Tottenham vs AC Milan: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Tottenham and AC Milan will face off in North London this Wednesday for the second leg of their Champions League knockout tie. Tottenham lost 1-0 in the first leg at the San Siro, with an early goal by Brahim Díaz the difference on the night. But, unfortunately, it was by the same scoreline that the hosts fell to defeat in Premier League action at the weekend, too, going down against relegation-battling Wolves. The latest result has put their chances of finishing in the Premier League top four in jeopardy, with perennial top four chasers Liverpool just three points behind with a game in hand. Read more: Tottenham vs AC Milan: Preview and Expert Football Prediction So, though highly unlikely, winning this competition is becoming increasingly for Spurs, who are seeking to overturn a first-leg deficit for the third time in four such instances in European competition. The return of manager Antonio Conte to the dugout after a brief spell on the sidelines could be the best omen of all for Tottenham, given the Italian boss has won five of his last six managerial home games against Milan in all competitions. Like their hosts, AC Milan suffered a similarly poor domestic result at the weekend, going down 2-1 against Fiorentina. As a result, they have lost ground in the race for second in Serie A, with their away form much to blame for their failed title defence this season.  Things could worsen in North London as the visitors have a poor record against Premier League teams. The San Siro side have five defeats from their last six two-legged knockout ties against English opposition. Stefano Pioli’s men have also lost by an aggregate 9-1 score on their previous three visits to the English capital in European competition. So, they must do better than their previous visits to England to secure their first UCL quarter-final appearance in 11 years. But, with 37 wins out of 43 UEFA competition ties in which they won the first leg at home, Pioli’s side should have some belief. Click here to get the correct score tomorrow.

Bayern Munich vs PSG: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Bayern Munich will welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Allianz Arena this Wednesday as both sides battle for a place in the quarter-finals round of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League season. The Bavarians hold a slender advantage going into this second leg after a 1-0 win in Paris a fortnight ago. The win forms part of a run of five wins from their last six competitive games (L1). After reclaiming the top spot in the Bundesliga race thanks to a 2-1 win over Stuggart at the weekend, confidence should be high heading into this clash. Read more: Chelsea vs Borussia Dortmund: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Meanwhile, the Bavarians have been impressive on the European stage this season, with an unblemished seven wins from as many UCL games this term representing their best showing at this stage since lifting the trophy back in 2019/20, when they defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the final. However, Julian Nagelsmann’s side can’t rest on their laurels, though, with a perfectly split head-to-head record against PSG (W6, L6) indicating this tie is far from over. Paris Saint-Germain made it three wins in a row last weekend when they beat Nantes 4-2. The win showed that their recent wobble is now truly behind them, while the four goals they scored in the game made it three consecutive games they have scored 3+ goals. And so, they will travel to Munich in a confident mood. They can take heart from their impressive return of five progressions from six overall knockout ties against German opponents. However, Christophe Galtier’s men have been eliminated in four of their last six round-of-16 ties. Moreover, they have only come back from a first-leg deficit to progress once in 19 such UCL ties, although that was against German opposition Borussia Dortmund in 2019/20. Benfica vs Club Brugge: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The Champions League returns this Tuesday with high-flying Portuguese side Benfica hosting Club Brugge in the second leg of the knockout round. The hosts have one foot in the next round after a 2-0 win over their visitors in the first leg of this tie. Since that win in Belgium, the Primeira Liga leaders have won three successive league games by a two-goal margin. So confidence should be sky-high as they aim for a second straight UCL quarter-final appearance. The Eagles haven’t lost a UCL game since their quarter-final home leg loss against Liverpool last April (W9, D3). Read more: Osasuna vs Celta Vigo: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Only PSG held Benfica to a draw at home during that run (W4), and since May, they have not lost a competitive home fixture (W16, D2). So they will be confident of getting through here, with a draw enough to see them through. Club Brugge are up against an uphill task here, as Benfica have never lost to a Belgium side (W8, D2). The visitors travel to Portugal in poor form, as a run of one win in their last six fixtures (D3, L2) leaves them fourth in Belgium’s First Division.  Even more worrying is a lack of goals, as they haven’t scored more than twice in one game – which they must do here to win without penalties – since October 29th.  So given that Benfica have won 20 out of 21 previous European ties in which they won the first leg away from home (L1), we can expect a direct win for the hosts here. Chelsea vs Borussia Dortmund: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Borussia Dortmund will look to advance to the next round of the Champions League when they travel to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday for the second leg of the knockout round. The Blues are looking to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit after falling to a narrow defeat in Germany courtesy of a goal by Karim Adeyemi. The loss formed part of a recent run of three consecutive defeats for Graham Potter’s side. But that run ended at the weekend as they secured a 1-0 home win over struggling Leeds United in the Premier League. The result also ended a run of six games without a win for Chelsea, who will now hope to make it back-to-back competitive wins for the first time since October. Read more: Brentford vs Fulham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction However, it will be tough to do so against this high-flying Borussia Dortmund side, who come into this fixture on a run of ten consecutive wins. The German Bundesliga side are arguably the most in-form team in Europe in 2023, having won all their games this year by a combined total of 26-8 while keeping four clean sheets. After struggling early in the season, they have rekindled their season and now sit level on points with Bayern Munich at the top of the league table. In the Champions League, they are unbeaten in their last five games (W2, D3) and even held Manchester City to a draw in that period. Edin Terzić will be hoping for more of the same from his boys as they try to advance to the quarter-final stage of the UCL for the fifth time in their history. Inter Milan vs Porto: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Inter Milan will begin their latest attempt to progress beyond the UEFA Champions League last 16 for the first time since 2010/11 when they welcome FC Porto to San Siro on Wednesday. The Italian giants qualified for this round of the tournament by finishing second in their group after three games, including a famous win over Barcelona and losing two (D1). They come into this fixture in good form after a five-match unbeaten run in all competitions (W4, D1).  They have lost just one of their last 12 competitive home games (W11), suggesting Simon Inzaghi’s boys could take charge of the tie at the San Siro, where the last seven UCL matches they’ve hosted were won by the side scoring first (Inter: W4, L3). Read more: Porto booked their place in this round of the UCL by finishing top of their group. After starting poorly with two losses in the group stages, the Portuguese side went on a four-game winning run to secure the top spot and book their place here. They have maintained their form ahead of this game as they have won their last ten competitive matches and are unbeaten since late October (W19, D3). Six clean sheets across their last seven competitive away games (W6, D1) also show how tough they are to break down. So we can expect a low-scoring affair here with a high chance of an under 2.5 goals game.

RB Leipzig vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Manchester City will travel to Germany this Wednesday to take on RB Leipzig in the first leg of the knockout round of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League season. RB Leipzig finished second in their group to qualify for this round, winning four games, including a 3-2 win over defending champions Real Madrid.  That win over Los Blancos formed part of a four-game winning run for Die Bulen after they lost their first two group-stage games. So they will come into this fixture confident, especially as they have lost just once in 20 games (W15, D4). Manchester City come into this tie on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. The result saw them drop two points behind league leaders Arsenal despite having played a game more.  Read more: Liverpool vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction They turn their attention to the UCL, though, where they are still unbeaten this season (W4, D2). Overall, their UCL record on the road is one to be admired, losing just five of their last 26 European away games (W15, D6).  However, their form away from the Etihad in recent weeks does raise a few eyebrows. It potentially hints at an upset, with the weekend’s draw against Forest leaving City with just one win from their last five competitive away matches (D1, L3). That said, we can expect an entertaining game at the Red Bull Arena, given that both sides always find a way to score goals. So, a ‘both teams to score/GG‘ prediction will be the best prediction for this game.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Napoli: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

High-flying Napoli will travel to Germany this Tuesday to face Europa League defending champions Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the knockout round of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League season. The German side qualified for this tournament stage by narrowly finishing second in Group D, one point behind Tottenham. They recorded three wins in their group (D1, L2) while scoring seven goals and conceding eight. Read more: Torino vs Cremenose: Preview and Expert Football Prediction They come into this game on the back of a  2-0 win over Werder Bremen at the weekend, which kept them close to the Bundesliga top four. Head coach Oliver Glasner was able to rest some key players with this game in mind, so he will be desperate for his big hitters to make the difference in this fixture. Haven suffered just four defeats across their last 30 European home games (W17, D9, L4), plus a respectable record against Italian opponents on the European stage (W6, D3, L2); Frankfurt will be confident going into this game. However, Napoli is not a soft side. On the contrary, the Italian side are one of the most in-form teams in Europe at the moment. They will travel to Deutsche Bank Park in supreme confidence after three straight wins, with clean sheets and 2+ goal margins that have left them 15 points clear at the top of Serie A.  The visitors scored the highest goals in the  Champions League group stage (G20) and can be backed to at least find the net in Germany. However, despite their form, victory here would go down in history as only their second on German soil at the tenth attempt (W1, D3, L5). Meanwhile, all six of Napoli’s previous Champions League round of 16 games (W1, D1, L4) have seen both teams score. So we can expect goals from both teams here.

Liverpool vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Six-time UEFA Champions League winners Liverpool will welcome current holders and 14-time champions Real Madrid to Anfield this Tuesday for the first leg of the round of 16 tie. The struggling Reds qualified for this tournament round after narrowly finishing second in Group A behind a rampant Napoli side. They recorded five wins in six UCL group stage outings, scoring 17 times and conceding six goals. So, despite their poor performance in domestic competitions this season, they have maintained their high standards in Europe. However, things have been better recently, with back-to-back 2-0 wins in league action against Everton and Newcastle, moving them closer to the top four in the Premier League table. But this fixture hasn’t always gone Liverpool’s way in recent times. Jurgen Klopp’s men are winless against their Spanish counterparts in the last six H2Hs (D1, L5). However, they are always strong at Anfield, where they have lost only one of their last 23 home games (W16, D6). Read more: Getafe vs Valencia: Preview and Expert Football Prediction But Real Madrid wouldn’t care about Anfield and its famed atmosphere as they have the psychological advantage in this fixture. Los Blancos beat Liverpool to win the trophy last season despite playing worse than the Reds. They qualified for this tie by finishing top of Group F, with four wins, one draw and one loss, while scoring 15 times and conceding six. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are in good form, too,  as they have won each of their last four fixtures with a mammoth 15 goals amassed in that time. So, they will fancy their chances here even though they have won only once in their last seven UCL visits to England (D2, L4). That said, we can expect an under 2.5 goals outing in this fixture, given how cagey things can get when both sides meet.

Borussia Dortmund vs Chelsea: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Chelsea will travel to Signal Iduna Park this Wednesday to face Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the 2022/23 round of 16. The hosts come into this tie on the back of an impressive 2-0 win over Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga. The win was their sixth consecutive win in all competitive games after the restart, with each of those games seeing them score at least twice each occasion. Their results, plus a patchy run of form by Bayern Munich, has seen the Black and Yellow move to within three points of the top spot in the Bundesliga. So they will welcome Chelsea to this tie full of confidence yet desperate to improve on a winless record from their last 12 games against British clubs (D3, L9). Read more: PSG vs Bayern Munich: Preview and Expert Football Prediction However, Chelsea will travel to Germany in patchy form, having won just once in their last eight outings in 2023 (D4, L3). Despite being richly loaded in attack, they also failed to score more than once in any of those games. With the pressure mounting on manager Graham Potter, there is a feeling that his performance in the UCL could determine, to a large extent, how long he will last in Stamford Bridge this season. However, the manager has a good European record as he won his first four UCL games and could become the first English manager to win five consecutive UCL matches.   However, overall, Chelsea’s record in the UCL round-of-16 remains patchy, as they have progressed from this stage of the competition just twice in their last six attempts. Given Dortmund’s form at home, this will be another tough outing for Chelsea, and this game will likely feature goals from both teams. Click here for the best BTTS/GG bets.

AC Milan vs Tottenham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

AC Milan will welcome Tottenham to the San Siro this Tuesday for their first leg of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League round of 16.  Both teams qualified for this tournament round despite winning three group games out of six. AC Milan finished second in their group behind Chelsea, while Tottenham won their group. The hosts, who qualified for this round of the tournament for the first time in nine seasons, have some ongoing concerns about a potential lack of presence in Europe in 2023/24 due to their domestic form. Read more: Sampdoria vs Inter Milan: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  But they ended their seven-game winless run (D2, L5) across all competitions with a 1-0 Serie A victory against Torino last Friday. So they will welcome Tottenham to San Siro in better shape. Meanwhile, the visitors come into this tie in bad shape after they were beaten in the Premier League by Leicester City (4-1). The result ended a run of three straight wins for Spurs and kept them outside the top four in the Premier League. They travel to San Siro looking for a repeat of their performance here when they secured a 1-0 win in this fixture to qualify for the next round. However, they have a poor record away from home in the UCL, with their 2-1 win over Marseille in their last UCL away game just their fourth in 14 Champions League away trips (D5, L5). That said, given both sides’ patchy form, this game could go either way, with a goalless draw or a high-scoring affair possible.  Click here to get the best Under 2.5 goals, and over 2.5 goals bet.
