Liverpool warn Real Madrid off Mohamed Salah as they prepare to hand him a new contract

One of the prices that come with having the most in-form player on the planet on your team is that everybody would want to have him, and that is what Liverpool are suffering from right now.

The Reds have in Mohamed Salah arguably the most productive player in the world at the moment and they know what they have in hand would interest other top European sides.

Salah is on the verge of firing them to the Champions League final, and he has already netted a whopping 43 goals in his maiden season at Anfield and looks set to break Ian Rush’s record of 47 goals in a single season for the Reds.

Liverpool are well aware of the interest from Real Madrid, and Sun Sport is claiming that they have warned the Spaniards off the Egyptian forward. Per the reports, the Reds are prepared to make him their main man for years to come and that would be accompanied by a renewed contract.

Salah currently earns £90,000 per week, a figure that does not reflect his current form and Liverpool are happy to offer him double that amount. They hope that would persuade him to ignore the interest from Real Madrid at least next summer.
