NFL picks continue with the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Carolina Panthers in a Week 5 showdown. The 49ers are coming straight off of a 24-9 victory against the Los Angeles Rams. A dominant one for that matter. The Panthers on the other hand just lost to the Arizona Cardinals 26-16 to fall down to 1-3 on the season with more problems than answers. Which of these groups will come away with a win in this game? 

The San Francisco 49ers genuinely look like one of the best teams in the league when they’re clicking. Particularly on the defensive end. We’ve watched them completely clamp up on every team they’ve played this season, holding the reigning champions to just nine points last week. On offense, they aren’t anything special, but they get the job done. Jimmy Garoppolo really just impacts winning when he’s in there. He threw for 239 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams last week. Their run game saw Jeff Wilson take 18 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown. Then Deebo Samuel took six receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown of his own. This group looks very good right now. 

Meanwhile, the Panthers do not look good. In all honesty, this isn’t entirely Baker Mayfield’s fault either. The coaching is horrendous, and they just have not been capitalizing off of big opportunities that their defense gets them. Mayfield threw for 197 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions last week against the Arizona Cardinals. Christian McCaffrey had just eight carries for 27 yards. That’s your problem right there. In no way should your star running back take eight carries. Granted, he did have nine receptions for a team high 81 yards and a touchdown. But still. Carolina has work left to do in their play calling, execution and coaching.  

NFL Picks Today

I am rolling with the 49ers in this game 100 percent. Garoppolo has impacted winning ever since he got to San Francisco. Even though he isn’t putting up the best numbers in the world, the team keeps rolling with him playing complementary football. Plus, their defense is stellar and going up against a Carolina team that consistently drops the ball on offense. San Francisco is favored by 6.5 points, something that they should be able to cover with the way that they’re performing right now.  

The total for this game is set at 39.5 right now. I’d say that this one goes the under for sure. The 49ers and Garoppolo haven’t had the best offense in the world while the Panthers are fairly competitive on defense. On the other hand, as we talked about before, the 49ers are excellent de3fensively while the Panthers are horrendous. These two teams counter each other well, and while the 49ers are expected to cover, it’s hard to see this game being high scoring.

Buffalo’s defense was beefed up after they signed three-time All-Pro LB Von Miller in the
offseason. This added to their studded defense, leading the league in points allowed and yards

this NFL season. There is a predicted +350 on the team to win the conference.

NFC West’s defending champions, Los Angeles Rams might dominate this division which is

Cincinnati in the Super Bowl. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was under a lot of pressure as he
had his first campaign in LA. Stafford led the Rams to their first Super Bowl victory since 1999.
The team didn’t dominate both sides of the ball last season, as their offense was 6th in scoring
and 7th in total yardage (27 PPG, 373 YPG). Defensively, they ranked 9th in allowed points and
13th in yardage (21.3 PPG, 333 YPG).
The Rams reached the finish line, when both sides scored 29 PPG on 378 YPG and left only 8.8
PPG on 282 YPG across four postseason matchups. Giving them the consistency to compete for
the Super Bowl title.

Last season, Buccaneers won the NFC South with a 13-4 record, winning division champs since
2002 under Jon Gruden and quarterback Jeff Garcia. Falling behind the Packers for top seed in
the conference.
Buccaneers ended their postseason journey in the Divisional round after losing to Los Angeles
(L,30-27).
Although Buccaneers didn’t do well in last year’s playoffs, they’re still one of the best squads in
the NFL, boasting second-best title odds after ranking 2nd in total scoring and 7th in points
allowed last season (29.9 OPPG, 20.9 DPPG).

Los Angeles Chargers
Chargers scored 9-7 in their Week 18 Sunday Night Football match last season, to determine if
they’ll go to Cincinnati or go home. Las Vegas won, LA came back from a 15-point fourth-
quarter deficit to force overtime.
Playoffs between Chargers and Raiders, ended badly for the Bolts. Although their downfall
began when they entered Week 18 riding a bad 5-6 SU and 4-7 ATS skid, including losses to
Texans, Broncos, and Vikings.
The Chargers’ offense competed fiercely with some of the NFL’s best; highlighted by them
ranking 5th in scoring and 4th in total yardage last season (27.9 PPG, 390 YPG). But, their
defense was bad, ranking 29th in scoring and 23rd in total yardage (27 PPG, 360 YPG).
If the LA Chargers clean up their defenses this year, they could do well this season.

Kansas City Chiefs
Last season, City Chiefs won the second seed in the AFC with a 12-5 record, almost making
their third straight Super Bowl. They reached halftime of last year’s AFC Championships, but
were outscored 14-3 in the second half and lost the contest in overtime (L, 27-24).
Their last seasons’ offense was dominant, finishing 1st in total yardage and 4th in scoring (29.4
PPG, 408 YPG). But, with All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill in Miami exchanged for a handful
of draft picks past offseason. It will be interesting to see how Patrick Mahomes does without
Tyreek.
Last year most people thought Chiefs’ Divisional Round match against Buffalo would decide the
AFC representatives for the past Super Bowl, and it felt like an AFC Championship Game, as
they scored an overtime victory at Arrowhead Stadium by a 42-36 score.
However, in a trip to the Super Bowl last year, Chiefs fell apart, but the squad is expected to be
very focused this season.

Green Bay Packers
The Packers won the NFC North, earning top seed in the NFC with an exceptional 13-4 record
last season. Aaron Rodgers’ second MVP campaign, ended in the Divisional Round, after
Packers failed in their first round Bye and lost to Niners (L,13-10) at Lambeau Field.
The team traded All-Pro wideout Davante Adams to Las Vegas during the offseason, depleting
their receiving core to Allen Lazard, Christian Watson, and Sammy Watkins. Although Rodgers
might be affected by the loss of Adams, Packers have been unpredictable.
Adams ranks amongst the league’s top receivers, and his departure is a setback. However,
Rodgers is one of the NFL’s most talented quarterbacks. The Packers are expected to struggle
without Adams, they will still be dangerous for this year’s playoffs.

Baltimore Ravens
Despite winning 10+ games and making the playoffs for three consecutive seasons, the Ravens
finished last in the AFC North last year, even with an exceptional 6-2 SU start. Dropping 7 of 9
contests to close (8-9 SU) in the regular season, due to Lamar Jackson’s five-game absence.
They were also missing key players like LT Ronnie Stanley, CB Marlon Humphrey, CB Marcus
Peters, RB J.K. Dobbins, and RB Gus Edwards, leading last year’s loss.

The Ravens will play better this year, although they separated from WR Marquise Brown in the
offseason. This doesn’t seem like a huge loss, but tight end All-Pro Mark Andrews will do most
of the work.
We will see if the receiving core headed by wide receivers Rashod Bateman, Tylan Wallace, and
the crew of undrafted rookies will be enough to offensively help Ravens go back to their former
glory.

San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco ended last season third in the NFC West with a 10-7 record, earning them a Wild
Card spot. They had a bad 3-5 start, but secured a 7-2 to win their second playoff berth since
2014.
Much wasn’t expected from them in the postseason, after their first round Draw with Dallas.
However, they beat the Cowboys and Packers in last year’s NFC Championship Game. Almost
pulling a three-game season sweep of LA, but lost (L, 20-17).
Niners were eager for a new quarterback, attempting to trade Jimmy Garoppolo this past
offseason, to let Trey Lance take over, but couldn’t get one.

San Francisco’s success isn’t dependent on offense. They ranked 15th in scoring and 11th in total
yardage last season (24 PPG, 361 YPG). This score nearly facilitated their 5th ranked defense to
the Super Bowl (20.6 PPG, 312 YPG).

Cincinnati Bengals

postseason contest, followed by road matches against Tennessee in the Divisional Round and
Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game.
The Bengals numbers didn’t go off the charts in any department last season, though their offense
was 9th in scoring and 14th in total yardage (26.3 PPG, 355 YPG). Defensively, they ranked
13th in points allowed and 19th in yardage allowed (21.8 PPG, 352 YPG).
Bengals wowed the football community when they got a ticket to Super Bowl 56. While their
talent level doesn’t measure up to other AFCs topdogs, their last year squad was an example of
how youth and health are essential in the NFL.

In Spread bet, the standard moneyline odds is -110 which means betting $110 to win $100.

Totals
Total bet is a wager placed on the total points scored by two teams in a game.
When you bet on totals, you are 100% uncertain about who will win the game but you just want to predict
if it will be a high scoring game or a low scoring one, if the total points of the game will be over or under
that amount.

NBA Futures Betting
NBA Futures odds show up first in the off-season and are used for long-term bets. They cover the
outcomes of a season and events that will occur by then.

Live Betting

Russell Wilson To Blame After Disgusting TNF Loss

Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos quickly became the talk of the town on Thursday Night. Though, it wasn’t in the way that they were hoping it would be. The Broncos were embarrassingly bad on their TNF matchup with the Indianapolis Colts at home. It was a game so boring, that the majority of their fans decided to get up and walk out of the stadium as the game headed into overtime. Yes, it was that horrible to watch. It was just yet another showing of this Broncos team completely underperforming compared to their offseason expectations. With Wilson being at the forefront of the trouble. 

Wilson had two horrific interceptions during their overtime loss to the Colts 12-9. Both of them came with Denver in scoring range. The first was a complete overthrow on KJ Hamler early in the fourth quarter and the second came right before the two-minute warning at the 13-yard line. They were already up by three points and the inexcusable pass call resulted in a turnover instead of guaranteed points. They might not even sound that bad on paper, but the film shows how horrendous they were. 

After the game, Wilson said, “It’s very simple. At the end of the day, I have to be better. I have to play better. This team, this defense played their butts off tonight. We had some key, good drives where we moved the ball. In the red zone, we just didn’t get to capitalize on some of them. There were some plays here and there that we can capitalize on. At the end of the day, throwing two interceptions can’t happen. Can’t happen. I let the team down tonight.” 

Russell Wilson Needs To Step It Up

While the sentiment is nice, Russ still hasn’t turned it around for the Denver squad that just handed over $250 million dollars to him. Wilson is on pace for career lows in completion percentage, passing touchdown percentage and passer rating through five weeks of the season. He also has just four total passing touchdowns. All year long the Broncos have had to watch this group dink and dunk their way down the field. Which hurts even more when you have guys like Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy just itching to get the ball. 

The Broncos currently rest at 2-3 on the season despite being listed as Super Bowl candidates after the blockbuster trade to ship Russ to Denver. This group is averaging a measly 15 points per game right now and have broken the 20-point barrier just once all season long. Wilson admitted that he’s excited to see this team turn it around, but boy is he quickly losing the locker room and the fan base. The leash is getting awfully tight for Wilson and this Broncos squad. And at this point, I can’t even say for certain if this is because of their head coach or Wilson.  

We’ll see how Russ and company handle an easier stretch of games in these next four to six weeks. They are starting to run out of time to put it all together with the Kansas City Chiefs also being in their division.
