Manchester City are reportedly ready to sanction the sale of Aymeric Laporte this summer to enable them to sign highly-rated Croatian centre-back Josko Gvardiol.
According to SPORT, City are one of the clubs battling for the signature of Gvardiol from RB Leipzig in the summer. Should they sign him, it would allow Spanish international Laporte to depart.

La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are on high alert and are ready to pounce if an opportunity to sign Laporte arises.
The 28-year-old defender joined City from La Liga side Athletic Bilbao in 2018 in a €65 million deal. He is valued at €38 million and will add experience to any side that signs him. He has made 15 appearances this season, registering one assist.
