Roberto Firmino to end eight-year stay at Liverpool this summer

Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino is reportedly set to leave Anfield as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of this season. The Brazil international, a legend at the Merseyside club, joined from Hoffenheim for £29 million ($35m) in the summer of 2015. Firmino has made 353 appearances for the Reds in eight successful seasons, scoring 107 goals and providing 78 assists. He is currently the top-scoring Brazilian in the Premier League with 78 goals. Brentford and England forward Ivan Toney is reportedly set for a ‘lengthy’ playing ban after pleading guilty to multiple football betting charges. The 26-year-old striker has been slapped with 262 charges from the Football Association (FA) relating to gambling on the game – which date back to 2017. His case has been under review for some time by the FA, and he was rumoured to have missed the World Cup squad due to the matter. Rodrigo Bentancur ruled out for the rest of the season

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a massive blow in their quest for a top-four finish, with key midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur now ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery. Leicester City reportedly want to sign Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer to replace the outgoing Caglar Soyuncu.
