Barcelona are monitoring Benfica wing-back Alvaro Carreras.
Now in his second season at the Liga Portugal club since exiting Manchester United, Carreras’ form has gone to the next level in Portugal.
Sport reports Barca chief Deco is having the Spain U21 player observed with the hopes of bringing him home in 2025.
Carreras began his career at Real Madrid’s La Fábrica before joining Manchester as a 16-year old.
However, Barcelona won’t vye for him unopposed, as both United and Real are interested in re-signing the wing-back.
