningedge over the other team. Overall
