Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton is stepping into the broadcast booth as a player contributor for “NBA on Prime”, making his debut Tuesday night during “NBA Nightcap.”

Haliburton, who suffered an Achilles tear in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, will provide fans with behind-the-scenes updates on his recovery throughout the 2025-26 season, alongside commentary on league developments and games.

“I’m going to be talking about the games, talking about the season, talking about the NBA as a whole,” Haliburton said. “Sometimes the way our game is discussed in the media has bothered a lot of players, and I want to bring a perspective that reflects the players’ side.”

He joins an experienced studio crew featuring Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash, and Udonis Haslem, alongside host Taylor Rooks. Haliburton hopes to offer insights that only a current player can provide, complementing the perspectives of retired NBA legends.

“I’m excited to put the game in a positive light and help fans understand it—and the players—a bit better,” he added.

Originally viewed as a long-term project, Diomande has exceeded all expectations. Some inside Leipzig now believe he could become a €100m player.

The 19-year-old’s rise has been electric. He has seven goals and four assists this season, and he hit a hat-trick in Leipzig’s 6–0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend, with elite scouts watching.

Liverpool and Spurs are tracking him closely, while reports suggest at least 10 other major European clubs are also monitoring his progress.

Maresca unhappy with ‘easy goals’ in Chelsea’s late loss to Atalanta

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca lamented his team’s defending after they lost 2–1 at Atalanta in the Champions League.

Ten-man Roma slip in title race after shock loss at Cagliari

Gianluca Gaetano struck an 82nd-minute winner as Cagliari beat 10-man Roma 1–0, ending their 10-match winless run in Serie A.

Roma were second best from the start. Cagliari pressed hard and created the better chances. Roma managed only one shot on target before the break.

Sebastiano Esposito forced a strong save from Mile Svilar as the hosts kept pushing.

Early in the second half, Zeki Çelik was sent off after a VAR review changed a Cagliari penalty to a free-kick, ruling the foul began outside the box.

Cagliari kept the pressure on. Adam Obert nearly scored after a sharp move in the area, but Svilar saved again.

Gennaro Borrelli finally broke through late on, sealing a crucial win. Roma’s defeat dents their title hopes.

Winless Fiorentina boost security after players receive threats

Fiorentina have increased security and contacted authorities after players, staff and their families received threats following Saturday’s 3–1 loss to Sassuolo. The defeat left the club winless in 14 games and bottom of Serie A.

The club condemned the “unacceptable and shameful” messages and voiced full support for everyone affected, stressing that intimidation and violence have no place in football.

Pulisic leads Milan comeback to reclaim Serie A top spot

Christian Pulisic struck twice as AC Milan rallied from 2–0 down to beat Torino 3–2, returning to the Serie A summit and extending their unbeaten league run to 13 games.

With manager Massimiliano Allegri suspended and watching from the stands, Milan made a poor start. Fikayo Tomori handled in the box while battling Ché Adams, and Nikola Vlašić converted the 10th-minute penalty despite Mike Maignan getting a hand to it.

Torino doubled their lead seven minutes later when Vlašić set up Duván Zapata, whose powerful strike slipped through Maignan. Milan were stunned, but Pulisic’s heroics turned the match around after the break.

Madrid lose composure in shock 2–0 home defeat to Celta

Williot Swedberg scored twice as Celta Vigo stunned Real Madrid 2-0 at the Bernabéu. It was Celta’s first league win there since 2006.

Celta started fast. Pablo Duran slipped early but recovered to force the game’s first blocked shot. Madrid responded through a corner, with Eder Militao and Jude Bellingham both denied by Ionut Radu. Militão then had to leave injured after a crucial challenge on Duran.

Celta stayed organised and frustrated Madrid. Long-range efforts from Bellingham and Antonio Rüdiger failed to trouble Radu. Arda Güler tested the keeper from distance before missing a big chance created by Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé.

Celta’s discipline and Swedberg’s finishing proved the difference on a poor night for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Ipswich stun leaders Coventry with 3–0 win

Ipswich shocked Championship leaders Coventry with a 3-0 win at Portman Road. The result ended Coventry’s five-match winning run.

Sindre Walle Egeli, George Hirst and Ivan Azon scored for Ipswich. The victory pushed them up to fourth place. Coventry suffered only their second away loss of the season.

Frank Lampard’s side remain seven points clear at the top. Middlesbrough stayed second after beating Hull 4-1 on Friday.

Millwall moved into third. Mihailo Ivanovic scored in a heated 1-0 win at Bristol City. He finished a rebound in the 59th minute after Radek Vitek’s double save. City had a late equaliser ruled out for offside. A mass brawl followed the final whistle.

Kounde brace lifts Barcelona past Frankfurt

Barcelona fought back to beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 in the Champions League. It was their first-ever win over the German club. It also extended Frankfurt’s winless run to four games.

Barça started fast. They pressed high and created early chances. Robert Lewandowski scored in the 10th minute, but VAR ruled the goal out for offside. Moments later, Gerard Martín forced Michael Zetterer into a sharp save.

Frankfurt struck first in the 21st minute. Nathaniel Brown slipped a clever pass to Ansgar Knauff. Knauff held off two defenders and drilled a low shot past Joan García.

Barcelona kept attacking but lacked precision in the final ball. Frankfurt doubled up on Lamine Yamal and slowed Barça’s rhythm. Pedri and Raphinha pushed forward, but the visitors stayed organized. Just before halftime, Ellyes Skhiri went close after a smart setup from Knauff.

Frankfurt opened the second half with two quick chances. Barça responded through Raphinha, who fired over from a Marcus Rashford cutback. The pressure finally told. Rashford whipped in a superb cross and Jules Kounde headed in the equaliser.

Two minutes later, Kounde struck again. He found space in the box and punished Frankfurt’s static defending. Barcelona held on for a deserved comeback win.
