Cam Ward Poised to Go No. 1 as Titans Signal Their Intentions

Titans GM Mike Borgonzi confirmed Tuesday that the Titans will hold onto the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. As for who they’ll take, Borgonzi played coy, saying fans would have to wait until Thursday(though the likely selection is no secret)

“I got a chance to learn more about (the Titans) personally over the last couple of months, and I am excited to hopefully hear my name called first,” Cam Ward said Wednesday at an NFL PLAY 60 event near Lambeau Field. “They have a great owner, a great GM… they don’t get enough credit on paper for what they really are.”

Tennessee had a strong presence at Ward’s Miami pro day, and he’s already familiar with people within the organization. On Wednesday, he reunited with many of them and even shared a hug with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Ward praised the Titans’ offensive line and playmakers, particularly new No. 1 wideout Calvin Ridley. With the pieces in place, he sees the potential for success in Nashville.
