Borussia Dortmund vs Frankfurt: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Borussia Dortmund will look to return to winning ways this Saturday when they face Eintracht Frankfurt at Signal Iduna Park. Last time, they failed to take advantage of Bayern Munich’s draw with Hoffenheim oas they, were held to a 3-3 draw against Stuttgart after taking the lead in the game. Edin Terzić can only hope that his side’s failure to defeat Stuttgart in that pulsating draw won’t be a season-defining moment in the title race, as that was a golden opportunity to draw level with Bayern at the Bundesliga summit. Regardless, the visit of Eintracht Frankfurt may provide some much-needed respite for the hosts, who hope to build on their patchy five-game league form (W2, D2, L1) against the side they’ve defeated more often than any other in the top-flight (W48, D20, L31). Read more: Mainz vs Bayern Munich: Preview and Expert Football Prediction If that’s not enough to inspire confidence, then perhaps boasting the league’s strongest home record (W11, D1, L1) will be enough to rally the troops after last weekend’s disappointment. Frankfurt enters this clash in terrible form, having suffered an almighty fall from grace in the league, with a seven-game winless run seeing them tumble out of the European places (D4, L3).  Yet, Oliver Glasner’s side have a DFB Pokal semi-final on the horizon, so if they fall further adrift of the top six here, they’re likely to focus more on earning European qualification via the cup competition. But things don’t look much better on the road for the Eagles, who are enduring their longest wait for an away league win since 2017 (D4, L4). Stopping the rot against this particular opposition will be tricky, to say the least, with Glasner losing each of his seven personal Bundesliga H2Hs with Dortmund. His embarrassment may not stop there, as one more defeat would equal the Bundesliga record for one coach against a specific opponent. Click here to get Betting Tips Today.

Angers vs Paris Saint-Germain: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain will look to extend their lead at the top of the league table when they travel to Stade Raymond-Kopa on Friday to face bottom-of-the-table Angers. The hosts have had a miserable season, with just three wins in 31 games (D5, L23). The 14 points they have won this season are only better than Elche in La Liga, who have won just 13 points after 29 games. So mathematically, Angers are the worst team in Europe’s top five leagues this season. Meanwhile, they could be mathematically relegated to Ligue 2 if they lose this game, proving again how poor they have been this season. Doing whatever it takes to help their team, last weekend, some SCO fans even tried to distract then-opponents Clermont by showing their backside during the two penalties that their team conceded, but it didn’t work as Angers eventually lost 2-1 to remain rock-bottom. Read more: Arsenal vs Southampton: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Coach Alexandre Dujeux lamented his players’ “lack of sharpness” during that defeat on Sunday after his team scored first within 30 minutes and even played the whole second half with eleven men against ten. Nevertheless, a return to the Stade Raymond-Kopa will be welcome for Angers, who have taken points in their last two home outings (W1, D1), and their recent 1-0 win against in-form Lille shows that a positive result isn’t impossible. Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead at the top of the league table thanks to a 3-1 win over closest challengers Lens last time out. The win ended a return of two consecutive home losses for the Parisians and relieved some pressure off head coach Christopher Galtier. The French coach stated that his men shouldn’t believe that “it (the title) is already done” after his side opened an eight-point lead at the top. But it seems nigh on impossible that PSG will be denied a record 11th French title considering they will only face teams currently ranked tenth or below until the end of the season.  They travel to this venue in confidence, too, having won their last six visits to Angers, while their last H2H loss here dates back to January 1975. Arsenal vs Southampton: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Premier League returns this weekend as league leaders Arsenal welcome bottom-of-the-table Southampton to the Emirates Stadium on Friday. The Gunners will look to get back to winning ways when they return to the Emirates after back-to-back away games that saw them drop four points from Te’o games. That came with back-to-back 2-2 draws away to Liverpool and West Ham in their last game, cutting their lead over Man City at the top of the Premier League table to four points. After dropping points from a strong winning position in those two games, Mikel Arteta will hope his side can see off Southampton without any hitches. The clash with the Saints looks like the ideal fixture to get back to winning ways, given that the Gunners have won each of their seven home games against current bottom-half opponents. Read more: Sporting Lisbon vs Juventus: Preview and Expert Football Prediction They have also scored a remarkable 27 combined goals in those games while conceding only seven in reply. So they will fancy their chances of extending their winning run at home in the PL to five games. Meanwhile, Southampton travel to London in dire form. The Saints come into this tie without a win in six Premier League games (D2, L4).  Their last outing was an embarrassing 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace, meaning that they come into this Round sitting four points from safety, despite the tight nature of this season’s relegation fight. Apart from being rooted at the bottom of the table, Southampton have not beaten Arsenal away from home in their last 27 head-to-head meetings.  So, this game is a huge mountain for Rubén Sellés’ side, who are running out of time to secure their Premier League status beyond this season. Sporting Lisbon vs Juventus: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Sporting Lisbon and Juventus will square up this Thursday in Portugal for the second leg of their 2022/23 Europa League quarter-final tie. The hosts lost 1-0 in their first leg, where the breathing difficulties of Juventus ‘keeper Wojciech Szczęsny grabbed the headlines. However, the Pole has since been declared fit for this tie and should be back between the sticks. But this tie is far from over as the discontinuation of the away goals rule gives the hosts a chance to reach the UEL semis for only the second time ever, with coach Rúben Amorim reassuring fans that “the margin is so slim and we must have faith” after the loss in Turin. Read more: Sevilla vs Manchester United: Preview and Expert Football Prediction A much-changed Sporting side drew 1-1 in their league match with Arouca on Sunday, losing ground on European qualification, making the progression from this tie vital.  Yet, with the Lions having failed to win at Estádio José Alvalade across their last four European home matches (D2, L2) and considering they have lost each of the last six two-legged ties with Italian clubs, home fans may not be bullish. Juventus also lost ground in their push for the European spots after falling 1-0 to Sassuolo on Sunday ahead of a troika of key matches in three different competitions (UEL, Serie A and Coppa Italia) that could decide where their season is heading.  But they should be confident after the first-leg win made it four consecutive European victories with a clean sheet for the first time since the 2016/17 Champions League campaign. However, coach Massimiliano Allegri identified “a few mistakes” and some areas where “the lads can improve” following that leg. The Old Lady needs those improvements to stabilise their away form that has landed three losses across five competitive trips (W2), including two in a row. Four of those results have come by a single-goal margin, meaning we can’t rule out another tight game. So an under 2.5 goals game is a possibility here.

Sevilla vs Manchester United: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The Europa League returns this Thursday as the competition record holders Sevilla welcome Manchester United to Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán for the second leg of their quarter-final tie.  The hosts snatched a credible 2-2 draw in the first leg, despite going two goals behind in the first half. So they will hope to build on that second-half performance at home, where they have enjoyed much success lately. The Andalusian club have lost just one of their last eleven games at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán (W8, D2), scoring 2+ goals in their last seven games at this venue. Read more: Bayern Munich vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Having recorded a pair of home clean sheets and wins against PSV Eindhoven (3-0) and Fenerbahçe (2-0) in this tournament, they will be full of confidence going into this game. An unbeaten record against United (W2, D2) and an unbeaten start to life under new manager José Luis Mendilibar (W2, D2) will also boost their morale as they attempt to secure progression to their first UEL semi-finals since 2019/20. Manchester United bounced back from that disappointing 2-2 draw with Sevilla last Thursday to record a huge 2-0 win over struggling Nottingham Forest.  The result gave them complete control of their top four destiny in the PL as they ended the weekend sitting in third position. They also recorded their seventh clean sheet in their last ten wins in that game, so they should be buoyed by that ahead of this tie.   Another source of confidence will be that they remain undefeated in this competition since an opening matchday home loss to Real Sociedad (W8, D2). Their run includes three trips to Spain (W2, D1).  Therefore, they have every right to be confident of returning home as semi-finalists, especially not having lost any of their last seven UEFA contests on Spanish soil (W5, D2). Meanwhile, all but two of Sevilla’s last 15 competitive wins were accompanied by a clean sheet. So we might see a low-scoring affair at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, with an under 2.5 goals game the most likely. Click here to get accurate football predictions.

Bayern Munich vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Manchester City will look to seal their place in the Bayern Munich when they welcome Manchester City to Allianz Arena this Tuesday for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie. Bayern was beaten 3-0 in the first leg at the Etihad, with goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland condemning the Bavarians to their first defeat in the Champions League this season.  While the game was overshadowed by the altercation between Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane at full time that saw the ex-Liverpool man draw blood from the German winger, Thomas Tuchel will hope that he can channel the inner anger in his players to winning against City at the Allianz Arena.  Read more: Napoli vs AC Milan: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  The ex-Chelsea coach has maintained his side “won’t give up” ahead of this crucial game. However, a 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim at the weekend was far from the ideal preparation for this game. But Bayern’s record at home in the UCL will give them full confidence as they look to become just the fifth side to progress from a UCL knockout tie after losing the first leg by a 3+ goal margin. But the fact that Bayern have scored more than once in just one of their last six games does not inspire much confidence, while Tuchel has lost each of his last three personal meetings with City boss Pep Guardiola without his side scoring a single goal.  The City manager will look to extend that personal record against Tuchel and to record his 100th Champions League win. Only Carlo Ancelotti and Sir Alex Ferguson reached that landmark before the Spaniard, so it will be a great honour to achieve that feat at the Allianz Arena, where he had a successful stint after leaving Barcelona.  His side comes into this tie on the back of a ten-match winning run in all competitions, last tasting defeat back in early February (W12, D2 since). So they will travel to Munich with good spirits and confidence that they will win her,e, given that they have suffered just one defeat from their 20 meetings with German opposition in the UCL (W16, D3).  But it likely won’t be a walk in the park for the Cityzns, as they have won just one of their last six European road trips (D4, L1). Meanwhile, the fact that Bayern Munich hasn’t lost consecutive UCL matches over 90 minutes since 2014 makes the tie even more tricky.  Click here to get accurate football beting tips.

Inter Milan vs Benfica: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Inter Milan will look to seal their progression into the semi-final round of the UEFA Champions League when they welcome Portuguese side Benfica to San Siro on Wednesday.  The hosts put one foot into the tournament’s next round when they secured a 2-0 win in the first leg in Lisbon.  However, a shock 1-0 home defeat to Monza at the weekend brought them back down to earth and proved Inter are penetrable at the San Siro. So they must be on their guard to warn off Benfica’s advances and secure a first UCL semi-final spot since 2010. Read more: Bayern Munich vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  Considering they have won 17 of the 18 UEFA competition ties in which they have triumphed away from home in the first leg, they look well placed to book a last-four date. So Simone Inzaghi is poised to become the first home-grown Italian coach to lead Inter to the semi-finals of Europe’s premier competition since Eugenio Bersellini in 1980/81. Like their hosts, Benfica makes the trip to Italy on the back of a shock 1-0 defeat of their own, going down against Chaves in Primeira Liga action. The result extended their losing run across all competitions to three matches, with just one goal scored in that period.   If their recent form doesn’t offer much hope for Benfica, then the fact they have already won on Italian soil this season perhaps does, as they beat Juventus 2-1 in group-stage action. However, overall, they have a poor record against Italian teams, with that win against Juventus being one of just four on Italian soil (D1, L11).  They do appear well placed to improve upon that record here, though, as they come into this tie on the back of a nine-match unbeaten run in UCL away games (W6, D3). Meanwhile, none of Inter’s last six UCL home games have seen both teams score. So we can expect another low-scoring game of under 2.5 goals.

LAFC claim first El Trafico road win over LA Galaxy

The 18th edition of one of the best long-standing rivalries in Major League Soccer delivered fantastic goals, another effort from the derby’s goal king and a feat that has never been achieved before, as LAFC celebrated its first Trafico road win, defeating the winless LA Galaxy, 3-2 Sunday afternoon. See: Granit Xhaka plays down criticism from Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta after West Ham draw “It feels great. I feel like we showed many times that we’re better than them, but for some reason anytime we play here it’s a crazy start,” Carlos Vela said. “After this one, I hope we win more often here and show every time that we play LA Galaxy that we’re the team of this city. online pharmacy buy xenical no prescription with best prices today in the USA ” Vela played a key role in LAFC’s historic win, kicking off the scoring with a 22nd-minute golazo and adding a second from the penalty spot. This brings his total score to 12 goals, which is more than any other player in EL Trafico history. “Carlos has a very special left leg and his football IQ is also off the charts,” LAFC head coach Steve Cherundolo said. “Carlos has done that time and time again and it’s great to see that, it’s great to see him finishing in the manner that he finishes his chances. He doesn’t get many many chances, but he’s there when we need him and that’s why he is at LAFC and nobody else.” LAFC: Short rest, no problem LAFC’s EL Trafico win comes days after the club secured a spot in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals where they’ll face Philadelphia Union in a rematch of last season’s historic MLS Cup – which was won by LAFC using penalty kicks. The club has had a busy stretch of games, but they emerged from it as the only unbeaten team in Major League Soccer after Matchday 8 (a 5W-0L-2D record). “It’s very difficult to win a game in this league, especially on the road. This was also our fifth game in two weeks and I think we saw a little bit of that tonight,” Cherundolo said. “To win here and to continue in the Champions League in the fashion we did, and seeing where we are on the table, makes it much easier to forgive the guys for a rather average to below average performance. online pharmacy buy fluoxetine no insurance with best prices today in the USA “For them to find a way to win after what they’ve been through over the past couple of weeks is absolutely excellent and speaks about their mentality and where we are as a group.” LA Galaxy: defeated but encouraged LA Galaxy joined Sporting Kansas City to be the only two teams in MLS that are winless in 2023 (0W-4L-3D record). However, Galaxy coach Greg Vanney saw a glimmer of hope in his team’s play. Tyler Bord scored an outstanding goal from distance, the longest for the Galaxy in MLS since Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s 40-yard strike on his LA debut in 2018, via Opta. Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez started his first match of the season in his return from injury and played the entire 90 minutes, providing an emotional spark to a team that desperately needed one. And Riqui Puig was sensational with Vanney saying he played his “best game of the season so far.” However, the club were brought down by self-inflicted wounds, delivering LAFC’s goals on a gold platter. “For a lot of the day, I was pleased with our performance, I was pleased with our effort, our energy,” Vanney said. “We punished ourselves today. Today we killed ourselves and that’s unfortunate against a good team that has momentum in their favor.” After a steep turnover by Gaston Brugman in midfield that assisted Vela’s first goal, the Galaxy entered the half courtesy of Boyd’s first MLS goal. But “two colossal mistakes” two minutes apart led to Vela’s second goal and Ryan Hollingshead’s goal giving the guests a 3-1 lead with 20 minutes to go. “I’m proud of the guys’ effort. online pharmacy buy zoloft no insurance with best prices today in the USA This is an interesting week for everybody. online pharmacy buy professional cialis no insurance with best prices today in the USA But the effort for the guys was fantastic. We’ve got to cut out the part where we hurt ourselves to make the other team beat us.” Chicarito described it as LA Galaxy’s best play of the season and, although he said he hates to lose, he will take a loss in the way they did to LAFC over the 3-0 defeat Houston Dynamo FC dealt with them on Matchday 7. “Today I think regardless of the result, it was the best performance in my opinion that we did because honestly if LAFC is considered the best team in the league, we outplayed them,” he said. “The problem is we did [a] very naive mistake, all of us.” LAFC intends to maintain their hot start to the season when they visit Nashville SC Saturday (8:30 pm ET | MLS Season Pass), while the Galaxy will host Austin FC Saturday (10:30 pm ET | MLS Season Pass).

Napoli vs AC Milan: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Napoli and AC Milan will continue their recent rivalry this Tuesday when they meet at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie.  The hosts are looking to be third-time lucky against AC Milian, having lost their last two head-to-head meetings with the San Siro side. That run includes a 1-0 loss in the first leg of this tie, with an early goal from Brahima Diaz the difference that night. Luciano Spaletti’s side has followed that loss with a disappointing goalless draw with Hellas Verona at the weekend, meaning that they have failed to score in their last two games. The return of star hitman Victor Osimhen will be a big relief for the hosts, who have enjoyed a solid return of goals when the Nigerian is in the team. Read more: Chelsea vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  Also, returning to their home will boost their confidence as the hosts boast a proud home record in this competition. They have avoided defeat in their last 12 UCL games at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium (W9, D3). Notably, all four matches in this year’s edition of the competition delivered victories. Meanwhile, AC Milan could now become the first team to beat Napoli three times in one season since Lazio back in 1994/95, having enjoyed back-to-back success in their last two meetings.   However, the visitors could not take their form against Napoli to the league at the weekend as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Bologna. Even though they remain in fourth position, that result complicated their quest for the Serie A top four. But Stefano Piolli’s side has been different gravy in the UCL this season, especially at the back. The Rossoneri have shut out their opponents in their last five UCL matches – their best consecutive run of clean sheets since 2004/05 when they went to the competition’s final. So, we can predict another low-scoring game unless Napoli succeeds in turning on the screw.  Click here to get accurate bet tips today.

Chelsea vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Real Madrid will look to seal their place in the semi-final round of the UEFA Champions League when they travel to London on Tuesday to face a struggling Chelsea side. The Blues are presently out of sorts in all competitions, having yet to win a game since a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in early March. A disappointing 2-1 loss to Brighton last weekend was the latest in poor results. The loss extended their winless run to six games in all competitions (D2, L4), further complicating their chances of finishing in the top six this season. Confidence is undoubtedly low in Frank Lampard’s team’s camp, and they will face another moment of truth when Madrid comes into town.  Read more: Fiorentina vs Atalanta: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Having scored just once in their last five games, it remains to be seen how they can overturn this two-goal deficit against a Real Madrid side that takes things more personally when they meet English teams in this competition. Carlo Ancelotti’s men will travel to Stamford Bridge as the favourites to win, given that they have netted in each of their last seven UCL fixtures on foreign soil (W4, D1, L2). They have won three of their last four games against English teams (L1), while the record of four clean sheets from their last five games also makes them a formidable opponent on their day.  However, they will not travel to London with any hint of complacent, given that Chelsea won their previous round against Dortmund despite a first-leg deficit.  But Madrid have won the last four European ties in which they won the first leg 2-0 at home. So they will be expected to easily go through with a goal or two.  Click here to get correct score tips daily.
