Manchester City are on the verge of rewarding former Liverpool man, Raheem Sterling with a new deal worth £300,000 per week.
The English attacker has been in sparkling form this season, coming up with the winning goals on many occasion for the Cityzens.
His form has predictably begin to pique the interest of some of Europe’s elite teams and City would love to tie him down to a new long term contract.
The deal would make him the Premier League’s earner eclipsing the £290,000 per week Manchester United currently pay Paul Pogba.
Sterling currently has two years left on his current deal, but his representatives expect to be presented with a new contract before the end of this season.
Sterling rejected a contract worth 100, 000 per week at Liverpool to move to the Etihad two summers ago where he was offered £180,000.
He was a subject of transfer interest from Arsenal last summer who wanted him in exchange for Alexis Sanchez, but City rejected the offer and offered a straight cash deal for the Chilean.
he has scored 9 Premier League goals this season already.
