Two of African Women’s national teams Nigeria and Cameroon will meet for this quarterfinal of the African Women Championship hoping to eliminate their rivals.
Cameroon has not had a very good campaign with a win and two draws from their three group games, but it was enough to help them qualify for the knockout stages and they will hope their competition will kick on from now.
Nigeria lost their opening game of the competition to South Africa, but they recovered well to beat Botswana and Burundi to qualify for the quarterfinals.
Both countries are not as strong as Cameroon, so the Super Falcons need to work harder now to ensure that they will not be beaten by their neighbors.
Matches between them have always be a very close affair, but the Nigerians have won three of the last five head-to-heads and they would be keen to ensure they add to that record from this fixture.
