Drew Doughty has been selected to join Canada’s roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off, to be held in Montreal and Boston from February 12-20. The news was announced on Saturday by the LA Kings.
The 35 year old defenseman replaces Alex Pietrangelo of the Vegas Golden Knights, who withdrew Jan. 26.
“Got a call today, right before my nap,” Drew Doughty said.
“Exciting, exciting day. I had this on my mind ever since I’ve come back, and put a little too much pressure on myself to perform at a very high level.
Game was kind of up and down. Ever since I knew I had a really good chance, in the last two games, I think I got back to myself.
”
