Brentford hosts Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium in a fixture from the 27th round of the English Premier League. Stay ready to see our free soccer predictions for today for this fixture. Now, let’s get to work!

Brentford are surely not having the best possible season. The Bees are 16th in the Premier League standings with 25 points won. At this moment they are just five points ahead of the 18th Luton Town and the relegation zone. It means that Brentford have to dig deeper in order to ensure their survival in the league.

For Thomas Frank’s team, their biggest problem at the moment is the current form. Brentford are in a run of three consecutive losses in the league. They have lost four of their last five matches in the Prem. Last weekend the Bees faced West Ham United away from home, but conceded four times and suffered a 2-4 defeat at the London Stadium. Neal Maupay and Yoane Wissa scored for Brentford, but West Ham were just better on this day.

Now Thomas Frank has to try something different against Chelsea on Saturday. Yoane Wissa could return in the starting eleven while the Danish international Mikkel Damsgaard could refresh the line-up as well. It’d be a good idea for Frank to mix the starting eleven a little bit – Brentford surely needs something new here.

Chelsea approached this visit to the Gtech Community Stadium from 11th place in the table. Just like Brentford, Chelsea are having difficulties this season. A few days ago they had the chance to win a trophy, but suffered a loss in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool at the Wembley. This put even more pressure on the manager Mauricio Pochettino. His future at the Stamford Bridge still looks far from secure. There are rumours that Pochettino could say goodbye to his job at the end of the season.

In the Premier League Chelsea have won just 10 of their 25 matches. In their last game, the Blues showed some courage though – they fought well for a point against the champion Manchester City at the Etihad. Raheem Sterling put Chelsea ahead, but Rodri equalised for the Cityzens in the 83rd minute. Still, it was promising from Chelsea to cause so much trouble to Man City – maybe they will start to improve now? The team also had some good moments in the Carabao Cup final, despite losing in the extra time.

What could Pochettino do differently against Brentford? Mykhailo Mudryk is among the players who could return in the line-up while Christopher Nkunku could also start. The French striker was signed with a lot of hopes in the summer, but an injury slowed him down. Now Nkunku has the opportunity to prove his quality – a quality we know from the German Bundesliga.

One of Chelsea’s problems at the moment is the absence of a proven goalscorer. Cole Palmer is the team’s lead goalscorer in the Premier League, and he’s not even a striker. This means that players like Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling should contribute more.

Pochettino still has problems with missing players. Thiago Silva is still recovering from his latest injury while Fofana, Cucurella, Lavia, Reece James and Ugochukwu are not available as well. Surely Chelsea will look better when some of them return to action.

That’s our for free soccer predictions today for the Premier League fixture between Brentford and Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium. It’d be curious to see how Chelsea will do here after some promising moments lately. Brentford are not in their best shape so that’s a solid opportunity for Mauricio Pochettino’s team. Let’s see if they will use this chance to record another win.
