Juventus join race for the signature of Manchester United target

The race for the signature of Mesut Ozil is getting hot and there seem to be a new team being added to the list of his suitors by the day.

The German has under six months left in his current Gunners’deal and the possibility of him renewing is getting slimmer as the team’s form gets worst.

Manchester United were thought to be in the driving seat for his signature, however, Sun Sport is reporting that the Red Devils now face a significant threat in the form of Juventus.

The Italians are looking to stock their midfield, and are close to announcing a pre-contract agreement with Liverpool’s Emre Can, but they want more Premier League midfielders.

The report claims that Juve are using Ozil’s close friend Sami Khedira to convince the German to join them.

Arsenal are exploring the possibility of cashing in this month, but his form has improved so well that Wenger feels he should stay and help them finish inside the top four.

Jose Mourinho would also explore the possibility of signing Ozil this month, and he reportedly has about £80 million to spend.

The Portuguese manager is reportedly ready to splash £35 million on the German should the Gunners put him on sale, but if that is not the case he is happy to wait and get him for free next summer.
