Manchester United’s search for a permanent left full-back has taken them to Scotland as they are reportedly keen on Celtic’s full-back, Kieran Tierney.
Jose Mourinho has had to alternate between Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind in his left back position this season.
However, the Portuguese manager wants a permanent option, and none of the players who have played that position has impressed him enough.
Tierney is still just 20, but he has so much experience with two full Scottish league seasons under his belt.
He has played more than 20 games in Europe for Celtic and was very instrumental as they went 69 domestic games unbeaten.
The Red Devils are also looking to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus, but Jose Mourinho feels Tierney is a cheaper alternative and can also do a great job.
Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon is also interesting Mourinho, however, Tierney’ experience sees him move ahead of the young English man.
Tierney recently signed a new deal with Celtic that would see him remain with the Scottish Champions until 2023.
His passion for the Bhoys could also be a stumbling block in any transfer.
