Melbourne City vs Western Sydney Wanderers MatchPlug Match Preview Soccer Prediction and Betting Tips

Melbourne City would be looking to get back to winning ways after back to back matches without a win. The host were on a good run of form before playing two matchdays back as they had won 4 of 5 games. However, they were beaten by South Coast Mariners on the 16th and were held to a draw by Perth Glory the last timeout. They offered very little going forward  in their game against Glory and Warren Joyce would be hoping for a better performance from his players in this game. Western Sydney Wanderers are on an awful run of form ahead of this game as they have lost six of their last seven games and come here on a run of five consecutive defeats. This terrible run of form has seen them collect just 9 points from 14 games this season and their fans would only hope that they can keep things tighter at the back for this game as they have conceded 15 goals in their last 6 games. They are currently third from bottom on the league table, while Melbourne City are 9 points off the top of the league table and would be looking to get a win here to help them close the gap.

Adelaide United vs Sydney FC MatchPlug Match Preview Soccer Prediction and Betting Tips

Adelaide had a great season the last time as a marked improvement from the previous campaign saw them end the season in a playoff place and the 5th position overall. However, they have lost a couple of players in the summer with Daniel Adlung and Johan Absalonsen who were their biggest attacking threats last season all leaving them ahead of this campaign. With those major absentees, it looks like it would be another tough season for them. They would be looking at the duo of Ken Ilso and Mirk Boland to make up for the loss of their two big stars, but starting your season against the team that has won the last two titles might be too much to deal with. Sydney FC won the top division last season after an impressive campaign that ended with a 14 points gap over second-placed Newcastle Jets. However, they did lose their top scorer over the past two seasons as Devison Bobo who scored 27 goals last season as he left them to return to the Turkish top flight. They have also replaced the very successful Graham Arnold with rookie manager Steve Corica, and it would be interesting to see how long the team gets adjusted to these changes. Sydney FC have won five and drawn one of their last six meetings with Adelaide United, last falling to defeat in April 2016.
