Borussia Dortmund worried about missing out on permanent signing of Michy Batshuayi

Borussia Dortmund are happy with the contributions of on-loan Chelsea attacker, Michy Batshuayi but they fear they might not be able to get the Blues to sell him to them.

Dortmund wanted to make his move a permanent one last month, but Roman Abramovic interfered and objected a permanent transfer to the Yellow Wall. Despite his refusal to allow him to leave permanently last month, Batshuayi appears to have no future at Stamford Bridge.

With this in mind, Dortmund should feel optimistic about getting a permanent move over the line when the next transfer window opens, but the Germans are scared and his form has attracted the attention of other teams.

He has scored 5 goals in 5 games since he joined the Germans last month and his form has attracted the attention of other top European teams. He signed for Chelsea in a £30 million deal from Olympique Marseille in the summer of 2016 but was not given enough opportunities in the past two season under Antonio Conte.

Chelsea may sack Conte if he misses out of a Champions League place at the end of this season, and a new coach could give him a second chance to impress at Stamford Bridge.
