Bucks’ Khris Middleton shoots 11 in season debut vs. Celtics
Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton made his 2024-25 debut on Friday. Middleton missed the team’s first 21 matches while recovering from offseason surgeries to both ankles. He entered the match halfway through the first quarter of the Bucks’ 111-105 loss against the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics. Bucks coach Doc Rivers said the three-time All-Star would be on a minutes restriction. Middleton finished with 11 points (2-10 FGs, 1-3 3PM), three rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal in 23 minutes. “Coming back from this one I wanted to make sure I was all the way ready to come back, be as fresh as I can mentally to be in a good spot because this is a long, grueling season,” Middleton told reporters Friday morning. “I’m going to go through a lot of things during the season, going to get hit, banged up, whatever, to have that mindset that I can still fight through and to keep going.” Khris played in only 33 matches in 2022-23 and 55 matches last campaign due to several injuries. He missed Milwaukee’s final 10 playoff games in 2022 due to a sprained medial collateral ligament.
