Tottenham have won the race for the signature of Ryan Sessegnon as the teenager prefers to remain close to his family and friends in London. Sessegnon has been a revelation for Fulham since he broke into their first team as a 16 years old last season. He continued to impress this season and his performances earned him a lot of accolades at the EFL end of season awards.
Several top European sides have been looking to prise him away from Fulham from last summer, however, he decided to sign professional forms with the Cottagers with the hope of helping them get promoted to the Premier League. But they have failed to qualify automatically and would have to go through via the playoffs.
According to Sun Sport, Sessegnon has agreed to join Tottenham for next season ending speculations about his future. per the reports, the 17 years old would sign for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, then he would be loaned back to the Cottagers for the whole of next season so he can get enough game time that his development needs.
Sessegnon has been moved upfield this season as a left-sided attacking midfielder, and he has scored 20 goals in 70 professional games for the Cottagers.
These two sides are looking to be the team that finishes second behind the indomitable Celtic and this game would go a long way to prove which team is the second best in the division. Aberdeen have been the best second to Celtic for the past three seasons, but Rangers are gradually finding their feet as they look to overtake Celtic yet again as Scotland’s best team.
Steven Gerard would be taking over at Rangers next month and try to bring back the glory days to the Ibrox outfit, however, it would great if they can finish this season on a high note and usher in his reign in confidence knowing it can only get better. Another spice to this game is that current Aberdeen manager, Derek McInnes rejected the Rangers offer this season, would the Gers make him regret that or would he prove to them why he turned them down.
Rangers have a good record in this fixture with five wins from their last six games and they have lost only nine times in their last 74 meetings. Despite Aberdeen’s rise, Rangers still have five wins from their last six visits to this ground.
The race for who would not be relegated from the Premier League this season has been more interesting than the race for the division’s winner since Manchester City proved that they are head and shoulders above the rest of the top six, and this game brings two of the bottom four together in what could be a relegation shootout.
When Carlos Calvahal was named as Swansea manager, their results quickly changed and it seemed as if they would end the season inside the top ten, however, things have taken the turn for the worse yet again and the Swans could get relegated if they lose here. Their last league game ended in a 1-0 loss to Bournemouth, the 7th game they have played without a win, and they have collected just 3 points from a possible 21.
Southampton, on the other hand, seems to have found their feet towards this tail end of the season. While the Saints have still won only two of their last 23 league games, they have managed to go undefeated in their last three league games, which is the major reason they are still in the league fighting.
Swansea come into this game 18th and just behind their visitors on goal difference, they would be hoping to win here and send the Saints down to the Championship.

Manchester United are prepared to back Jose Mourinho in his bid to sign a more productive attacker next summer.
The Red Devils are one of the top six’s lowest scorers and Mourinho has identified Napoli’s Dries Mertens as an attacker that can bring goals to his team. Mertens joined Napoli from PSV in 2013 and scored an incredible 28 goals last season even though he was converted to a striker only half way through the season.
He has scored 45 goals in the last two seasons and several top European sides have begun taking notice of him. According to Sun Sport, despite his incredible run of form, his release clause stands at a lowly £25million for teams outside of Italy.
Jose Mourinho is tempted to bring him in and another Belgian could be moving in the opposite direction. Per the reports on Sun Sport, Marouane Fellaini could be on his way to Naples as Napoli remains one of his several admirers.
Fellaini has refused to sign a new Manchester United deal and claimed earlier this week that United are in a week position as they did not offer him a new deal quick enough.
This is one of the rare occasions that these two teams would square up against each other and the La Liga title is not on the line, but that still doesn’t make this game insignificant.
The Catalans have just completed a domestic treble, but they are still unbeaten this season and this game remains their only major threat to going the whole season unbeaten. They would hope to at least a point here and achieve that remarkable feat.
Real Madrid may have their eyes on winning their third straight Champions League crown, but they would still love to be the team that ends Barcelona’s unbeaten run and they would be looking to ride their luck like they did against Bayern Munich on Tuesday in this game.
Madrid are one team that knows how to get the results through whatever means possible, however, if they give the ball away to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez like they did against Bayern Munich in midweek, they would pay for it.
Lionel Messi has been the driving force behind this Barcelona team and he netted a hattrick again last weekend to take his goal tally to 32 in La Liga and 43 in all competition this season.
Real Madrid are unbeaten in their last three visits to Camp Nou, however, Barcelona have won 6 of their last 9 La Liga meetings with Real Madrid.
Chelsea were crowned Premier League Champions at this stage last season, this season they have surrendered their league crown to the dominant Manchester City and are even at risk of missing out on the top four entirely.
They come into their final three games of the season 5th on the league table with a five-point deficit on Tottenham who are 4th. While they chase a Champions League spot, they also have an FA Cup final date with Manchester United and Antonio Conte would be looking to keep their confidence high.
The Blues have hit top form in this run-in, they beat Swansea 1-0 in their last league game to make it 4 wins on the spin, they had previously lost five in eight prior to that run. They, however, lost to Spurs at home a couple of weeks and they have five losses from their last eleven league games.
Liverpool are coming into this game fresh from securing a place in this season’s Champions League final following a 7-6 aggregate win over AS Roma.
Their season’s success has been built around their indispensable front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah. The trio have netted 56 times in the league this season, with Salah scoring 31 of those goals to lead the scoring chart.
Chelsea have conceded 8 goals in their last 5 league games, and that would be sweet music to the ears of Liverpool attackers as they would look to undo the Blues defensive plan here again.
Liverpool have three wins and three draws from their last six encounters with the Blues.
