Philippe Coutinho has reportedly asked Liverpool to sell him next month as he continues to eye a dream move to Barcelona.
The 25 years old Brazilian is the Catalan’s top target and they saw successive bids totalling £114 million for his signature rejected by the Reds last summer.
However, Spanish media is reporting that Barcelona has maintained a line of communication with the Reds as they are still very much interested in signing the Brazilian.
Coutinho tried to aid his transfer to Spain last summer by submitting a written transfer request that was rejected by the Reds, and per the reports, Coutinho has requested the Reds sell him again next month.
Coutinho has picked up form for the past couple of games for the Reds and remain a key player for them, it is highly unlikely that Jurgen Klopp would be happy to see him leave in the middle of a very important season as this one.
Barca is reportedly looking at alternatives to the midfielder, and they would reportedly move for Mesut Ozil if they fail to land him next month.
Ozil has under seven months left on his current deal, and would be sold for a cut price deal.
