Bayern Munich would make a move for Roberto Firmino if they lose Robert Lewandoski in the summer, according to Ian Wright.
Firmino has been in outstanding form for the Reds this season and he has already netted 23 goals in all competitions. The Brazilian has formed a deadly partnership with the duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and they have been regarded as the deadliest front three in Europe by some sections of the media.
Bayern Munich are hoping to hold on to Lewandoski who appears to be keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but should they lose the Polish attacker, Wright believes they would move for Firmino as his replacement.
Firmino currently has two years left on his Liverpool contract and he is expected to resume contract talks with the Reds at the end of the season. The Brazilian is also very happy at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp has urged the club to hurriedly tie him down to a new deal as it would be of benefit to both the player and the club.
Firmino is set to feature for Brazil at the FIFA World Cup later this year and if he shines, Liverpool could be in a tough position should they fail to get him to sign a new contract before the competition.
Manchester City attacker, Gabriel Jesus has opened the door for other teams to try and prise him away from the Cityzens by rejecting a new contract offer from the Premier League champions-elect.
Jesus has been one of Pep Guardiola’s trusted men since the start of the new season and he has been preferred to Sergio Aguero at times when the Catalan wanted to play with a lone striker. His performances have begun drawing the attention of Europe’s elite teams and the Cityzens want to tie him down until the summer of 2023.
However, Jesus who currently earns around £65,000 per week at the Etihad wants more money than he has been offered in the new deal.
According to Sun Sport, City are offering him £90,000-a-week until 2023, but he representatives believe his performances and current standing in world football deserves in excess of £100,000-a-week.
The report further claims that the Brazilian attacker has decided to abandon talks on a new contract until the end of the season as he wants to concentrate on helping the club on the field.
Manchester City fear that a good showing at the World Cup could see them struggle to keep him from the clutches of the top European sides.
Real Madrid would be signing a star from the Premier League at the end of this season, but who that particular player would be has been unclear till now.
Los Blancos have been linked with moves for David de Gea, Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard and more recently, Mohamed Salah. The latter has been in fine form for Liverpool this season and he currently tops the goal scorers chart in the Premier League.
Zinedine Zidane has even spoken highly of the Egyptian in the past, which has not helped to bring down the rumours that the Egyptian could become a Galactico next season.
However, Sun Sport reports that Real Madrid do not see Salah as a Galactico and they have abandon plans of signing him for $250 million next summer. The reports further claim that Los Blancos have instead turned their attention towards Eden Hazard.
Hazard has stalled on signing a new Chelsea deal and has just two years left on his current contract, he has, however, repeatedly spoke of his commitment to the Blues even claiming that he would remain committed should Antonio Conte be sacked.
Madrid would test Chelsea’s resolve not to sell in the summer with a huge bid and hope that Hazard would try to force the move.
