Desailly ‘amazed’ by Newcastle after PSG victory

PSG’s Marcel Desailly has heaped praises on Newcastle United. The legendary French World Cup winning centre back was very impressed with Newcastle after they defeated Paris Saint-Germain 4-1 in the Champions League group stages. Playing against a “group of death” in the competition, Newcastle has proven that it can compete against the biggest teams in Europe. “Everybody will laugh at me if I say Tottenham will make the top four, so I’ll put them aside,” Desailly told Gambling Zone on the Premier League top four. “I’ll say the same names most are saying. “I think Liverpool will be up there, but the inconsistency of Man United will cost them. There’s just too much pain there when it comes to the administration level and the players. online pharmacy estradiol for sale with best prices today in the USA “The management of Erik ten Hag is also too strong for the players they have. He doesn’t have the players in his hands – you can tell. online pharmacy cialis black for sale with best prices today in the USA “You can feel that very strongly. That’s why I believe the best management we have today is at Arsenal. Arteta had a very bad season two years ago and almost got sacked a couple of times. “However, he managed to build up a really nice philosophy and built belief with both the owners and the players. Arteta got the player he wanted this summer and he almost made it last year – but the talent of City was just too strong. online pharmacy buy cymbalta no prescription with best prices today in the USA “He’s rebuilt the belief this season, and you could see that in the last twenty minutes of the game against City yesterday. Arsenal were unbelievable! “They had all the possession and City weren’t able to lift their level and match Arsenal’s intensity. I’ll mention Arsenal, City, and Liverpool. All of those teams operate like diesel – slow, steady power.” When speaking on Newcastle United, Desailly added: “I have no idea who else will finish in the top-four, but I’m waiting for a surprise. Newcastle were magnificent against PSG, but if you look at the match deeply, you realize that PSG allowed them to express themselves on the highest possible level. online pharmacy buy chloroquine no prescription with best prices today in the USA “Luis Enrique made the mistake of going to St James’ Park with four offensive players, none of whom understood the intensity Newcastle planned. “Howe is a typical English coach with a strong fighting spirit. Nobody was expecting Newcastle to play like that. online pharmacy buy kamagra polo no prescription with best prices today in the USA However, it’s a 38-game season, and I’m not sure how Newcastle can maintain that whilst balancing Premier League and Champions League games. “They haven’t been in the Champions League for two decades, and suddenly they’re here! I’m not sure about Newcastle, but I was so happy to see them play like they did against PSG. “That wasn’t supposed to happen, as quality players can play through high presses and opposition teams can’t sustain ninety minutes of pressuring defenses. Despite the result, Newcastle had 29% of the ball. It was an amazing result.” Related Ligue 1 News: PSG bounce back from Newcastle disgrace with Rennes win.

Rennes – PSG

Rennes hosts PSG at the Roazhon Park in a match from the 8th round of the French Ligue 1. Keep up with us and our free football tips for that game.  Let’s start with the hosts. Rennes are 6th in the league with 11 points and a record of two wins and five draws. As you can see, Rennes are doing draws more often than they are winning. This is something the manager Bruno Genesio and his players will try to change, but against PSG it’s going to be difficult. Last weekend Rennes finally won again after a run of consecutive draws. Les Rennais faced Nantes at home and enjoyed a 3-1 win at the Roazhon Park. Benjamin Bourigeaud and Arnaud Kalimuendo scored from penalties while Desire Doue also put the ball in the net.  The 22-year-old Moroccan striker Ibrahim Salah is Rennes’ leading goalscorer since the beginning of the season – he has scored three times. This is a huge improvement for him as he didn’t score a single goal in the Ligue 1 during the 2022/23 campaign. PSG approach this visit to Rennes from 5th place in the standings. The truth is Luis Enrique’s team didn’t have the best start of the season. So far the champions have won just three of their seven matches played. Last weekend PSG made their third draw for the season. Enrique’s boys faced Clermont Foot away from home, but the match ended with no goals scored – 0-0.  Despite putting his stars on the pitch, Luis Enrique didn’t find the formula to win against Clermont Foot. PSG’s new attacking trio of Mbappe, Dembele and Kolo Muani still don’t work as expected. Especially in Dembele’s case, he’s heavily criticized for his lack of contribution in terms of goals and assists.  What Luis Enrique must do now is make Ousmane Dembele feel comfortable on the pitch. The French winger arrived from Barcelona, but he’s still adapting to his new life in France. At certain moments he doesn’t look confident enough maybe because his adaptation is going slower than expected. Kylian Mbappe on the other hand is doing more than well – seven games in six matches played for PSG in the Ligue 1. In the summer it was not completely clear if he’s going to remain at the club, but now the French international is doing very good. Mbappe is going to be the main threat for Rennes’ defense when these two teams meet. Nuno Mendes, Presnel Kimpembe and Marco Asensio continue to recover from their injuries. Meanwhile, Goncalo Ramos is trying his best to return in the line-up after Kolo Muani’s arrival. That’s the free football tips for the Ligue 1 clash between Rennes and PSG at the Roazhon Park. The hosts are one of the best teams in the country, but they are rarely winning since the beginning of the season. Now they have a serious task to challenge the reigning champion. Let’s see if PSG can finally show their true qualities here – it’s going to be an interesting game for sure.

fourth dortmund win in a row

Fourth Dortmund win in a row: “We can still do a lot more!”

After four consecutive wins in a row, things are not only continuing in the right direction in the table for Borussia Dortmund, but the form curve is on the rise. The team’s strong performance in the win in Hoffenheim on Friday last week was topped up with an incredible first half (against Milan) and the best second half of the season (the 4-2 win against 1. FC Union Berlin) in a space of eight days. online pharmacy buy kamagra oral jelly with best prices today in the USA A tweak from Edin Terzic was the determining factor. After a first period in which there were just a few chances and from mostly set pieces too, Borussia’s coach found not only the right words for Dortmund during half-time team talk but the right defence too and the centre-backs further forward. The coach sympathised with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who was put on the line to implement his tactical tweak. “It had nothing to do with his performance,” Terzic stressed, adding: “He was actually one of the liveliest in the first period.” The reason for the winger’s substitution: “We wanted to also have Jule Brandt in the centre in order to create numerical superiority. online pharmacy buy cialis soft with best prices today in the USA “ Dortmund which had been 2-1 down at the break, turned the tides within five minutes. A result of the tactical switch – “We wanted to build up with three players so that Emre had the game in front of him and was slightly deeper than the two other centre-backs” – led to the moment in the 49th minute when Mats Hummels who was assisted by Emre Can in the opposition half, passed the ball to Nmecha, who sent it to Nico Schlotterbeck. What happened next was a remarkable goal, the perfect long-range shot into the Union net. “He doesn’t hit the ball so well in training,” said Terzic with a grin on his face. “I hit it – the fact that it went in like that was very good,” Schlotterbeck said succinctly, before adding: “We played a very good game in the second half. We changed positions very often, we were very flexible on the pitch, and Marco and Julian were super in the spaces in between.” Reus and Brandt combined to deliver a goal that gave Dortmund 3-2. Julian Brandt cleared a Christopher Trimmel cross in his own penalty area and Marco Reus then showed his astounding mastery of the game. online pharmacy buy mounjaro no prescription with best prices today in the USA The second he got the ball in his own half, he kept his eyes on Brandt and moved forward at the exact pace that Brandt needed to run past him. A pass right into his path, a short touch and a shot at head height for the opposition goalkeeper that he couldn’t stop. “When we get the ball into dangerous areas, then we pose a danger,” explained centre-forward Niclas Füllkrug, who had opened the scoring at 1-0 in the match. online pharmacy buy celexa no prescription with best prices today in the USA He emphasised “the force and energy with which we approached the second half: We then played really super football.” If Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich moved past Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga table last Sunday, then the team will spend its international break in fourth position (or higher) and will want to continue the trend in a fortnight’s time.  “We’re on a decent path,” emphasised Nico Schlotterbeck, “but we can still do a lot more”. online pharmacy buy flagyl no prescription with best prices today in the USA More Bundesliga News: Former Tottenham midfielder Gus Poyet says Harry Kane won’t regret his move to Bayern Munich.

Benfica’s João Mário speaks: “We were the team that wanted it the most”

Fans had to wait until ‘90+3’ to celebrate the António Silva goal that gave Benfica 3 points against Estroil (0-1), at Estádio António Coimbra da Mota. Midfielder João Mário analyzed the game, while also highlighting the importance of a fair win, in a “difficult game’’. “We faced a good opponent, whose quality is not represented by their position. A very well-organized team, physically strong… They played good, they had merit. We had several chances that we could not materialize during the game, and that’s it”, analyzed João Mário, in the flash Interview, just after the final whistle. “They had some opportunities, just like us, especially in the first half. When you play away and don’t score right away, the game gets harder, but we deserved the win. We were the team that wanted it the most and created more goal opportunities”, added the midfielder. When asked about the significance of the triumph at Amoreira, João Mário had no doubts: “There will be a break [national teams], yes, but there was also a loss [Inter Milan] and we wanted to react. We did it, and in this game, we have to focus on the three points, which is the most important thing.”
