Arsenal will look to get back to winning ways when they face Aston Villa in the Premier League for this game. The Gunners have just been beaten 2-0 at home by Liverpool, but they will feel Liverpool is one of the most in-form clubs in the world now. Mikel Arteta’s side has done very well against lesser opponents, but can they beat Villa? They might not be playing against Liverpool, but they will face a former Liverpool star in hot form. Philippe Coutinho joined Steven Gerrard’s side at the start of this year and he has been lighting up the Premier League. The midfielder has 4 goals from 9 Premier League games and will be keen to improve on that tally when he visits Villa. Arsenal won the reverse of this fixture, but Villa had won the previous three matches between both clubs and would be fancying their chances of upsetting the odds in this game.

City will visit Palace hoping to keep the gap between them and Liverpool at the top of the league table at 6 points, before the Reds play their outstanding game. Leeds United’s new manager, Jesse Marsch will look to get off to a winning start when he takes his side to visit Leicester City for this crunch Premier League game. The American will quickly want to plug holes in a very leaky defence that conceded 20 goals in last month alone. Leeds’ defence has always been poor, but this time they just concede and rarely score, which forced them to sack Marcelo Bielsa. Leicester City is recovering from a bad form which nearly cost Brendan Rodgers his job and they will want to get their three points from Leeds. They have won their last two matches against Randers and Burnley. The return of Jamie Vardy to full fitness means they will have a strong squad for this game. While Leicester have three wins from their last five matches, Leeds has lost their last four matches in all competitions and conceded 10 goals in the last two. This stat means Vardy could take good advantage of the Whites and score as many goals as he could in this game. Matches between these two sides have been close, but Leeds are unbeaten in the last two head to heads.

Everton faces the toughest test of the Frank Lampard era when Manchester City comes to town for this fixture. The Toffees have been inconsistent since the former midfielder became their boss and they would face a City side that needs to be ruthless. Tottenham beat Pep Guardiola’s side in their last league game to blow the title race wide open and Lampard can help Liverpool close the gap at the top. He played for Chelsea and now manages Everton, so he is the wrong person to help Liverpool, but his team needs a positive result more than the Reds do. Everton has lost two and won two of their competitive matches under Lampard, but they have lost two of their last three matches in the league. Before losing to Tottenham, City were on a splendid run of form and Pep Guardiola’s side is a well-oiled machine that can easily return to form. They would play under some kind of pressure in this game, but Everton would need to be at their brilliant best to stop the defending champions from winning.

Liverpool will look to close the gap between them and Manchester City to just three points when they face Leeds in this rescheduled game. The Reds were at one stage 12 points behind City, but they have now closed the gap on the defending champions. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been brought back into the title race after Tottenham thrashed  City 2-3 at the weekend to blow the race open. Liverpool added  Luis Diaz to their attack in the January transfer window and they now have one of the strongest squads in England. The Colombian has not needed time to get used to playing for them and he would be keen to ensure keeps doing well when selected. Leeds are struggling in this campaign and would still spend most of it battling to remain in the Premier League. Marcelo Bielsa’s side heads into this game with no win from their last four games and three of them have been losses. They also have a poor record against Liverpool with no wins from their last five head to heads. The Whites have also lost four of those fixtures.

Liverpool will host Leicester City in this exciting Premier League game that brings Brendan Rodgers back to his old club. The Northern Irish man almost won the league with the Reds in the 2013/2014 season, but Klopp eventually did it in the 2019/2020 campaign. He has since won league titles in Scotland with Celtic and recently won the FA Cup with his current Foxes team. They have been eliminated from all the cup competitions and will now focus on a good run in the Premier League, but this game against Liverpool will be tough. The Reds had to deal with losing Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah to the AFCON, yet they have done very well in their absence. Jurgen Klopp’s men remain in every competition including the Carabao Cup where they have already reached the final. However, they want to win the league most especially and they are currently second on the table, behind Manchester City. The champions are above Liverpool with nine points, but they have played a game more and they know Klopp’s men can do whatever they can. Leicester is currently 11th on the league table and continues to struggle for consistency. They have not won any of their last three games in all competition. However, they earned an impressive 1-0 win over Liverpool earlier in the year despite having a makeshift defence. Liverpool has not lost any of their last five home matches against Leicester City, winning four of them.

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham will host the ever improving Southampton for this exciting Premier League fixture. Conte is turning Spurs into a very hard club to beat. The Italian has won the Premier League before, so that shouldn’t be much of a surprise. He would now look to get them inside the top four by the end of this campaign, but he knows Soton are tricky opponents to face. The Saints have remained stable despite almost always losing their best players to other clubs in the Premier League. They are currently 12th on the league table, but you can almost confidently bet that they will finish the campaign higher. The Saints have lost just once in their last three Premier League games and it wasn’t to Manchester City whom they faced in that run. They stopped City’s long winning run in a 1-1 draw and that will give them confidence that they can earn a result from this fixture. Spurs lost back to back games against Chelsea, but they have generally been in fine form recently and produced a stunning comeback against Leicester City not so long ago. They haven’t lost to Southampton in their last five head to heads and that should give them confidence that they can also win this fixture.

Frank Lampard and Eddie Howe will take their clubs head to head when relegation-threatened Newcastle United faces Everton in this game. Howe has been backed with new players in the last transfer window and he knows he needs to deliver in this second half of the season. The former Bournemouth manager remains one of the highly-rated English coaches in the Premier League and he needs to keep the Magpies in the league to enhance his reputation. Lampard is getting another chance to make a name for himself as a manager and the former midfielder made a good start. His Toffees side beat Brentford in the FA Cup at the weekend and they would look to follow that up with another win here. Everton has hard a tough season, but they have an exciting squad and should do much better in this second half. Newcastle has not lost any of their last three Premier League games even though they faced Manchester United and Leeds in those fixtures. Everton has lost all their last three Premier League matches and will want to change that in this game. The Toffees have not beaten Newcastle since 2019 and have lost their last two matches against the Magpies.

Manchester United will face Burnley in the Premier League after they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough. The Red Devils just keep getting worse and they have to beat the struggling Clarets in this fixture to give their fans something to smile about. Sean Dyche has almost always kept Burnley up, but this has been a tough season and he knows he would need to do more to achieve safety in this campaign. Burnely is currently at the bottom of the league table, but they have played at least 2 matches less than the clubs above them. This match would be a tough fixture for them, but they are used to causing upsets and will play to cause one in this fixture. Dyche’s men have two goalless draws from their last two matches and would hope to find the back of the net in this game. Apart from their penalty loss to Boro, United have three wins and a draw from their previous four matches. They would be keen to get back to winning ways in this game, but that might require them to be at their very best to achieve.

Aston Villa will get a chance to avenge their defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup this midweek when they host the Red Devils. Villa has been in good shape since Steven Gerrard Became their manager and he has one more reason to be United, considering he is a Liverpool legend. The former midfielder has helped Villa to sign Lucas Digne and Philippe Coutinho in this transfer window and that shows a lot of ambition from them. United is still struggling to click into full gear since Ralf Rangnick became their manager a few weeks back. The Red Devils remain one of the most talented sides in Europe, but they are struggling to perform well as a team. Villa will certainly test them and they know they were fortunate to have won the FA Cup match between both clubs. Villa has lost their last three matches in all competitions, but they won the last time they faced United in the Premier League. This game promises to serve a lot of excitements, and remains unpredictable.
