Soccer Predictions Today: Charlotte FC VS New England Revolution Sure Tips

Charlotte FC will host the New England Revolution in MLS on Saturday, with both clubs playing to stop poor runs of form. Watch Charlotte VS New England. MatchPlug presents the Soccer Predictions today for Charlotte VS New England, we are a Sure Prediction Site where you can get previews and picks for all MLS matches. Predictions and Betting Preview For Charlotte FC VS New England Revolution  Odds as provided by 1XBet. Betting On Charlotte FC Charlott FC is seventh in the Eastern Conference standings, recording a five-point cushion to teams outside the playoff spots, but they have struggled since the Leagues Cup break. Losing 2-0 at Orlando City was their third loss in a row, and they have scored just twice in four matches since returning to MLS play, frustrating Dean Smith.  Smith knows Charlotte must start delivering in the final third if they want to retain an MLS Cup playoff place, starting with Saturday’s match against the New England Revolution.  Betting On New England Revolution The New England Revolution fumbled a 2-0 lead in their 2-2 midweek draw with CF Montreal, a result that left them five points away from the playoff race at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.  The Revolution have struggled a lot lately, going for four league matches without a victory (two draws, two losses) and winning just one of their last nine (three draws, five losses). MatchPlug Prediction For Charlotte FC VS New England Revolution  No club in the Eastern Conference has lost more road games than New England’s nine this season, so this match could be a good one for Charlotte.  Final Prediction: Charlotte FC Moneyline.

Predictions and Betting Preview For New York City VS Inter Miami  Odds as provided by 1XBet. Betting On New York City  New York City are spiralling downward lately. They only need a few more points in order to win the coveted Supporters’ Shield. Awarded to the team with the most points in the regular season, this is a much desired trophy for Miami.  Manager Tata Martino has an excellent 3-4-1 record against New York City, so he should have no problem rallying his squad against the hosts. Soccer Predictions Today: Columbus Crew VS FC Cincinnati Sure Tips

Columbus VS Cincinnati promises to be an thrilling encounter as both clubs resume their fight to dominate the MLS Eastern Conference.  MatchPlug presents the Soccer Predictions today for Columbus VS Cincinnati, we are a Sure Prediction Site where you can get previews and picks for all MLS matches. Predictions and Betting Preview For Columbus Crew VS FC Cincinnati Odds as provided by 1XBet. Betting On Columbus Crew  Columbus Crew entered this match in strong form, despite recently losing 4-0 to the Seattle Sounders, a loss that broke their eight-game winning streak across all contests. This included winning their first-ever Leagues Cup trophy and delivering a series of solid performances to top the Eastern Conference. Offensively, Columbus have been one of  MLS’ most resourceful teams this term, delivering 52 goals, the second-highest total in the Eastern Conference. Their forward Hernandez has been the major driving force behind this achievement. On the defensive end, Crew have done well too, giving up only 28 goals; the lowest in MLS. Betting On FC Cincinnati FC Cincinnati entered this game driven, after ending a four-game losing streak with an important 4-1 victory in their last outing. They gained confidence after a poor stretch of form that followed their superior win over inter Miami in July. Despite struggling, Cincinnati is still in second position in the Eastern Conference with 51 points from 27 matches, recording 16 wins, three draws and eight losses. Now they must preserve their Supporter’s Shield hope.  Luciano Acosta has headed Cincinnati’s offensive strength this season. Acosta leads the team and the league in assists, while also being the club’s top goalscorer although he missed the last match due to a yellow card suspension. The hosts’ defence is a source of worry, conceding 36 goals this campaign. MatchPlug Prediction For Columbus Crew VS FC Cincinnati Cincinnati has made a recent resurgence and has a home advantage that should give them an edge in this game, despite their weak defence.  Final Prediction: FC Cincinnati Moneyline.

Soccer Predictions Today: CF Montreal VS Charlotte Sure Tips

CF Montreal will host Charlotte FC this weekend, with both clubs looking to gather momentum as the MLS regular season nears its end. Watch CF Montreal VS Charlotte. You can find the Soccer Predictions for CF Montreal VS Charlotte on MatchPlug. We are a reliable  Prediction Site for Major League Soccer predictions and previews.  Predictions and Betting Preview For CF Montreal VS Charlotte  Odds presented by 1XBet. Betting On CF Montreal  CF Montreal will enter this game with 27 points from 27 matches, securing only six victories. With seven games left, they are five points off the final playoff spot, leaving little room for error. Montreal’s defense struggled throughout the season, giving up 58 goals; the most in the whole Eastern Conference. This lack of strong defense has given them only two wins from their last 10 league matches.  The only upside for Montreal is their solid record against Charlotte since both clubs first met in 2022. They won three and drew one of their four league matches, with their last home match ending in an easy 2-0 victory, boosting their confidence for this match. Betting On Charlotte  Charlotte is in the race for their second playoff appearance in a row and with just seven matches left, they need every point they can get to secure their top-seven spot despite a drop in form. The guests have gotten mixed reactions in recent matches, with just one win in their last five league matches. Charlotte’s most recent outing ended in a 1-0 home loss to Atlanta United, followed by a 1-1 home draw with New York Red Bulls.  Historically, Charlotte have struggled against Montreal, never winning in four last MLS meetings, including a 2-0 loss in their last visit to Stade Saputo. With one draw in this fixture, they’ll want to end that streak and secure an important three points to boost their playoff push. MatchPlug Prediction For CF Montreal VS Charlotte  Montreal has a home form that matches the defensive record Charlotte has, which could make this match a close one. Final Prediction: Both Teams To Score.

Both squads have been inconsistent this term and will want to win Atlanta VS Nashville. MatchPlug has the preview of Atlanta VS Nashville, which shows you the Best soccer bets today, picks, odds, and analysis for this match. Predictions and Betting Preview For Atlanta United VS Nashville SC  Odds provided by 1XBet. Betting On Atlanta United Atlanta United are in 10th position in the league table presently and have not been at their best this term. The home side edged Charlotte FC to a narrow 1-0 win in their last game and will want to recreate this result on Sunday.  In a run going back to the beginning of April this year, Atlanta have only won two of their last 10 games at home in the regular season of  MLS.  Betting On Nashville SC  Nashville SC are fixed to the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference standings and have struggled to make an impact so far this campaign. They suffered a disappointing 3-0 loss to Orlando City last week and will need to redeem themselves on Sunday. Nashville have put on a shocking poor performance in the league this campaign and desperately need revival. Hany Mukhtar can be dangerous when he plays and will need to bear the goalscoring burden for the team. MatchPlug Prediction For Atlanta United VS Nashville SC  Atlanta United have their own issues to address and will need to bring their A-game to this fixture. Both clubs are evenly matched and could play out a draw.  Final Prediction: Both teams to score.

Chicago Fire sporting director Georg Heitz to leave club

Chicago Fire announced on Monday, that sporting director Georg Heitz will leave the club. This will be after the 2024 MLS season.  Mentioning personal reasons, Heitz will return to Switzerland after five seasons managing Chicago’s football operations. He will remain on the board of directors at partner club FC Lugano. And will keep playing a major role in the relationship between both teams. “I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to [Chicago Fire owner] Joe Mansueto and his family for their unwavering trust and loyalty. Their commitment to the club is exceptional, and working alongside them has been an honor,” Heitz said in an official statement. “… Although the results have fallen short of our expectations, I am proud of our progress in other important areas and the working culture we’ve established, which will serve the organization well moving forward.” Heitz became Chicago sporting director in December 2019. During his stint, the Fire signed 10 homegrown players. They also completed two major outbound transfers: goalkeeper Gaga Slonina joining Chelsea FC and forward Jhon Durán joining Aston Villa.  He also presided over the signing of Swiss player Xherdan Shaqiri and club-record signing Hugo Cuypers.  Additionally, Chicago formed MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Chicago Fire II. They set up an international, multi-club network by buying of Swiss Super League side FC Lugano during Heitz’s tenure.  But, the Fire failed to reach the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs under Heitz. With nine matches left in their 2024 campaign, Chicago are 14th in the Eastern Conference. They are on pace to miss the postseason for the seventh straight season.  “Georg recently informed me of his decision to step away from the Fire after the season, and while I respect his choice to return to Switzerland, his presence and leadership will be greatly missed,” Mansueto said in a release. “I would like to sincerely thank Georg for his dedicated efforts to expand our football operations and build a structure that will set the club up for success.”

Former AC Milan superstar Olivier Giroud arrives at LAFC

Former AC Milan star Olivier Giroud has officially arrived in Los Angeles, bringing him closer to his LAFC debut, potentially as soon as the Leagues Cup knockout stages.  “Hi guys. Happy to be in LA and I can’t wait to see you,” Giroud told supporters in a club video. Giroud signed with LAFC on May 14, reuniting him with his longtime France teammate Hugo Lloris. He signed a Designated Player contract through 2025 with an option for 2026, joining as a free agent from Italian Serie A side AC Milan.  At club level, Giroud has 286 goals in 718 games spanning Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea and more. He has won 13 trophies, highlighted by the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2021 UEFA Champions League.  Olivier is the all-time leading scorer for France with 57 goals and has played 137 times for Les Blues, trailing only Lilian Thuram and Lloris in the record books.  Now, all eyes are on when manager Steve Cherundolo can formally introduce him. He will play alongside Denis Bouanga and Mateusz Bogusz in the final third, in an attempt to bring LAFC to a third straight MLS Cup appearance.

Inter Miami begin Leagues Cup title defense: “Our obligation is to work”

Inter Miami got their Leagues Cup title defense off to a quick start on Saturday night, thanks to a 2-0 victory over Club Puebla at Chase Stadium. Although the result was the same; a victory over a LIGA MX opponent, it was in contrast to Miami’s first Leagues Cup match a year ago. On that day, Lionel Messi made his debut and scored a dramatic free-kick winner against Cruz Azul. Messi finished as the leading scorer for the tournament, leading Miami to the title through a penalty-kick shootout over Nashville SC. It was their first trophy. This year, Messi observed from the sidelines while nursing an ankle injury he suffered in the Copa América final. The setback could keep him absent for most, if not all, of Inter Miami’s Leagues Cup run. However, Messi enjoyed another spectacular performance from a team that keeps winning without the best player in the world. “We have the obligation of fighting for both tournaments [MLS Cup and Leagues Cup],” head coach Tata Martino said in Spanish after the match. “But that’s not because we won Leagues Cup last season, but because these tournaments are not played at the same time. … There’s no need for us to choose between one or the other.” Inter Miami competed in the Leagues Cup as leaders for the Supporters’ Shield race, five points ahead of FC Cincinnati. With impressive depth, they push for silverware in multiple competitions.  Matias Rojas helped Miami begin their feat with a powerful left-footed strike against Puebla. Before Luis Suárez capped them by tapping in a wonderful service from former Barcelona teammate Jodi Alba. Julian Gresse delivered a sublime pass opening the sequence on the latter goal. “We are a team that goes out to the pitch and establishes things during the first minutes of the game, that’s important to start winning,” Suárez told reporters after the match. “Puebla found themselves in a difficult situation, being down on the scoreboard. And we could finish it during the second half.” In the match with Club Puebla, David Martinez made his debut at center back after joining Inter Miami on loan from Argentine giant River Plate. While goalkeeper CJ dos Santos made two saves to earn Miami its clean sheet, with Santos substituting for Drake Callender. “We have two very good goalkeepers and this was a very good opportunity to give CJ a chance,” Martino said. “Now, our point of view of this tournament is different from the point of view we had a year ago. A year ago we were amongst the last in the league, but now we are in first place. We don’t find the need to take further precautions. We played a week ago, and we’ll play again in a week’s time. This is a very demanding tournament that wears off players a lot.” Inter Miami will face Tigers UNAL next on August 3rd, as they play for a spot in the knockout stage. The match will hold at NRG Stadium in Houston (8 pm ET | MLS Season Pass). “Inter have already won this, they have the experience,” Suárez said. “This is a matter of fighting until the end. Some like this, some may not, but we need to get used to it. Our obligation is to work.”
