Manchester United are actively in the market for a new goalkeeper despite continuing talks with current number one David de Gea.
The Red Devils and de Gea have been in discussion since last year over renewing the goalkeeper’s contract, which expires this month. United revealed last week that they are still locked in negotiations with the Spaniard when announcing their retained list.
However, according to 90min, Man United are still looking to sign a new goalkeeper despite progressing in talks with de Gea. The 32-year-old received a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League but is expected to turn it down in favour of staying at Old Trafford.

Man United’s top targets are Brentford’s David Raya and Porto’s Diogo Costa. However, United are not the only side interested in Raya, with the Spaniard currently in talks with Tottenham. But Spurs are unwilling to meet the Bees’ £40m asking price, which could open the door for the Red Devils, who are willing to stump up that sum.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag also remains a huge fan of Inter Milan’s Andre Onana, having worked with the Cameroonian at Ajax. Inter may need to sell the 27-year-old to balance their books, so his move to Old Trafford is a huge possibility. But Chelsea are reportedly interested in Onana, with the future of Eduoard Mendy uncertain.
Should De Gea sign a new contract, it is less likely that Manchester United will spend a huge amount on a new goalkeeper.
