But Corriere dello Sport claims that Man United are looking to blow any rival suitors out of the water by tabling a bid that exceeds the release clause in Kim’s deal by offering £53million. The Red Devils have lost Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez to long-term injuries, so Luke Shaw has been deployed in central defence for United recently. Club captain Harry Maguire has also fallen out of favour at Old Trafford; therefore, there is a need for defensive reinforcements in the summer window.
