Estevao Willian was on target for Palmeiras’ 2-2 draw with Fortaleza in a match last week Sunday. Willian turned a spot-kick that gave his club a crucial point as he once again made history in Brazil Serie A.
With 11 goals this year, the youngster reached Flamengo’s Pedro’s tally to become Serie A’s joint-highest goalscorer. He has also provided the highest number of assists in the league this season.
Chelsea have a contract ready that will bring Willian to West London in July 2025 after his 18th birthday. That transfer is predicted to be worth up to £56 million ($73m). Early this month, he surpassed Neymar to become the most inventive 17-year-old in the history of the league as he hit 17 goal assists.
Before then, Neymar had a record of 16 goals and assists which he delivered for Santos in 2009.
