Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund Match Preview, Football Prediction and Betting Tips

Bayern were expected to win the Bundesliga in the last round of matches, but some poor defending saw them lost to RB Leipzig and delay their title celebration. However, they do have a chance to win the title with maximum points here if Freiburg avoids a defeat at Schalke. If they win here it would also mean they have beaten BVB three times in a single season for the very first time. One star man for this game in Robert Lewandoski. The Pole left BVB in the summer of 2014 and he has developed into one of the world’s deadliest strikers. He has netted 7 times against his former employer and has 23 Bundesliga goals already this season. Bayern Munich are the form favourites ahead of this game, however, Peter Stoeger is yet to lose a league game as BVB manager and he could mastermind a win here. Bayern have 4 wins in their last 5 meetings with BVB including the last two times they have met this season, would this be a third time lucky for them or can Michy Batshuayi fire BVB to a win a delay Bayern’s title triumph again? Bayern have won 11 of their 13 league games at home this season and over 2.5 goals were netted in 77% of those games.

Sevilla FC vs Barcelona Match Preview, Match Prediction and Betting Tips

With Champions League commitments on their mind, Vincenzo Montella and Ernesto Valverde could spring some surprise changes in this game, but both of these teams would need the maximum points. Sevilla have earned a lot of plaudits for their exploits in the Champions League, but the Seville based side have been struggling in the league since they named Vincenzo Montella as their new manager. They are risking a third straight defeat if they fail to win here, and they have 8 losses from their last 15 games. They have just two wins from their last 7 home games, with three losses from their last six home games under Montella. Barcelona would be delighted that Argentina decided against using Lionel Messi in the last international break and Ernesto Valverde may also feel he does not really have to make changes as they don’t play in the Champions League until Wednesday. Messi has netted in his last 6 games for Barca and should score here, while the Catalans have won 4 of their last 6 visits to Sevilla and all of their last 5 meetings together. Sevilla have also conceded at least once in their last 14 home league games ahead of this match.

Jose Mourinho willing to pay £52.5million for this Michael Carrick replacement

Jose Mourinho has set his sight on signing some new midfielders next summer as the Red Devils face a mass exodus of their midfield players. Marouane Fellaini, and Ander Herrera are looking to change clubs while Michael Carrick is retiring at the end of the season. These departures would leave Mourinho with a very thin midfield and the Portuguese boss wants to do something about that. According to Sun Sport, Mourinho is prepared to pay £52.5million for Bayern Munich’s midfielder, Arturo Vidal. Vidal is a target of many Premier League teams and he is likely going to leave the Bavarians at the end of the season, as the Germans have already completed the capture of Leon Goretzka whom they expected to start playing immediately. Vidal is only one of a few midfielders that are attracting the attention of Jose Mourinho, with Fabiano of Monaco and Fred of Shakhtar Donetsk firmly in his sight also. Despite being 30 years of age already, Vidal who joined Bayern for £32million in the summer of 2015 would not be allowed to leave on a cheap, but Mourinho is prepared to pay as much as they want to get his man.

Middlesbrough vs Wolverhampton Match Preview, Match Prediction and Betting Tips

This game is the biggest fixture of the weekend in the Championship as two teams with Premier League ambitions meet each other. Wolves should have been under pressure to deliver here, but with over 10 points separating them from 3rd placed Fulham, they would feel they can lose here and be forgiven. Middlesbrough are the team under pressure as they are 6th on the league table but have just 1 point more than Bristol City and two teams could leapfrog them by Monday if they fail to get the maximum points here. Boro have taken 14 points from their last 6 games and they are gradually becoming a team that can get promotion back to the Premier League even if it is through the playoffs. They are strong at home and come into this game with 4 wins from their last 4 games. Wolves have been struggling away from home recently and their 4-1 hammering at Aston Villa just before the break shows they are a side that can be caught with Fulham also earning a deserved home win against them recently. They have won just 3 of their last 9 away games and they would be looking to get a win here also.

Cardiff vs Burton Albion Match Preview, Football Prediction and Betting Tips

Cardiff City manager, Neil Warnock was understandably enraged when his side’s game against Derby County just before the international break was postponed. That postponement leaves them with a fixture pile-up and some tough games to come also, however, this match should not be one of those tough games with Burton currently fighting for survival. Cardiff have won their last seven league games on the bounce and this game looks a certain victory if they can just keep doing what they have been doing recently. They play some really tough games after this one, however, with 7 points between them and the chasing pack, together with the game they have in hand, they can lose 3 games and still remain second on the league table. Burton are fighting to remain in the Championship beyond this season, and they have a habit of picking some valuable points away from home, however, this doesn’t look like a game they can spring surprises. The Brewers have collected just one point and scored the same number of goals in their last 5 league games. They have also lost 3 of their last 4 league games by a margin of 2 or more goals.

Liverpool could lose Roberto Firmino if Robert Lewandoski leaves Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich would make a move for Roberto Firmino if they lose Robert Lewandoski in the summer, according to Ian Wright. Firmino has been in outstanding form for the Reds this season and he has already netted 23 goals in all competitions. The Brazilian has formed a deadly partnership with the duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and they have been regarded as the deadliest front three in Europe by some sections of the media. Bayern Munich are hoping to hold on to Lewandoski who appears to be keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but should they lose the Polish attacker, Wright believes they would move for Firmino as his replacement. Firmino currently has two years left on his Liverpool contract and he is expected to resume contract talks with the Reds at the end of the season. The Brazilian is also very happy at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp has urged the club to hurriedly tie him down to a new deal as it would be of benefit to both the player and the club. Firmino is set to feature for Brazil at the FIFA World Cup later this year and if he shines,  Liverpool could be in a tough position should they fail to get him to sign a new contract before the competition.

Gabriel Jesus rejects new £90,000-a-week deal from Manchester City

Manchester City attacker, Gabriel Jesus has opened the door for other teams to try and prise him away from the Cityzens by rejecting a new contract offer from the Premier League champions-elect. Jesus has been one of Pep Guardiola’s trusted men since the start of the new season and he has been preferred to Sergio Aguero at times when the Catalan wanted to play with a lone striker. His performances have begun drawing the attention of Europe’s elite teams and the Cityzens want to tie him down until the summer of 2023. However, Jesus who currently earns around £65,000 per week at the Etihad wants more money than he has been offered in the new deal. According to Sun Sport, City are offering him £90,000-a-week until 2023, but he representatives believe his performances and current standing in world football deserves in excess of £100,000-a-week. The report further claims that the Brazilian attacker has decided to abandon talks on a new contract until the end of the season as he wants to concentrate on helping the club on the field. Manchester City fear that a good showing at the World Cup could see them struggle to keep him from the clutches of the top European sides.

Real Madrid abandon their pursuit of Liverpool star in favour of Eden Hazard

Real Madrid would be signing a star from the Premier League at the end of this season, but who that particular player would be has been unclear till now. Los Blancos have been linked with moves for David de Gea, Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard and more recently, Mohamed Salah. The latter has been in fine form for Liverpool this season and he currently tops the goal scorers chart in the Premier League. Zinedine Zidane has even spoken highly of the Egyptian in the past, which has not helped to bring down the rumours that the Egyptian could become a Galactico next season. However, Sun Sport reports that Real Madrid do not see Salah as a Galactico and they have abandon plans of signing him for $250 million next summer. The reports further claim that Los Blancos have instead turned their attention towards Eden Hazard. Hazard has stalled on signing a new Chelsea deal and has just two years left on his current contract, he has, however, repeatedly spoke of his commitment to the Blues even claiming that he would remain committed should Antonio Conte be sacked. Madrid would test Chelsea’s resolve not to sell in the summer with a huge bid and hope that Hazard would try to force the move.

Schedule for World Cup 2018 in Russia FIFA has determined that between 3 to 4 daily matches would be played during the Russia 2018 World Cup, and the cities that would play host to these games include Kazan, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny, Samara, Saint Petersburg, Rostov, Sochi, and Saransk. The Luzhniki stadium in Moscow will play host to the opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia and also the final game of the competition. With consideration of the different time zones, FIFA has plans to show the game at convenient times for all countries, this would make the World Cup 2018 predictions easier and with MatchPlug you can be sure to get the most valuable tips. World Cup 2018 Betting favourites World Cup 2018 betting tips: Brazil Just like in many other FIFA World Cups or age-grade competitions, Brazil is one of the favourites to win the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. At the last competition played on their home turf, the Selecao suffered a shocking 7-1 loss to Germany in the semifinals and they would be eager to correct that wrong this time around. They had a very good qualification campaign and were the first country to qualify for the competition, they also have the star players to win the World Cup, but they would still need to be focused to qualify from the group stage as they face, Serbia, Switzerland and Costa Rica who have different playing styles. Brazil’s strengths Brazil’s major strength is in their attack and if the front three of Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Philippe Coutinho can stay fit, they can beat any team in the world even though their defence is still not perfect yet. Brazil’s weaknesses One weak spot for the Selecao seems to be an over-reliance on Neymar, he missed their game against Germany in the last World Cup and they were humiliated. They also don’t have the strongest defence as the likes of Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Dani Alves and Miranda are all ageing and could struggle to deal with young attackers in this competition. Key Player: Neymar Favourite formation: 4-3-3   World Cup 2018 betting tips: Germany Germany are defending champions and look like they can retain their crown in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. They have consistently performed well in the big competitions and this year they have the perfect blend of youth and experience as the older generation with the likes of Sami Khedira gradually gives way for the likes of Timo Werner and Leroy Sane. They have been drawn in a tough group F with South Korea, Sweden and Mexico, but this won’t be the first time they have been in this situation and they should qualify top of the group no matter how hard it gets. Germany’s strengths Germany’s team is built on some technicality and that makes it so easy for them to get past the toughest opponents even in the most unfriendly environment like the one they faced 4 years ago against Brazil. They have been arguably the world’s best team over the past four years and their game management is very strong. Germany’s weaknesses The Germans lack a world class striker like Neymar or Christiano Ronaldo, and their midfield seems to be too slow for teams who play at a very fast pace. Key Player: Manuel Neuer Favourite formation: 4-2-1-3   World Cup 2018 Betting tips for the group stage The World Cup 2018 group stage draw was made on the 1st of December 2017, since then teams have known who they would play with and should have started making plans on how to stop each of their opponents. Here, we take a look at the individual groups and provide valuable insights that would help you get the perfect 2018 World Cup Predictions. As the start of the competition gets closer, the odds are getting more accurate which would also see them get smaller, that is why we are offering you the best tips now so you can act faster than the bookmakers.   FIFA World Cup 2018 Predictions: Group stage Group A; Favourites: Uruguay and Egypt With over 80,000 fans packed inside the Luzhniki Stadium, the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup would be opening on the 14th of June with the host nation playing against Saudi Arabia. While we expect the Russians to win the opening match, that may be the only victory they secure in the group stage. Uruguay are obvious favourites to win the group judging by the attacking talents of Edison Cavani and Luis Suarez, but we expect the second position to be a straight battle between Egypt and Russia, the Egyptians should either win the Russians or get a draw before earning a better win over Saudi Arabia. Group B; Favourites: Spain and Portugal Group B looks like the first group that it would be hard to predict the winner with both Spain and Portugal closely matched. Interestingly, the two European heavyweights would play each other in the first group match and the outcome could set the tone for other games. With Christiano Ronaldo, Portugal would feel they have a player who can single-handedly change the outcome of their games, however, Andres Iniesta would also be leading a new generation of exciting young players for Spain and they would be no pushovers. Group C; Favourite: France France struggled at some point in the last qualifiers, but they would be looking to have a good tournament after getting a fairly easy draw. Just like the Uruguay and Brazil groups, France seems to be the clear favourites here, but the remaining three teams have an opportunity to join
