Jobe Bellingham has admitted to feeling “anxieties” about following in his brother Jude’s footsteps since joining Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The 19-year-old, who moved from Sunderland in June after their promotion to the Premier League, is two years younger than Jude, who starred for Dortmund before joining Real Madrid in 2023.
“It’s something you do think about. You have these anxieties, especially me as I’m only young,” Jobe said at Dortmund’s pre-season camp in Austria. “This was a decision I made and it’s for myself. My journey is not anyone else’s to understand.”
Bellingham made his debut for the club in the Club World Cup in the United States, scoring once and providing an assist in four games. Like at Sunderland, he wears “Jobe” on the back of his shirt to avoid direct comparisons with his older brother.
