When Sport Recife lost 4-0 to Atletico PR a couple of weeks back,it was concluded in several quarters that they are set to be relegated this season as that was a 14th defeat in 19 games, but they have since turned things around.

They come into this game a point above the relegation and with 4 games to go they would be desperate to keep this current run of form going in this game.

The home side are unbeaten in their last 5 games and they have won 3 of their last 4 home games, so confidence would be high in their ranks here.

Flamengo are still playing for the league title. They are currently 7 points behind leaders Palmeiras with just 4 more games left. While the title seems to  be almost beyond their reach, they should go into every game targeting a win.

They beat Santos 1-0 in their last game. It was a scrappy game, but you don’t need to win beautifully to win titles and that is a major message they are sending out there.
