“I’m not going back to Barca, I’m going to Inter Miami”: Lionel Messi reveals his NEXT destination

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi has confirmed that he will not be heading back to Barcelona but will rather move to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami CF. The Argentine international’s future has been the subject of intense speculation in the last few months as he was approaching the end of his contract at Parc des Princes. His former side Barcelona were one of the clubs keen on signing him, with the Spanish club speaking to La Liga to work out a special arrangement that would bring the attacker back to Camp Nou. Read more: N’Golo Kante CLOSE to Saudi Arabia move Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal also wanted to sign Messi and offered him a ginormous £ 2 billion deal that would have made him the highest-paid athlete in the world. But the 35-year-old has decided to join Inter Miami in a deal that reportedly includes an option for the Argentine to become a part-owner of the MLS side.  In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, he said: “I’m not going back to Barça; I’m going to Inter Miami. “I really wanted [to return to Barcelona], I was very excited to be able to return, but after having experienced what I experienced and the exit I had, I did not want to be in the same situation again: waiting to see what was going to happen and leaving my future in hand from another. “I wanted to make my own decision, thinking about myself, about my family. Although I heard that it was said that LaLiga had accepted everything and that everything was fine for him to return, there were still many other things that had to be done. “I heard that they [Barcelona] had to sell players or lower players’ salaries, and the truth is that I didn’t want to go through that, nor take charge of obtaining something that had to do with all that’. ‘I have already been accused of many things that were not true in my career at Barcelona, and I was already a bit tired; I didn’t want to go through all that. And well, by the time I had to leave, La Liga had also accepted that they signed me up, and in the end, it couldn’t be done.  “Well, I was afraid that the same thing would happen again and I had to go through the bullfight as it happened, that I had to come here to Paris to stay in a hotel for a long time with my family, with my children going to school and still being in the hotel… I wanted to make my own decision, and that’s why it was a bit that I didn’t turn to Barça. Although I would have loved it, I couldn’t.  “I am also in a moment where I want to get out of focus a bit, think more about my family. As I was just saying, I spent two years at a family level that was so bad that I didn’t enjoy it. I had the month that was spectacular for me for having won the World Cup, but removing that was a difficult stage for me.”

Fiorentina vs West Ham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Fiorentina and West Ham United will look to become the 2022/23 Conference League champions when both sides meet at the competition’s final in Fortuna Arena in Prague. After over a dozen games in Europe, both teams have reached the climax and are desperate to land their first European title in over five decades. Winning this trophy isn’t just for the sake of winning for both sides,  as a win here also offers them a route back to European football after they both finished outside of the European qualification positions in their domestic leagues. Fiorentina, who finished eighth in the Serie A, qualified for this stage courtesy of a 4-3 aggregate win over Basel. After losing 2-1 at home in the first leg, the Violets defeated Basel 3-1 in extra time away from home to reach this round. Read more: Aston Villa join the race to sign Youri Tielemans on a free transfer Qualification for this final means they became the first team to reach the final of all four major UEFA competitions. Therefore, their goal now that they are in the final will be to improve their win rate in UEFA finals after lifting a European trophy just once in four prior attempts (W1, L3). Meanwhile, West Ham United have endured a terrible domestic season, finishing in 14th place in the Premier League.  Yet, they have enjoyed their most successful European season in recent years, going unbeaten throughout this European campaign (W13, D1). David Moyes’ men defeated AZ Alkmaar 3-1 on aggregate to book their place in this round, so they should be confident of winning the most important game of this Conference League campaign. But, they cannot afford to carry their league form into this game as they won just two of their final seven league fixtures (L5). If they want to win here and lift a second-ever European title, they must keep their European form and improve on their previous performances against Italian sides. Meanwhile, West Ham have scored an average of 2.25 goals per UECL game this season, while Fiorentina have scored an average of 2.57 goals. So we are expecting over 2.5 goals in this game in Prague.

Kai Havertz MUST extend his  Chelsea contract, or he will be SOLD this summer

Chelsea have asked Kai Harvetz to extend his current deal at the club, or he will be sold this summer. The Blues are putting their foot down over player contracts. This is in line with the policy brought in under new owner Todd Boehly, and they want to see Havertz tied down to a new contract. The German international is a transfer target of Real Madrid, with Los Blancos looking to sign the striker after losing Karim Benzema at the end of the season. Read more: Chelsea set Mateo Kovacic’s asking price amid Manchester City interest The Frenchman announced that he would leave when his current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu expires. He is thought to have received a mage offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, leading him to cut his stay at Madrid by one year. Therefore, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are looking for a replacement and have identified Kai Havertz as an option. Chelsea do not want to sell the German striker as they see him as their main attacking outlet. He scored nine goals to become the club’s top scorer for the season alongside Raheem Sterling. However, according to Sportsmail, the Blues could sanction a sale if the 23-year-old refuses to commit to a new deal at the club. Havertz has two years remaining on the five-year deal he signed when he joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 and now faces a difficult choice ahead of the summer transfer window opening. Should he leave, then he will join the likes of Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, and  Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who are all expected to leave as part of a midfield overhaul.

Napoli vs Sampdoria: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

First meets last in the final game of the 2022/23 season when Napoli meets Sampdoria at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on Sunday. Napoli are in a festive mood after securing the Scudetto a month ago-their first top-flight title since 1989/90. They will be presented with the trophy at the end of this game, so they will be hoping for an accompanying win to commemorate the occasion. However, the hosts have faltered since claiming the title early last month (W2, D1, L1). But with this being his last game as Napoli boss,  departing manager Luciano Spalletti will hope for one last victorious hurrah before a packed Stadio Diego Armando Maradona before taking a well-deserved sabbatical. Read more: Real Madrid vs Athletic: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Napoli will fancy their chances of winning this game h given that they have never lost a home league H2H against rock-bottom and relegated Sampdoria since the turn of the century (W12, D2). The visitors come into this game sitting a whopping 68 points behind the new champions. So it will be a miracle for them to get a win here. Sampdoria’s measly haul of 19 points represents their poorest-ever top-flight showing. This terrible statistic has been influenced by their worst-ever tally of 24 Serie A defeats in a single campaign. They also come into this tie without a win in eleven games (D2, L9), so it seems unlikely they will get a good result here. Click here to get Correct Score prediction.

Real Madrid vs Athletic: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The 2022/23 ends this weekend, with Real Madrid hosting Athletic Bilbao. After missing out on the title to their fierce rivals Barcelona, Real Madrid are now only playing to finish ahead of Atlético Madrid, with both teams competing for second position. After coming back from a one-nil deficit to win their last game against Sevilla 2-1, they need to win here to finish directly behind  Barca. However, they could also finish second even if they lose this game if their city rivals Atlético drop points against Villarreal to secure second place following their 2-1 comeback win over Sevilla last Saturday. Read more: Torino vs Inter Milan: Preview and Expert Football Prediction However, under pressure, manager Carlo Ancelotti will want his side to win and make it five wins in five league games at home. Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao will be desperate to end a run of 15 games without a win against Real Madrid in all competitions (D4, L11). Also, the last time Ernesto Valverde’s side triumphed against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu in Spain’s top flight was ten years (D2, L15 since). So getting three points here is a tall order for the Basque side, who are also winless in their last three away league games (D1, L2).  But given that they are still fighting for a place in Europe next season, they will come into this game desperate to win. The visitors can finish in the top seven and qualify for the Conference League if they can better Osasuna’s result and at least match Girona’s result, with those two sides coincidentally facing each other this weekend.  Meanwhile, Athletic have lost each of their last six La Liga final-day fixtures – and the last five of them ‘to nil’.
