When this draw was made, Juve players and their fans would have been delighted that they would finally avenge their loss in last season’s final and maybe match on to win the Champions League finally. However, Christiano Ronaldo had other plans and the former Manchester United star helped Los Blancos to a 3-0 win in Turin, making this return leg a tough one for the Italians. Los Blancos drew their very next game against Atletico Madrid, but with 15 points already separating them from Barcelona, they are now focused on winning the Champions League instead. They have won 11 of their last 13 games in all competitions, losing on only one occasion. Juventus may face an impossible task here, but they are an evidently talented side. They lead the Serie A by 4 points and defeated Benevento 4-2 in their very last game. On the whole, they have tasted victory 17 times out of their last 22 games. They have not had the best of campaigns in the Champions League this season, as they have won just 4 times in their 10 matches so far and lost 3-0 at Barcelona earlier in the season. Real Madrid have three wins, two draws and two losses from their last seven games against the Old Ladies, while Juve have won only once on their last 5 visits to the Bernabeu.

A few months ago it appeared as though Manchester City would win the impressive quadruple under Pep Guardiola. However, things have changed so much that except a miraculous result in this match, the best they can get would be a league and Carabao Cup double. The Reds have not lost any game by more than 1 goal since October last year, and they have won seven of their last ten games, losing just once and scoring 24 goals in that time.

Barcelona would be happy to have the first leg of this game by 4-1 as they play Valencia at the weekend and would not want to over-exert themselves in this game. They needed two own goals to open the scoring at Camp Nou but they would not mind as long as it brought them the win. Roma failed to recover from their loss to Barcelona in the first leg and they went on to lose their very next game 2-0 at home to Fiorentina. They play SS Lazio next after this game and they would be looking to get a good result here to keep their spirit up before that derby. Barcelona won their next match at the weekend 3-1 against Leganes and they would be in the best of spirit especially with Lionel Messi back. They are now unbeaten in their last 19 games since they lost to Espanyol in Copa Del Rey. Barca have not lost a Champions League game since they lost to Juventus last season. Roma have kept four clean sheets at home this season and all but one of their home Champions League games have ended in under 2.5 goals.  Barcelona have also seen less than 2.5 goals scored in all of their away Champions League games this season.
