Rayo Vallecano vs Osasuna: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Osasuna will travel to Campo de Futbol de Vallecas this Friday to face Madrid-based Rayo Vallecano in the 29th Round of the 22022/23 La Liga season.  The hosts are looking to get back their quest for a top six finish after a poor run of form that has left them eight points behind Real Betis. After eyeing European qualification earlier this term, Vallecano have lost their way and are now eight La Liga games without a win (D5, L3) following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Atlético Madrid.  However, they remain ten points clear of the relegation zone in a relatively comfortable mid-table position. Moreover, that derby defeat was also their first loss in five home matches (W1, D3). So staying calm could serve them well although they can’t relax too much having only won one of the last four H2Hs here (D1, L2) including a 3-0 defeat last season.  Read more: Spezia vs Lazio: Preview and Expert Football Prediction The hosts have won only once this term against sides currently above them in the standings (D1, L3) so Osasuna will fancy their chances here.  The visitors’ 2-1 win over Elche last time out means they sit in eighth position, one point ahead of their hosts. However, to continue an upward push to the top six, they must build on their current record of one La Liga away win in eight attempts (D5, L2) with them failing to score in three of the last four of those fixtures. Meanwhile, Osasuna haven’t netted before half-time in any of their last seven fixtures (W2, D3, L2). So we can expect a cagey affair in this game, with under 2.5 goals expected here.  Click here to get accurate football predictions.

Barcelona vs Girona: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Barcelona will welcome fellow Catalan side Girona to Camp Nou on Monday for the 28th Round of the 2022/23 La Liga season. The league leaders will be hoping to bounce from their astonishing El Clasico defeat in midweek when they host Girona, having suffered a 4-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-final. They won the first leg at Santiago Bernabeu 1-0 but were blown away in the second leg by Carlo Ancelotti’s men, who became the first Spanish team to score more than two goals in a single game at Camp Nou this season.  Head Coach Xavi Hernadez will be desperate for his side to perform well on Monday as they target a solid finish to their La Liga campaign. Having been kicked out of every competition this season, winning the league has become Barca’s only priority.   Read more: Lorient vs Marseille: Preview and Expert Football Prediction They hold a massive 12-point lead at the top of the table ahead of this weekend’s games, but Xavi has insisted that there are “11 finals left.” He will hope that his men will win the first of those finals against their Catalan rivals Girona on Monday.  The visitors have enjoyed a superb season by their own standards, with their attractive brand of football getting them as much attention as their esteemed neighbours. Girona’s average of 3.11 goals per game is the best in La Liga, while only the top-three clubs have scored more than their 42 goals this season.  Despite this, they aren’t completely clear of relegation, given that they are only seven points above the bottom three coming into this match. Nevertheless, manager Michel will hope his side can continue to pick up points, including in this game against a Barcelona side that has conceded only two goals at home this entire league campaign (W11, D2). Girona’s recent away from might give their supporters some hope that their team can get something from this tie, while the 14 goals featured in their last three away games will provide neutrals with the belief that another entertaining game will be witnessed at Camp Nou on Monday night.  That said, Barca’s clean sheet record at home in the league suggests that an under 2.5 goals bet will be the best prediction for this game.

Rayo Vallecano vs Atletico Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Atletico Madrid will travel to Madrid this Sunday to face Rayo Vallecano in the 28th round of the 2022/23 La Liga season. The hosts find themselves higher in the La Liga standings than they did before their previous meeting with Atlético Madrid despite suffering the longest active winless streak of the competition (D5, L2).  They come into this game sitting in ninth position, so it’s certainly not too late to give up on their dreams of European football yet. If Real Madrid wins the Copa del Rey final, it will send the seventh-placed team into the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Europa Conference League, so there is still a chance for a European adventure next season. Read more: Leeds United vs Crystal Palace: Preview and Expert Football Prediction They have proven that they can frustrate top teams in the league,  with their 1-1 draw with Atlético at the Metropolitano in October, alongside a draw at Camp Nou (0-0) and win at home to Real Madrid (3-2), enough reminders that on their day they can compete with the league’s best.  Atletico Madrid will look to keep their place in the top four of La Liga when they travel to Campo de Futbol de Vallecas on Sunday. The visitors are primed to continue their ten years without a loss to Vallecano in any competition (W11, D3) after three consecutive La Liga wins ‘to nil’ gave them plenty of breathing space in third place. They have a nine-point buffer inside the Champions League qualification slots going into the round. They will fancy their chances of winning here, having won ten of the last 13 competitive games between both sides (D3). Click here to get expert football predictions.

Sevilla vs Celta Vigo: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Celta Vigo will travel to Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán this Friday to face Sevilla in the 28th Round of the 2022/23 La Liga season.  Sevilla will hope to make it two wins in two games under new manager José Luis Mendilibar when they host Vigo in this game. Mendilibar took over from former boss Jorge Sampaoli last month and became Sevilla’s third permanent manager this season, given that current Wolves coach Julen Loptegui began the season for the hosts.  The new coach will hope that he can steer his side towards a consistent push for a top-half finish–a feat his predecessors couldn’t achieve. His side come into this tie sitting in 13th position, thanks to a 2-0 away win last time.  Read more: AC Milan vs Empoli: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  The result was Sevilla’s first clean sheet in five league games and moved them four points from 19th-placed Almeria ahead of this round of matches. So, they will know they aren’t clear of danger yet and will be desperate to continue their positive start to life under their new coach.  They will fancy their chances here because they have not lost to Celta Vigo in their last five head-to-heads. However, Celta Vigo are a team in solid form, having not lost in their last six league games (W3, D3). Like Sevilla, they also had a change of manager this season, with former Eduardo Coudet replaced by Carlos Carvalhal in November. But unlike their hosts, Celta has enjoyed a positive turn of events under their new manager. Carvalhal took over when Celta Vigo was sitting in 16th position, but he guided the team into the top half, just two points behind the top seven places. Therefore, they should be confident of taking a point home from Seville just as they did last season (2-2), especially after conceding just one half-time lead from their last ten La Liga games. However, they have not recorded a win away at Sevilla since a 2-1 win in September 2015 and have not defeated a Mendilibar-led side in five attempts (D3, L2). Valencia vs Rayo Vallecano: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Valencia will welcome Rayo Vallecano Estadio de Mestalla on Monday in the 27th Round of the 2022/23 La Liga season.  Before the season started, the hosts were one of the clubs expected to compete for the top six places after a strong pre-season. However, after 26 rounds of league games, Valencia are deeply rooted in the La Liga bottom three, having lost 14 league games already this season (W7, D5).  So they come into this tie desperate to get a win and pull out of the red line. They will fancy their chances of doing so at home, where they have enjoyed some positive results recently.  Read more: Everton vs Tottenham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Meanwhile, new manager Rubén Baraja kickstarted Valencia’s desperate fight for survival by toppling two then-top-half clubs (Sociedad and Osasuna) by 1-0 margins in his first two La Liga home assignments. That has helped them build momentum ahead of a trio of La Liga games against relegation rivals to follow this match. Baraja was also buoyed by the return of three previously injured first-team players during the international break.  Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano have outperformed clubs better than them this season and have defied the odds placed on them. The visitors were among the six clubs expected to battle for relegation this season. However, they are currently in the running for a top-six finish. They come into this tie sitting in eighth position, eight points behind sixth-placed Villarreal.  Yet, a run of six games without a win ahead of this game (D4, L2) threatens to undo all the work they have put in this season. To achieve that, they have to sort their finishing after failing to score in their last two La Liga away trips, which followed a streak of ten consecutive La Liga away games in which they found the net. Atlético Madrid vs Real Betis: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The La Liga top-four battle continues this weekend as Atletico Madrid battle Real Betis for three points at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. The hosts are in command of the race behind Barcelona and Real Madrid, having taken at least three more points than the chasing pack.  They will open up a nine-point cushion inside La Liga’s top-four if they can notch up a fourth successive win against fellow Champions League hopefuls Real Betis.  Read more: Napoli vs AC Milan: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Diego Simeone has never failed to lead the Rojiblancos there in ten previous full seasons at the helm, and with just one loss in 12 La Liga games, their place amongst Europe’s elite looks safe once again. With the Argentine’s charges also netting nine goals across their last two home matches alone, it isn’t easy to see past yet another win for them.  Real Betis will be desperate to make it two wins in two games when they travel to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Sunday. The visitors beat Mallorca 1-0 just before the international break to ensure they remained in the top-four race. The win ended a run of four games without a win for the Verdiblancos, who are now free from Europa League distractions, having been eased out by Manchester United just before the international break. With that behind them, the focus will be on getting into the top four. With  Betis going unbeaten in four La Liga road trips ahead of kick-off (W3, D1), they will fancy their chances of getting a result in the capital. However, Betis’ appalling record against squads led by Diego Simeone (W1, D5, L16) is hard to ignore. Much of that can be attributed to nine blanks across Betis’ ten prior away H2Hs against Atlético in the Simeone era, hinting at an unhappy start to April. Click here for 100 Percent winning tips.

Mallorca vs Osasuna: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

La Liga returns this weekend as top six hopefuls Osasuna will travel to Palma de Mallorca this Friday to face Real Mallorca in the 27th Round of the La Liga season. Real Mallorca are one of the eight teams dreaming of a place in the top seven of La Liga this season. The hosts have taken 32 points from their opening 26 games of the season, leaving them in eleventh position after 26 rounds of matches, nine points behind sixth-placed Villarreal. However, they could have been inside the top half, but not for a poor run of results just before the international break. Javier Aguirre went into the break on a run of four games without a win in La Liga (D1, L3). Aguirre’s job to turn the hosts’ poor run of form must start with fixing a leaky defence that has not kept a clean sheet in their last consecutive La Liga games (W1, D1, L4). Read more: Scotland vs Spain: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  They also have to fix their goalscoring, with Mallorca the joint-lowest-scoring side in the top eleven of La Liga with 22 goals. The other team with 22 goals in the top eleven is Osasuna, who come into this tie without a goal in their last three games. Like their hosts, the visitors went into the international break poorly, having lost two of their last three La Liga games (D1). However, Jagoba Arrasate admitted after their last outing that “we have to disconnect, recharge our batteries, clear our minds and work to return to being.  Having enjoyed two weeks of uninterrupted break and with most of his stars not called up for their national teams, Arrasate will hope that his well-rested stars will come back refreshed to navigate this last lap of games successfully and to get the most from their gruelling run of three games in nine days, including a cut-throat Copa del Rey semi-final tie with Athletic Bilbao.Click here to get the football best predictions today.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Fresh from qualifying for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals, Real Madrid will turn their attention to La Liga, where they face Barcelona in the 253rd of the El Clasico. Unlike the visitors, Barcelona didn’t participate in any games in midweek, so they will come into this game fresher. Their last outing was a 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao away from home, taking their points tally for the season to 65 points. That is nine more than their closest rivals Real Madrid, who come into this tie desperate for a win to ensure the Catalan side do not go into the international break with a near-impregnable 12-point lead with 12 La Liga matches left. Read more: Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: Preview and Expert Football Prediction But given their form at home in La Liga, Barca will win this game. Barca are unbeaten in 12 home league games (W10, D2) this campaign, which is their best-undefeated start at home at this stage since 2019/20. Real Madrid might be unbeaten in their last five league games (W3, D2), but two draws in their last three have put them in a difficult position ahead of the last dozen league games. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are now playing catch-up in the race for the title and will be desperate to win in Camp Nou and avenge their last two defeats to Barca in the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.  The good thing, though, is that Los Blancos have won their last two away H2Hs and could make it the second time in history that they’ve won three straight such trips.  Click here to get the best soccer predictions today.

Girona vs Atletico Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Atlético Madrid will continue their quest for a top-four finish on Monday when they travel to Estadio Municipal de Montilivi to face Girona. Girona are fighting for their lives in La Liga after suffering ten losses this season (W8, D6) and gathering 30 points. Their points tally has taken them to 12th position, five points ahead of the relegation zone. But their chances of survival took a big hit last weekend when they were narrowly beaten by Getafe (3-2 loss). That result to their fellow relegation strugglers ended a run of two consecutive wins for Míchel’s side.  Read more: Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Yet, they will be in a good mood heading into this tie at home as they have lost only once in their last eight home matches (W4, D3). However, they have a poor record against Atletico Madrid and are winless in seven meetings with Atletico Madrid, losing the last two by a combined 4-1 scoreline. The visitors will fancy their chances of getting maximum points here, given their form. Diego Simeone’s men come into this tie on the back of a 6-1 win over Sevilla, stretching their unbeaten La Liga run to eight matches (W5, D3).  That result gave them command of their top four destiny, with the visitors now securely in third place ahead of this round. Considering Atlético have amassed marginally more points on the road this season (24 away vs 21 at home), they will travel to Girona in a buoyant mood. Being asked to conclude this round of La Liga fixtures only serves to sweeten the deal, too, given Atlético have lost only one of their last six away league fixtures played on a Monday (W3, D2).Meanwhile, an over 2.5 goals game is the best prediction for this game, given that the last three games featuring Girona have witnessed a mammoth 18 goals.

Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Barcelona will travel to Estadio San Mamés this Sunday to face Athletic Bilbao in the 25th round of the 2022/23 La Liga season. The hosts come into this tie in bad shape, looking to end a four-game winless run in all competitions. Their last outing resulted in a goalless draw with Rayo Vallecano. The result left them in ninth position, four points behind the top six. They will be desperate for a win to stay in the top-six race. However, Athletic’s recent seven-game competitive home form (W4, D1, L2) suggests San Mamés is hardly a fortress, so it could be another poor afternoon for Ernesto Valverde’s side. Read more: Fulham vs Arsenal: Preview and Expert Football Prediction But the Basque side keeping their Catalan visitors at bay in three of their last four La Liga H2Hs here (W1, D2, L1), they may relish this challenge. After recording a 1-0 win over Valencia last weekend, Barca are nine points ahead of Real Madrid in the La Liga title race. The win over Valencia last weekend took their clean sheet tally to 18 in La Liga, the most in this century by a single club in any top-five European league after 24 games. Not even the ‘Negreira corruption case’, threatening to derail the club, looks likely to stop their imminent title win unless they capitulate very severely between now and May. Coach Xavi will be desperate to avoid that, especially as the El Clásico follows this trip. A defeat here could potentially see them start that game with just a six-point gap from Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Bilbao manager Valverde has lost his last eight La Liga matches against Barça, with his teams firing five consecutive scoring blanks, so another under 2.5 goals match could follow here.
