Ola Aina has signed a new contract with Nottingham Forest. This contract extends his stay at the club until 2028.
The Nigerian international joined Forest in July 2023 on a free transfer from Torino and quickly became a key player under manager Nuno Espirito Santo. He made 35 league appearances last season and led all players in Europe’s top five leagues for winning possession in the defensive third.
Aina said he was thrilled to commit his future to Forest:
“I’m over the moon. It’s always felt like home since I joined and I’m happy to be here.”
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis praised Aina’s work ethic and character, while Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson described him as a positive influence both on and off the pitch.
The 28-year-old had been attracting interest from other top clubs, including Liverpool, but has chosen to stay at the City Ground.
