Southampton finally fired Mark Hughes early this week after his team threw away a 2-0 lead before half time at Manchester United.
Hughes may have saved them from relegation last season, but he has failed to build on that and leaves the Saints with just two wins from almost 9 months at the helm.
The Saints have won just 1 league game all season and they would be handled by Kelvin Davis for this game after the former goalkeeper was named their caretaker manager, we expect Mauricio Pochettino to go all out for the points as they look to recover from their derby day loss to Arsenal.
Spurs would be looking to get back to winning ways as soon as possible. The Lilywhites would be without Jan Ventoghen for this game after he was sent off against the Gunners. Toby Alderweireld would be recalled to the starting line up here, however, Juan Foyth struggled to defend against Arsenal and that could be the case here again which would be good news for Southampton’s fans.
Totteham have won all but one of their last four meetings with Southampton, all those games have ended with both teams scoring as well.
