Crystal Palace wants to re-sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Crystal Palace is eyeing a loan return for Aaron Wan-Bissaka three seasons after they sold him to Manchester United for a record-breaking fee. The ‘spider-man’ made a name for himself as a tough-tackling right back at Selhurst Park and it made United splash a whopping £50 million on his signature. The defender was a regular in the United team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but he is not as good in attack as he defends. That meant he struggled to play under Ralf Rangnick and Erik Ten Hag is also not a fan of his. We expect the former Ajax manager to opt for the more attacking Diogo Dalot as his first choice right-back. This will come as a major blow for the 24-year-old who was ever-present in the starting XI in his first two seasons. Matchplug understands that he could head back to Palace on loan for this campaign. The Eagles similarly re-signed Wilfried Zaha from United after initially selling the winger to the Red Devils. It remains unclear if Ten Hag will allow him to leave or keep him as a backup to Dalot.

MLS clubs wants Aaron Ramsey

Charlotte FC is prepared to give Aaron Ramsey another chance to play football after his Juventus contract was terminated. The Welsh midfielder had a bad spell in Italy, but he is now a free agent and he needs a new club to keep him fit for the World Cup in Qatar later this year. European clubs know the struggles of the midfielder and they are likely to snub any interest in his signature, which could force him to join Gareth Bale in the MLS. Matchplug understands that The Crown is looking for a popular player to boost their profile in this inaugural campaign and it could be Ramsey. They are prepared to offer the former Arsenal man a two-year deal to join them and he will become their most expensive player. This would come as a huge boost to the midfielder whose last three campaigns have all be plagued by different injuries.

Chelsea will pay 75% of Kepa’s salary as he joins Napoli on loan

Chelsea is close to offloading Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan to Napoli in this transfer window, but they will pay a significant portion of his salaries. The Spaniard is the world’s most expensive goalkeeper after Chelsea paid £71.6million for him in 2018, but he has hardly been a good buy. Edouard Mendy replaced him in the Chelsea goal when Frank Lampard became their manager and he has been the second choice since then. He wants to play regularly this season so that he would be selected for the next World Cup, and Matchplug understands that he is now one of the players Napoli wants to sign. However, he earns £150,000-per-week and Napoli cannot pay up to half of that figure. Chelsea is set to keep paying 75 per cent of that wages while he plays for the Italian Club. Considering that they have no other top goalkeeper, the Blues might be forced to sign another goalie.
