The NBA announced on Friday that it was fining the Philadelphia 76ers $100,000 for violating league injury reporting rules.
Philadelphia did not correctly disclose the game availability status of Joel Embiid before their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 2nd. The 76ers listed Embiid as “Out’’ in the initial injury report, but he subsequently played in the game.
The fine covers the team’s existing history of fines for violating injury reporting rules.
