Liverpool will look to continue their remarkable run of form this Saturday when they welcome Brentford to Anfield.
The Reds have enjoyed a strong run in the past few matchdays, winning five in a row after their 1-0 win over Fulham in midweek.
That win took them to fifth position in the league, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played a game less. So there is still a remote chance they can finish in the top four places of the Premier League.
Although Jurgen Klopp has played down that possibility, instead focusing on his side’sside’s winning run, he will quietly wish Manchester would keep dropping points.

But to finish higher than they currently are, they will have to keep winning games and hope that something dramatic happens between now and the end of the season.
As unlikely as that seems, Klopp’s men tend to excel as the season draws to a close, having won 12 of their last 13 games in May (D1). They’ll fancy their chances of getting all three more points here, given their impressive record across their last 40 PL matches at Anfield (W30, D9, L1).
Meanwhile, Brentford come into this tie in decent shape, having won their last two games, including a 2-0 win over Chelsea.
However, for this tie, they are underdogs as they’ve won only two of their 14 PL matches against sides in the top five when the Bees faced them (D5, L7).
But they will be unafraid here, having beaten 3-1 in the reverse fixture. So there may be no better time for manager Thomas Frank to etch his name into the history books, as he could register only Brentford’sBrentford’s second-ever win at Anfield in eleven attempts (D2, L7) while completing their first-ever league double over the Reds.
A point wouldn’t be a bad result for Brentford either, and considering they’ve drawn more PL matches this season than any other side (14), they could prove stubborn to break down.
