Bayern Munich would look to return to the top of the Bundesliga table after Borrussia Dortmund secured a late win over Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Bayern lost 3-1 at home to Liverpool in the Champions League in midweek and they would be keen to return to winning ways with a win here and the fact that they have fallen 3 points behind Dortmund should provide the much needed motivation for them to go all out in this game.
Robert Lewandoski has been in fine form for the hosts recently after scoring 2 goals in each of his last two league games and that could also be the case here as well.
Mainz have been suffering from poor form so often this season. They secured a 3-0 win a few weeks back, but they have since lost their last two league games against Gladbach and Hertha Berlin, their fans would be less optimistic of a positive result in this game.
