Phil Jones is a target of Everton Manager, Sam Allardyce ahead of next summer’s transfer window.
The England defender has been underperforming this season and he has come under increased scrutiny from the club’s fans so far. Jose Mourinho also appears to have become fed up with the England defender alongside Chris Smalling and he is looking at selling the two of them next summer.
Jones has not been named in the matchday squad for the last couple of matches with Chris Smalling and Eric Bailey Mourinho’s preferred choice so far.
Allardyce has been having problems with his defence also and he rates Jones very high. The former Crystal Palace manager has been unimpressed by the form of Micheal Keane and Ashley Williams so far, and he has already planned a summer spending spree to strengthen his defence.
However, a move for the England man would depend on whether Allardyce would still remain at the helm when the season ends. His team have had an up and down form since the turn of the new year and he could be axed if they fail to qualify for the Europa League at least by the end of the season.
Salzburg were given no chance of survival let alone triumph when they visited Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of this game last week, but the Austrians defied the odds and raced to a 2-0 lead, before seeing that cut in half by a consolation strike from Andre Schurle, they would now be looking to complete the job at home.
They followed that win with a 2-2 draw against Mattersburg on Sunday, it wasn’t the best result, but they are currently 8 points clear at the top of the Austrian Bundesliga and they can afford to drop some points.
Salzburg are unbeaten in all competitive football since August, which is 32 games ago, they have recorded 21 wins and 11 draws from those matches. They have five wins from their last 6 European home games.
Dortmund have had a poor season despite starting very well. They are now 21 points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, they left the Champions League in the group stages and they are also out of the DFB Pokal. The Europa League is their only chance to win a trophy this season.
Last week’s meeting was the only meeting between these sides.
The first leg of this game gathered so much buzz because of the attacking style of these teams. However, they both failed to really get going in the first leg until the second half when Leipzig raced to a 2-0 lead. Zenith fought back but they were only able to get a consolation goal and they now have some work to do to get a win while avoiding a goal from the Germans.
Zenith would prioritise the Europa League now as they have fallen to the fifth position in the Russian League after drawing against Rostov the last time out. They have a good home form anyway as they have won 11 of their last 16, with only 3 of those ending in a loss. They have won every single European game this season.
Leipzig have 3 losses, 2 draws and a win in their last 6 matches to leave themselves 6th in the Bundesliga table. They have also won only 3 of their last 11 away games so far, losing five and conceding 18 goals. They have been involved in over 2.5 goals scored in 7 of those 11 games.
While Besiktas defied the odds to get this far in the Champions League, this seems to be the end of the road for them after they were humbled 5-0 at the Allianz Arena a forth night ago. Since that first leg routing, they have commendably gone on a run of four games without a defeat, winning 3 of them.
Although it is almost impossible for them to overturn their first-leg deficit in this game, they would be looking to show the rest of the world what they can do at home when they have the complete 11 players for 90 minutes.
Bayern Munich are a world apart these days. The Bavarians wallopped Hamburger 6-0 at the weekend to make it 19 games without a loss, 18 of which have been wins. They are now 20 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga and in Robert Lewandoski, they have an attacker every football fan wishes play for their team.
The Pole score a Hattrick at the weekend to make it 28 goals in 30 games so far this season. They have 8 away matches on the trot and they would be taking that form to Turkey hoping to come back victors yet again.
There are so many ways to make money from sports betting, this is because there is no shortage of opportunities in the sports betting industry and everybody who has a little edge – anybody can have an edge – can make money from that edge. In this article, we have discussed a few ways you can make money online through sports betting, this not an exhaustive list.
This is the obvious and most popular way to make money online betting on sports. With this method, you simply decide on a sport you want to bet on and invest a bankroll on it.
It is always very easy to start betting on sports, all you have to do is simply deposit money on some bookmakers and bet on the games you want to. You can also pay professional tipsters like Matchplug to help you select winning games and the right predictions so you win most of the time.
Before you can make money on sports betting, however, you need to have an edge over the bookmakers as they almost always set their odds based on the information they have that you don’t.
With this option, you can make money by placing winning bets but you don’t have to go through or the troubles of researching teams and the game’s possible outcome. You simply pay a tipster like Matchplug who has already done the research and they would provide you with the best bets to place based on their empirical research. Tipsters are usually paid monthly or game by game.
Why you should use tipsters is because experience counts a lot in betting and tipsters are usually very experienced and know how to research games. They would offer you more winning tips.
The downside to using tipsters is that some of them are really bad at making predictions and you never quite know if they are really researching your games or just offering tips from the top of their head. Really good tipsters are quite expensive, so if you choose to make money online through tipsters, be ready to invest in it.
This is a betting method used by bettors to make some money from the free bets being offered by bookmakers. In other words, you are betting with the free bonuses being offered to you by bookmakers with none of your money being risked.
With this method, you would not have to deal with losing streaks and unlucky match results as it is almost risk-free. All you have to do to win all the time is to use the right free calculators and other free services to get the right bet.
The major downside to this method is that you cannot bet if there are no bonuses offered to you and even when you can bet with the bonuses, your winnings would be small and a loss could wipe out all your bonuses.
The Arbing betting technique is a method of betting whereby you bet to take advantage of the different odds offered by bookmakers in order to make a profit regardless of the outcome of a game. The difference between this and matched betting is that you don’t involve bonuses and it is a sure bet winning technique.
Here there are no losing streaks and it is quite easy to find software that can help you out just like in matched betting.
However, there is a major issue with an arbing account as bookmakers do not like accounts who are arbing. In many cases accounts that bettors use in arbing are limited.
Apart from daily sports betting, there are several ways to make money online through sports betting and the most popular has to be becoming an affiliate. This is simply using your affiliate link to ask people to sign up to a bookmakers website, and every time they bet, you get a commission usually for life. Most free tipsters use this system to get money while offering tips for free.
The good thing about this technique is that you don’t need to place a bet yourself and you may not like betting and still make money.
The downside to this technique is that you would need a large audience to get a few of them to sign up through your link, and because the margins are low, you would need some patience before you can start earning much.
The Champions League is AS Roma’s best chance of lifting a silverware this season and the Giallorossi would do well to get past Shakhtar Donetsk and reach the quarterfinals. They came from a goal up to lose the first leg 2-1 in Ukraine, but they have a chance of redemption in this second leg at the Stadio Olimpico.
They are currently 16 points off the top of Serie A, but their European form has been great this season. They topped their group ahead of Chelsea after beating the Blues 3-0 at home and securing a 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.
They head into this games with two wins from their last two games including a surprising 4-2 win at Napoli a few days back, that should boost their morale ahead of this game.
Shakhtar Donetsk are running away with the Ukrainian league once again as they are currently 5 points ahead of Dynamo Kiev with 22 games already played. They were the first team to defeat Manchester City this season and they head into this game on the back of 5 consecutive wins.
They won the first leg 2-1 and would be looking to cancel out Roma’s away goal early in this game.
