Roma have submitted a formal offer for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, who remains on the club’s list of unwanted players this summer.
Sancho, 25, is part of United’s so-called ‘bomb squad’ as the Premier League side continues to push him towards an exit.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Roma have emerged as the leading contenders for his signature.
The Serie A side’s proposal is described as an ‘official’ bid, structured as a loan with an obligation to buy for £20 million next summer.
Sancho’s current United deal runs until the end of the season, though the club hold an option to extend it by a further year.
