Matthew Tkachuk appears on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’

Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk made a short appearance The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday for an interesting chat about hockey and family.

Fresh off playing for Team USA at the 4 Nations Face-Off, Tkachuk talked about the tournament’s intense atmosphere and the disappointment that came with losing to Canada in overtime in the final. He also shared what it was like finally playing on the same team as his brother, Brady Tkachuk who is also the captain of the Ottawa Senators.

The conversation took a fun turn when Matthew Tkachuk laughed about his dad, Keith Tkachuk, getting emotional over the Panthers’ Stanley Cup win last season.

Fallon who’s a big hockey fan and frequent attendee at Rangers games didn’t hesitate to ask about the 2026 Olympics – where NHL teams will be competing for the first time in over a decade.

Tkachuk shared his excitement for the Olympics and the chat ended with Fallon wishing Tkachuk a gold medal in his next tournament.

“Next time I see you, you’ll have gold around your neck,” Fallon said.

“I hope so,” Tkachuk replied.
