Otawwa Senators defenseman, Matinpalo, was selected to be a part of Finlands roster for the 4 nations Face-off holding on Sunday.
The defenseman who has been ruled out of the last three games due to an upper body injury will be representing Finland at the event.
Matinpalo who hasn’t earned a single point in 18 NHL games this season while averaging around twelve hours of game time hasn’t really been doing much for his team.
So far, he has 8 points in 24 games for Belleville of the American Hockey League.
The four Nations Face off will kickstart from February 12-20 Montreal and Boston, and Finland will play its first game February 13 against the United State at Bell Centre, 8 p.m ET.
