Manchester United is set to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot in a deal worth £15m.
The Frenchman has one more season left on his current deal at Juventus, and it doesn’t seem the Italians will offer him an extension.
He is one of their key players, but they are cutting down on their wage bill, and he earns too much money.
United wants a new midfielder, and they have been pursuing a move for Frenkie de Jong for much of this summer.
However, the midfielder is not interested in joining a club that doesn’t play in the Champions League.
Matchplug understands that they remain interested in buying him, but they are turning their attention towards Rabiot now.
The Frenchman previously played for PSG, which he left for Juve as a free agent in 2019.
He is now looking to come back to England after spending some time at the academy of Manchester City earlier in his career.
